second stay here - the pool is great for the kids, the staff are lovely and the breakfast buffet is really excellent quality. Rooms are good size and comfortable beds and beddings. it would have been nice to have a bath, but otherwise couldn’t fault it.

The room service menu had changed since our last visit and there was not as much variety and not as many kid friendly options. even the kids items had an Asian fusion bent to them - eg the crumbed chicken came with tonkatsu sauce and sesame seeds and Japanese seasoning. so our kids wouldn’t eat it. the pizza was pretty average too, and $72 for a steak seems a overpriced even for room service.

Staff were really lovely. Properly was modern and comfortable.

Breakfast this morning was a disaster. We waited for over 10 minutes in the lobby to be seated only to be told the buffet was closing in 5 minutes. It was extremely busy being a Sunday but there were tables on the balcony and along the bench to be seated. By the time we did get seated, there was barely any hot food left. Or bread. Or fruit. And no juice. Maybe you should make breakfast available until 10.30 or even 11am when the hotel is at capacity and provide more breakfast food to cater to everyone. Very disappointing when we were looking forward to a yummy big breakfast after our event the previous night.

strategic locatioon standing shower [unlike most hotels which have bath tubs]

The bed mattress should be firm and not soft - like orthopedic type. Remember there are guests who are elderly, and many may have back problems. Early check-in , if possible like arrival around 12 noon but before 3 pm, IF rooms are available. The charge for early check-in of A$60 is not welcoming. However, the Conceige service is great. It took our luggages, tagged and store them. It then delivered the luggages to the assigned room when we returned slightly before 3 pm. We did not expect such service. But it made our check-in forgot about the "early check-in" charge.

I really enjoyed checking in, it was a seamless experience and the lobby looked fantastic. One of the staff I would like to particularly mention is Collin (?) I think that was her name. She was great and very professional, definitely an asset to the Crowne Plaza.

At the beginning when I checked into the hotel. There was a noice that was caused by the air vent or door which was quite annoying to deal with. Upon mentioning it to reception, Collin was very professional and understanding and changed our room immediately. I appreciated that so much!

Breakfast was good except that when my wife ordered poached eggs, on both days of our stay, the eggs didn’t come and we had to ask what was happening. About 30min wait on day one, and about 40mins on day two. Both after someone took our order. The food came, was good, tasty. All other food and service was great.

If you take an order in the restaurant, see it through. Perhaps you could have certain waiters looking after certain tables instead of what appeared to be no order where waiters were serving anyone at any table.

The location was fantastic and the staff were great.

Really enjoyed the hotel and our stay. My major concern would have to be your pillows! They look really wonderful laying on the bed - that is until you place your head on them and they just go flat! Perhaps try two then? - I did and they both go flat. Really uncomfortable. Some places offer a pillow menu or at least a choice of two types in a room - you would benefit from this. It was also VERY hard to get the aircon to keep a constant temperature that was comfortable. It did seem to do whatever it wanted to do whilst never settling at the programmed temperature.

The room, location and breakfast were all good

Finding out when I got my final bill that I had been charged for a bucket of ice sent up to my room. Also not realising or not been made aware that every time I ordered a barista coffee or had an omelette at breakfast, I was been charged extra. At no time during my stay was I made aware of these extra charges. Just seems like penny pinching to me. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and have experienced anything like this. Certainly left a bitter taste in the mouth

Breakfast was fantastic - an excellent variety of options and the staff were magnificent. An extra special thank you to Timothy and the staff for the thoughtful gestures to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The pillows & bedding were incredibly comfortable - will

The photos on Booking.com indicated that the room I selected was different to reality (different layout/view/amenities)

Got in late on the first night ... couldn't be bothered with local restaurants even though there was an abundance starting right next door to hotel ... so ordered a "club sandwich" from room service ... my partner who is a fan of this claims it's her "best ever" ! It was very, very good. There was an abundance of towels which was refreshing to not have to ask for more, the bathroom layout was great - room for two people to spread their toiletries around, ample storage for clothes and sundries so we did not have to "live out of the suitcases" ... the whole room was very well laid out ...

We never did get the device to TV connectivity working - but we couldn't be bothered to ask for help from the very helpful staff who I'm sure would have worked it out for us. Air Cond kept going "off" ... we did not understand why but all we had to do was turn it back "ON" and all was well ... with eastern exposure air cond was needed first thing in the morning as the sun comes up over the Adelaide Hills (see photo) ... on the PLUS side a beautiful sight to behold ... AND ... the blackout curtains were very effective for those who sleep beyond sunrise! ;-)

It was a great location within easy walking distance of shopping and dining, entertainment, nightclubs etc.

More information, for people traveling by private car that you need to turn into the lane before the hotel would have saved us doing a big circuit in peak traffic. You then need to go around again once you have unloaded your luggage to park your car. We were given information verbally on arrival about the hotel but there is no written info in the rooms for you to refer back to. The room did look a lot flasher in the advert photos.
