Lovely new hotel with great views and very well appointed rooms.

Unable to get reception to answer at any time. Actually had to catch lift from the 14th floor to speak to reception staff and unable to order room service so had to speak to restaurant staff. Reception was always busy and the reception area far too crowded for a large hotel. Despite this staff we’re extremely polite and helpful once you got to speak with them.

Only had the continental breakfast but liked the idea of plated breakfast for the full breakfast but didnt get a chance to try. Small selection but of good quality. Like that you had two coffee machines and the Nestle pods was much better than the single bean coffee machine at the next hotel we stayed in. Great location and beautiful view of the harbour. Heavy wood finish fron t door is much nicer than paint and good sound proofing

No pool. Not a big decsion influencer No hooks in the bathroom to hang things Sadly could not get into the restaurant on two occassions we tried but we had not booked.

Reception staff on arrival and departure Excelent. A big thank you to Reception Manage on arrival as she gave my wife on her birthday a complementry bottle of wine for her birthday 16th January, Many thanks for that. Good size room. Excellent bathroom facilities. Very Clean. Reception staff on departure again Excellent.

Room had no view, looking into a brick wall 3m from our window. Note Reception did offer another room,but smaller with very limited views. Hotel photo on Bookingcom show views, From what I can see, very few rooms would have significant views . Sadly looking from out side hotel, the hotel is surrounded by tall buildings all around except for a limited area, so views at hotel very limited. Plus was. location, basically opposite main Post Office Hobart.

Amazing service from all staff and the amenities were fantastic. I arrived at reception and organised valet parking on the spot within 2-3 mins. We were in our room within another 5 mins. The wonderful ladies at reception helped with an ice pack for my mothers injured knee ( delivered to the room) while i sourced a walking stick from the doctors surgery/pharmacy 2 blocks away, which i was only able to find due to the lovely reception ladies ringing around to find out where i could find one to buy. This kind of service is over and above, absolutely impeccable...and the no.1 reason that i will be sourcing movenpick accommodation wherever available on my future adventures. Tesoro restaurant was incredible to dine at for dinner and breakfast, this just topped of our stay, unfortunately it was only one night, next time i will stay for longer because it was such an amazing place all round..Thankyou to everyone.

Everyone complains about the breakfast in the reviews, but i loved it. Yes, variety could be better, but everything they serve is high quality and very delicious

Actually this hotel deserves the highest rating but i rated 8/10 and i have a good reason for that. We were 2 friends and booked 2 rooms. One of the rooms was on the 7th floor with an ocean view, the other room was on 2nd floor facing a street. When i asked if we both could stay on the 7th floor, they said that there were upcoming guests who wants to stay on the same floor and they reserved the other rooms on 7th floor for them. Like we were less valuable guests? It was a dissappointment

Breakfast was great, location perfect for the food festival and the Sydney to Hobart Sailing race. The new year eve firework was great from our room windows no need to go out for that.The staff very helpful

Valet parking is a worry due to the drop off facility in front of the hotel it's a 5 minutes parking spot ( 4 vehicles at the most) just next to a busy bus stop.....Many time we had no room to park in order to drop the car off in front of the hotel for the Valet parking man to take it to the parking

After arriving around noon via the mid-night flight from Perth and a very delayed connection to a Melb-Hobart flight, I was very grateful to staff for allowing me to enter my room around noon. I had not slept for about 27 hours. That gesture was very welcomed. My room on the 13th floor was very quiet - wonderful! The aircon could be adjusted as required. The location is very safe for someone on their own - opposite the main Post Office, half a block from the pedestrian mall and shops/cafes, and one block from the airport shuttle drop-off/pickup stop.

This was my second stay at the Movenpick. A few things have changed in 12 months. - bottled water is no longer provided so we buy our own or use tap water for coffee/tea and water bottle. - two small cartons of milk were provided in the fridge when I arrived but were not replenished again in four days. We must now find a supermarket to buy milk for tea/coffee. Quite an inconvenience. Fortunately I brought a few with me. - $100 is now charged when we arrive for incidentals and will not be reimbursed, so staff told me, for about one week. If the room is checked on the checkout day, why does it take a week to reimburse the $100?

fantastic staff and very comfy bed! super central but still ok to arrive/park your car with the valet parking for 35 aud. Really huge bed and we slept great after some nights before without good sleep. Mike on reception was a gem, he helped us a lot and the staff was super friendly to ship back to us the smartwatch my husband forgot at the hotel.

our room was nice, but the view was to some other building/inside yard with chimneys (shame, because I requested a higher floor with nice view) and due to closeness to the lift, lots of noise

The location was great. Good size rooms with all you needed for a couple nights stay. The husband loved the pillows. Lovely friendly staff.

We liked the service of Valet Parking because it was offered and because they have no parking provided at the motel. The only problem is we were not expecting to be waiting around for 50 minutes until our vehicle arrived, especially when you rang ahead of time. Unfortunately, there is not enough parking out the front of the hotel for the service to run smoothly everything.

Amazing location, short walk to everything which is super great if you don’t have a car. The hotel smells amazing!! Always such a pleasant welcome when coming back. The rooms are nice and clean, If you have the extra money do upgrade to the city views. The staff are really friendly and always willing to help. Chocolate hour and happy hour was such a great way to wind down before heading out to dinner. The chocolates are amazing. Do come on time or you may miss out, chocolate hour is from 3:30-4:30 and happy hour is from 3-5pm Tesoro was also great, worth a shot if you don’t feel like heading out. Do book in advance cause it can get busy. Valet parking was great too, the staff did not hesitate to move the car or bring the car out on time. Overall, was an amazing place to stay and will come back again.
