There was nothing we didn’t like we had a good experience all round.

A perfect wheelchair-accessible toilet and shower, with a vast room area, makes travelling very easy and enjoyable. Food was okay for me, and there were charming surroundings to visit and explore, with a great view downstairs; I particularly liked the little history bits on display.

When we went for breakfast, the dude getting us seats, did not acknowledge or look at my companion in the wheelchair and did not address her as to where she might want to sit or what she may want to eat this is very poor service. The food for a vegan with diet restriction was not good a bowl of radish just doesn't make the cost acceptable. A bigger range and simpler ability to change ingredients,

Our premium waterfront suite was absolutely incredible at MACq 01. Everything from the large beautifully designed bathroom to the amazing terrace and harbour views. Highly recommend this suite and hotel for anyone wanting a luxury stay in the heart of Hobart! Staff were very attentive and also made our arrival very pleasant with a bittle of Tasmanian sparkling wine on arrival.

The hotel facilities are are below par for a 5-star hotel. No spa or pool facilities and a very lacklustre gym. Outside of the beautifully appointed rooms at MACq 01, the dining options are very limited and no late night bar opening hours for hotel guests.

I had an absolutely amazing time at MACq 01; It’s a unique place in a perfect location. I stayed for three nights and was able to experience both types of rooms, waterfront and Hunter Street. Both rooms were spacious, modern and spotless; the bed was very comfortable with crisp bed sheets. The rooms are decorated with special details, which make you feel welcomed and comfortable. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable. Special thank you to Lucy who went out of her way to make me feel welcome.

Everything was great.

The room was spacious and clean, and this time I had the added benefit of a balcony so I could cool the room down for a comfortable night's sleep. I also had a bathtub, which was an extra treat, at the end of a tiring day. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly, professional, and helpful, and their service was prompt. A great example is when I enquired whether one of the coffee table books in my room is available to purchase, and one of the staff took the time to find out where i could source the book online and in person - incredibly helpful. The room service was fantastic, too. Great quality food and beverages, all delivered in a timely manner. Thoroughly delighted by my entire experience this time, including the lovely "welcome back" card and gift - very thoughtful, thank you.

Honestly, the only thing I didn't find ideal was green tea not being available in the guest rooms. It is an incredibly minor issue that doesn't affect my recommendation of this beautiful hotel and wonderful staff.

Everything about this hotel was perfection. I had a Hunter St room. The room was spacious, spotless and had everything I needed, including a walk in wardrobe, heated bathroom floors and on demand movies for free. The Old Whatf Restaurant, Lounge, Spirits Bar and room service food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I did the 114 Doors Tour which was so fascinating and fun. The location was close to everything and in an ideal spot right on the water. It’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Will be back for sure!

Nothing. It was all amazing.

The room is situated in the most stunning spot, with lovely light and waterfront views. The balcony offers a lovely place to watch boats come in and just enjoy the sunset or sunrise. The room was very large and with a good layout, the bed very comfortable and luxurious. The location is excellent and lots of restaurants and bars around. I loved just walking around the area near the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful when I checked in. I don't normally stay by myself in nice hotels like this so it was a very special experience for me as first time in Hobart.

The only negative is that the bar underneath the hotel can be a little loud so if you like to go to bed early, it may be too disruptive as you can hear everyone downstairs.

We have stayed at MACq1 before and it didn't disappoint. I was very grateful that we could check into a room earlier as our allocated room was not ready. We requested an additional roll out bed and it was a a big roll in bed. Super comfy. The bed and pillows were super luxurious. The Room service staff and wait staff were exceptional. Friendly, Professional and a great assest to MACq1.The location and ambience of MACq1 is second to none.

I did not like the bathroom layout in this room. Open layout hence no privacy. I would request a second or third room next time we stay.

Super friendly staff even at 2am when we finally got there following numerous delays from Sydney. They were accommodating to our requests, suggested places to go, and were always smiling at us throughout our stay. The room was of generous proportions, with a spectacular view of Hobart and Mt. Wellington. Heated bathroom floors, luxuriously appointed rooms, spaces for bags out of the way of the room, yet accessible to the bathroom - brilliant design Macq01 ! Even learnt some Tasmanian history with all the rooms names after famous Tasmanians. We'll be back !

Attention to detail! Love the little blue glow strip so you can see where the light switches are at night. Very comfortable bed, the cute little balcony, room configuration is great, love that there is a seperate walk in robe to store clothes and luggage with a full length mirror, love the shower/bathroom. The design of the hotel is fantastic, very wide walk way between rooms. The cleanliness also fantastic. All the beautiful timber throughout the hotel. Could not ask for a better location, you walk out the front doors and your on the warf surrounded by restaurants!! Next time will pay the extra for a waterfront view 😊
