So beautiful. The building and surrounds with the history and the art makes this place very special . Much nicer than getting a beige, ordinary room elsewhere. Staff were lovely and helpful. Art tour was a great thing to do as you learned the history of the place and see wonderful art everywhere. It was a great way to start our stay. Free laundry room a bonus. We could open our windows which we liked to get fresh air in the room. Cocktails at the Long Bar were also very good. Breakfast was excellent. Location to everything was brilliant. So glad we stayed here.

It’s time for the mattress to have an upgrade. Was a bit uneven and soft and did impact on sleep.

Absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel. Rooms were huge and the decor 👩‍🍳 💋. There were 3 couples in our group and each of our rooms was unique but all large, comfortable and beautiful with original artworks everywhere, and for sale, so you are literally staying in an art gallery. The hotel has kept a great deal of its former jam factory heritage and modernised just enough to be authentic but modern. The facilities are superb with a cute bar and hotel restaurant downstairs and another great casual restaurant within the complex for coffee, breakfast and lunch called Jampatch. Gorgeous views out to harbour and perfectly positioned near great restaurants, Salamanca Markets and city centre. I honestly could not fault a thing and loved every minute of our stay in this hotel and Hobart in general, which is also gorgeous.

The only teeny tiny criticism was that the rooms were quite dark. I don't mind it, but yes, the lighting could be inadequate for some.

We didn't eat at the hotel, as we wanted to have a different experience each day with food. We loved the room, the ART, and the extra roll out bed for our son, it was perfect.

OK ... What we didn't like was that there was a small 'toy' fairy penguin in the room, that appeared to be a souvenir. Our son's girlfriend loves fairy penguins, and my husband handed it to my son, to take home for Phoebe (his girlfriend). None of us had any idea it was from the 'mini bar'. It was in fact quite dirty, the tag was very old, and falling off. On arriving home after the holiday, I recieved an invoice that $40 had been deducted from our credit card. If I'd know we were meant to pay for the penguin I certainly would have purchased one from the front desk for $40. As we live in South Australia, there's no point posting it back. A disappointing end to a wonderful experience in the hotel.

Second time staying here with family - we love waking up in the morning and going out to see the views. Breakfast from our rooms is always an experience that sets up our day well. Nespresso pods hit the spot. I love that the experience was consistent as last time - we did note 1-2 changes such as no longer providing Tassie water in the glass bottles (instead Mt Franklin bottled water), set of tea no longer has green or peppermint but nothing major.

The twin beds are really soft - you sink in, as a side sleeper it was slightly uncomfortable.

Beautiful atmospheric hotel with great rooms. Great location, walking distance to most things you'd want to see in Hobart.

Breakfast choices were limited, but understandable due to the number of guests taking breakfast. The hotel is just across from a small swing bridge with a metal grid surface, this wouldn't be a problem, but some bright spark has added small metal plates to the surface which clatter noisily every time anything drives over it. Luckily, it stopped during the night, but started very early in the morning, waking us up each day.

Location was great, and valet parking made access easier. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. We ate at the Wharf restaurant where the food, staff and service were fantastic. Late evening bar was pleasant and staff friendly.

Our room overlooked the rear entrance and there was a lot of early moving noise, including bottles being emptied into bins, kegs being moved and laundry trolleys being collected in the early hours of the morning. We could have done with a spare blanket as we were a little cold in the middle of the night. The service in the breakfast restaurant was appalling. Orders not placed and meals received luke warm. After multiple attempts to attract staff and being ignored we left to get a 2nd coffee elsewhere.

Great hotel! Centrally located right on the pier in Hobart. Definitely the exact location you'd want to be as a visitor to the city!! Within walking / seeing distance of most of the best restaurant options in the city. Quiet and beautiful prospect on the water. Hotel decor is interesting and tasteful. Rooms are well-designed, substantially large, and well-equipped. The bathrooms in the regular hotel rooms are particularly big and beautiful. (The ones in the studios are more regular but still nice.) All rooms, including studios and hotel rooms have a mini fridge, teapot, Nespresso machine + pods, sink set-up, and kitchenette countertop space, which was handy. Hotel staff is fantastic and SUPER accommodating. Laundry service is efficient and excellent. In-hotel food options are quite good, too. Would highly recommend staying here.

The gym was small but adequate. It's the only thing I'd suggest improving, if possible!

Location was exceptional: right next to the waterfront and just a short walk (5 minutes) to Salamanca and Hobart CBD. Plenty of dining and coffee options are nearby. Room was spacious and very comfortable, more like a small mezzanine apartment with separate kitchen area. Artwork throughout the hotel provided a great vibe and lent a unique character to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The only real downside is the limited parking. Although valet parking is available it can be time consuming and the service is charged separately.

The building, the art, the history, the room. Very much enjoyed the art and history tour/ talk. Staff were very good, friendly and helpful. The conversion of an industrial building to a hotel was fascinating - very interesting concept and architecture. Great location for exploring the city. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast. Slow service, eggs almost cold when arrived. Toast not warm and served without butter or jam. Suspect our breakfast had been waiting around for a while before serving. New member of staff? Pleasant but not up to the standard everywhere else in the hotel.

Loads of character and local history, with a stylish renovation. We enjoyed the art tour which also gave insights to the history. Helpful and professional staff. Great location. Parking valet service and luggage storage options were excellent in supporting our absence for a few days while we went on a hike.

We weren’t informed at check-in (twice!) about the fact all the hotel information was available on the TV in our room. So unfortunately we didn’t know about the restaurant, live music session in the bar, guest laundry and gym until it was too late to make the most of them.
