Nina was an exceptional host and the location was convenient to Hobart and beyond. The property itself was a gorgeous building that was oozing with history, which you could learn more about just by reading the welcome pack or exploring photos on the wall.

No real complaints. A cooked breakfast is at an additional price, which might be a bit unexpected for a property specifically advertised as a B&B. However, this didn't bother us at all. There were plenty of fruits, cereal, yoghurt, toast with spreads and tea & coffee included to enjoy, plus daily baked treats like banana bread or sausage rolls (which were delicious).

Our host, Nina, is so very pleasant and bakes new tempting items for each new breakfast. We had home made sausage rolls, hazel nut spread bread, cherry cake, scones complete with cream and jam. All this with a complimentary self serve continental breakfast with as many seconds as you want. Or you could buy a fantastic cooked breakfast and top up with toast and coffee. There is a washing and ironing service or we hand washed clothes for free and used the hotels washing line. Large formal garden out the front overlooks the river and Hobart bridge. Bedrooms are all beautifully decorated in keeping with the age of the house. All in all, a wonderful stay.

If only the hotel was less popular we could have stayed in one room for our entire stay but I left it too late and we had to switch rooms. My fault, not Nina's. However, it did mean we sampled 3 great rooms in one trip!

The house itself was on top of the hill with a nice view to the bay and surronded with the gorgeous flower garden! The room had the most comfortable beds ever and we loved the bed heating! Dining room had all the essentials for your convenience all day round and at breakfast Nina suprised us every morning with delicious bakes. Nina was very helpful and friendly! She helpes us organize a birthday suprprise for my husband. She even baked us cookies for the road with the most heartfelt note on the day of our departure. We felt pampered! Thank you!!!

Orana House is a beautiful, well maintained historic house with a lovely garden. It is in a quiet part of Hobart and short walk to local shops. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good combination of historic and user friendly features and a nice view. Orana House is topped off by Nina, who is friendly, very welcoming and an excellent cook. We enjoyed her hot breakfasts, freshly baked cakes and her Yuletide log. Thank you Nina for all your efforts to make our stay enjoyable. We are looking forward to returning.

We had to leave before the breakfast hour but the host set up the continental breakfast ready for us anyhow. The bircher meusli was lovely, juice and coffee were provided along with a selection of different breads for toast, and a freshly cut fruit salad to go on what ever you chose. The home made cinnamon scrolls were delicious and the kids were ecstatic when the host sent us off with a small container with one each for our journey. The house was lovely, very neat, tidy and clean. All the creature comforts as well as games in the lounge room for longer stays. Nice and close to the airport for an early flight. If you area arriving in the afternoon plan ahead by contacting the host to see if there are afternoon tea options.

It is a little further from Hobart than Id have liked if we were in the middle of our holidays and hoping to be close to restaurants and the city. I do wish our stay there could have been longer.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Our room was clean and had all of the necessities for a few night stay. A basic breakfast is included but additional items can be made to order at a price. We enjoyed our breakfast. The location worked great for us as well, a short Uber ride to the city and airport. Nina went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. She specially baked a cake for my sister’s birthday which I appreciate . Thank you for your hospitality, we'll be back soon.

Beautiful period home with a gorgeous garden and view over the Tasman bridge. The host Nina is lovely. The room is spacious and clean. the bed is very comfy. The continental breakfast is very good with Nina’s home baked banana bread and egg bread roll.

The only one tiny issue is that there is nothing, no shelf in the shower to put the shampoo/ body wash bottles on. So have to leave all them on the floor and bend over to pick them up when using. Difficult even I’m a petite person.

This was a great place to stay, loved the garden and views, breakfasts were top quality - all home baked and fresh. The host, Nina, was lovely and helpful. It was interesting to read the history of the house and see old family photos. Nice lounge area and washing facilities. I used the local bus which worked out ok but perfect place for anyone with a car as not far out and parking.

There was light coming into the room but the host said she would attend to this (glass top panel on door. I am sure it will be covered as attention to detail at this accommodation is first class

Lovely big room. Continental breakfast was excellent the first day. 2nd day the homemade muesli/porridge didn't come out till after we had finished. Had breakfast in the dining room. Can sit outside your room or use the other sitting rooms in the house. Went for dinner at nearby hotel. Best meal and best price we had all trip. The bistro at the back of the hotel overlooked the water.

TV wasn't plugged in and had to reset it with help from a neighbour. Other people staying there also said there TV wasn't good. Still blurry and couldn't use it. The owner changed the aerial the next day better but the best.

Lovely gardens around the property. The location, just minutes out of Hobart, was a real plus. It was peaceful and away from the noise of the city but driving in was easy and there’s bus service as well. Our host, Nina, went out of her way to accommodate her guests. Although breakfast was an uninspiring cereal and toast, Nina brought a special treat she had baked each morning. Most of the guests we spoke with had been here before and swore they’d stay nowhere else. We feel the same way.

The bed sheets were past their prime and exceedingly “nubby” which detracted from our nights comfort. That’s too bad as the beds were quite comfy.
