New and fresh. The bed was big and comfortable. The tram station was a 2 minute with free tram into the city. Ela restaurant was comfortable and delicious. Parking was convenient and cheap.

Great location, and chilled vibes for a relaxing break! Rooms are fabulously appointed, and beds were super comfy to have a great night's sleep.
I felt that there could have been more staff at Breakfast, it was pageant morning, and many people were up earlier to have a meal and then go and enjoy the festivities , however one (amazing) girl at breakfast was holding the fort between 645 until at least 715 , great service but definitely need more food & beverage staff on for the morning rush, esp. pageant morning! Also, there was some confusion re the use of parking our car, we were asked if we needed parking, to which we confirmed yes, however our car was never registered and then we had to pay full price upon checkout, as a process was not followed when we checked in.

Alba is stylishly designed and the common areas have a nice relaxed vibe. Our very large room had plenty of storage which makes a difference for a longer stay, as do a table and two chairs and a super comfortable bed. We had a great view of the parklands beyond South Terrace which would have been nice to explore except for the intense heat (high 30s every day). Luckily we could cool-off in and beside the large pool and eat delicious salads from Ela for lunch. Friendly and helpful staff top it all off!
It’s on the edge of the city so a bit of walk to most places ... not a problem if it wasn't so hot! There's a bus around the corner and city tram a 10-minute walk along South Terrace. Considering how good the salads were for lunch, the breakfast was somewhat disappointing. The only option in the restaurant is a buffet – it would be good to be able to order one of the delicious-sounding dishes on the room order menu.

Property, room and facilities are pristine. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Great value for the price it is at currently
Nothing to note. The hotel was hosting a company event one day we stayed and we had to leave the pool area in the afternoon. They allowed us late checkout and free drink vouchers as conpensation

Loved that the facility had been renovated whilst maintaining its old school charm. Pool was magnificent. Good location near the tram and parklands.
Overall, a great stay and would recommend to friends/family. If I'm being picky... The room was very clean and had good amenities but there was a stale smell coming from the drain in the bathroom. It would have been great to have some furniture on the balcony as this overlooked the pool area and it would have been nice to sit out here. Also, something to keep the balcony door open in the warmer weather - also would have been nice to be able to eat breakfast out on the patio/near the pool. Also, a spare roll of toilet paper in the room would have been great!

Hotel Alba has all the little extra touches that make your stay enjoyable, from the in-room coffee machine to the shampoo, conditioner, body wash dispensers, smart TV, iPad and Wi-Fi. The Pool is also a big winner with our kids. The Dining experience, both breakfast and dinner were amazing, the best eye fillet we have ever had!! We love the location with easy parking off the street, making it extremely accessible when you check in. Across the road is a wonderful park with a number of playgrounds, great for a nice break from the city hustle. This is our third time staying and we love it so much that we have booked ahead for another trip later in the year.

Location is good and parking was at the rear of the hotel, $15 per day. South Terrace is at the southern end of the city, no surprise there, and adjacent to the southern parklands - lovely. Check in was easy and quite quick. The hotel is clean and has a modest, understated, but stylish feel. The room was adequate in size and the bed very comfy - king size. The bathroom had a good shower and optional hand-held shower head. The room had a decent balcony facing the parklands. The swimming pool was very clean and well maintained and again, quite stylish. It's a good pool for families, but also non-child couples as you can have a cocktail from the bar and sit next to the pool without a long walk.
Only a couple of things to think about for improvement. The bedding could be improved. The bottom sheet on the bed was at maximum stretch I think and seemed to unravel itself easily. Instead of a quilt cover it seemed to be plain sheet, then quilt, then another plain sheet, not a straightforward quilt cover. It could be quite a mess after a while. The room in the bathroom was tight as the glass for the shower projected quite a way into the path towards the bathroom door. It was a little awkward. The room didn't seem to have any books or brochures for either room features or about the city. That could be improved at a minimal cost, even electronically. There is traffic noise from South Terrace, but really only significant at either end of the business day.

The price attracted me to book plus having the option for a swim in the pool. Room was decent size and well equipped.
Surprised there was no balcony furniture nor a door holder to leave the balcony door open. The pool is surrounded by garage/parked cars so less appealing although the umbrellas and pool deck furniture were cute. Staff didn’t seem to care much nor be fast with transactions at reception and restaurant. Menus werent aligned between the menu in the room and the menu in the restaurant. Busy road right outside.

Staff in restaurant were friendly. Last serving in blue dress was a lovely person and a great asset to hotel. Very impressed with her friendly and professional approach Liked location Pool was awesome Pleased that hotel acted on requests before we checked in
Breakfast good but a little pricey. Needed to have sugar substitute in room and filtered water too. Gym should have more weighs and water plus tv. Noticed a bike in foyer - was this for use? If so, was a female bike so make sure gender neutral options. Happy hour would be great too.

Didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel but several very good cafes within 10 minutes walk. Hotel is close to public transport but quite a long way from CBD attractions such as the Zoo, Theatres, Adelaide oval. We were caught out one night when a football game finished at the same time as a footy game and had to walk as there was no room on buses, trams, Ubers or taxis.
There was a bit of noise from traffic and other guests but really only on one of the two nights we stayed. Noisy music in the bar downstairs.
