As others mentioned, a little slice of paradise in the Whitsundays! Leonie’s place is well taken care of, with a lot of attention to detail and the comfiest bed which seems to be made of clouds. As the name hints, this is a peaceful retreat away from the crowds, if you are looking to switch off and comfortably enjoy nature and birds singing. It’s also small enough that pretty much feels private - we only shared the bathroom with another couple who seemed to be in the same wavelength as us. The breakfast was a plus too, as Leonie gave us all the ingredients we needed to cook a wholesome brekkie and charge up before heading back home!

Heads up that the property is at the top of a hill, which makes sense given all the nature surroundings, but it made us break a sweat on the way there. Personally I feel it’s a fair price to pay to access paradise, but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. This wouldn’t be a problem at all if you have a car though.

The accomodation is gorgeous, you feel like you are in a rainforest it is so lovely being in nature. We loved the hosts dog Salt and all the birds we got to see during our stay. The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfy the best sleep of our road trip so far. Leonie was so accommodating and kind to us during our stay she makes you so comfortable at the property. There are nice balcony areas to relax, one them has a jacuzzi where you can sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Would highly recommend this to anyone coming to Airlie Beach, we didn’t want to leave! Thank you Leonie

The BNB is beautifully decorated and well equipped, nestled in a quiet and beautiful street up the hill from Airlie Beach. We had the larger room, and had everything we needed. A private balcony was a wonderful bonus, we could drink our morning coffee in private and just enjoy the gorgeous nature around the house. In the morning beautiful white cockatoos that visit the house, which was simply amazing! Leone is a super host, she was responsive and helpful, and helped us book our coral reef trip with a discount. We really loved the stay there and only wished that we spent more time there.

You couldn’t quite walk to the beach from the BNB but we had a car so this was no issue.

It is the most beautiful oasis in a dead end street. Walk through the entrance and be transported into a green tropical paradise. There is an abundance of bird life and if it rains the frogs will chorus you to sleep. The surrounding gardens have areas to sit and absorb the tranquility and colour only tropical Queensland can produce. I loved it. Leonie, the owner, is a bundle of energy and fun. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she really wants to ensure that the best time is available for all. She works hard to maintain this wonderful paradise.

Leonie is a great host that made me feel welcome and helped me decide what to do, calm place (aside from the wildlife) place with beautiful shared spaces, comfortable bed, well equiped kitchen

Do it yourself breakfast (I didn't like it at first, but Leonie provided great ingredients and I have to admit that since many people will want to take tours that start early in the morning this is better than a set breakfast time), the "Buddha Room" is a bit dark and the way to the toilet is a bit far and can get wet if it's raining (umbrella provided, but who wants to deal with an umbrella in the middle of the night, doesn't apply to the other rooms => otherwise 10/10)

The accommodation is beautiful and very close to nature. The style is Balinese with beautiful wooden elements and a super lovely outdoor kitchen. Anyone who likes nature is in good hands here. It is also not far from the town or the beach. However, the best thing about the accommodation is the great hostess, who puts her heart and soul into looking after her guests! Dear Leonie thank you so much for your hospitality! You are amazing and your accommodation is really unique! Special thanks to your generosity! The host Leonie was super-welcoming and made us feel really at home. I loved everything about the retreat - the outdoor spaces, relaxation areas and meditation spaces were very peaceful. Our room was perfect and the bed really comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the shared bathroom - no inconvenience at all it was shared as it was adjacent to the room - with luxurious toiletries provided, including lemongrass scented fragrance sticks. Perfect location if you would like peaceful surroundings, just a 30 minute walk into town, although Leonie was very happy to drop us there and a taxi back only costs $13. The most relaxing place I have ever stayed and would highly recommend!

Upon arriving, we were uplifted by a sense of wonder and excitement…which began at the gate to Leonie’s home and followed us up the path to our accommodation. This tropical haven is truly wonderful; so many pathways to explore and places to stop for quiet contemplation, including a spa where you can greet the morning sun with a coffee or yoga mat. Our accommodation, with its own deck (with a view, seating and a bbq), kitchen (stocked with coffee and breakfast of eggs, bacon, milk, cereal and fresh bread etc) and bathroom, was wonderful. Thank you Leonie, for being such a gracious and generous host, and thank you for the gift that is your home. We have carried its spirit back to Melbourne, in our hearts.

Our stay was too short!

This place is magnificent, it feels like paradise. We had an amazing time here. The facilities are incredibly clean, they include everything you need and more and the owner Leonie is just the sweetest! She is always listening and providing everything you need. The view is fantastic and it’s an amazing place to relax and connect with nature. I’m definitely coming back!

Amazing amazing place! Leonie is just the sweetest most heat warming and helpful host you can imagine. She drove us to and from the Greyhound, dried and folded our laundry and just wanted us to have the best time. The place is surrounded in nature, has a great hot tub and has a lot of beautiful birds and her dog Salt is so incredibly adorable. Highly recommend! ☀️

We picked the place because it is a little remote, but getting there can be tricky without a car.
