Great location, walk to everything, comfortable bed in a spacious, clean apartment. And having the sofa bed meant my friend and I each had our own bed. 👍

Unfortunately there are no flyscreens on the windows, which are sliding doors, which is a real problem in summertime! No ice cube trays for our G&Ts 😉 and it would be good if there was Netflix to chill out in the evening. A few more kitchen utensils would be appreciated.

The Apollo was an unexpected delight. I must admit to being a bit worried after reading some very poor reviews but everything was fine. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member at reception. Our motel room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including a lovely bottle of wine. It was great being able to use the service lift from the garage; it made taking our bags up to our room much easier. The Apollo is in a great location. Just a short walk and you are right in the middle of town with access to all the shops and restaurants.

There were no fly screens on the windows or balcony door. There was air conditioning but I prefer being able to leave a window open at night.

I stayed in the penthouse apartment. I had ocean views and mountain views. The mattress was a bit on the harder so if you don’t like a hard mattress I wouldn’t recommend it, however, whilst I normally sleep on a soft mattress, it was nice to have a change and I think it actually helped.

The lift from the car park was working when I got there which was great as I didn’t have to heave my luggage all the way up 3 flights of stairs, however a couple days in the lift had broken down, and I ended up having to take my luggage down the stairs. Keeping in mind this is a service lift and shouldn’t be used continuously, when booking the room it also specifies that there is only stair access to the room, so when I discovered the lift could actually take me up, I was a bit relieved as I packed heavy. So this wasn’t really a big deal as I was already prepared and aware that there may not be lift access.

1bedroom apartment the bed was very comfortable nice linen good block out blinds ample wardrobe space, lounge very comfortable 2 and 3 seater lounges, large dining table all the utensils you need in the kitchen, dishwasher as well and good sized fridge, smallish bathroom but the shower is a good size the water is hot and has good pressure a small selection of products, there is a laundry sink and a washing machine some laundry powder supplied, close walk to the town centre and quiet of a night, across the road from the beach which you can see from your upstairs balcony that has sun lounges and small table and chairs, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it

They only thing missing here is a dryer

The Apollo Apartments is a fantastic place to lay your head for the night. All of the apartments are fully self contained. Close to pubs, restaurants and shops and the beautiful Apollo Bay Beach across the road There is onsite parking available underneath the units. There is a lift if you have trouble using stairs. The staff never mentioned it though and just said where the stairs were. If you have issues using stairs this may not be the best place to stay if the lift was not available. Overall it was great value and a very nice and tidy apartment. You could easily base yourself here and do all of the Great Ocean Road touristy things.

Wonderful Location!! It is located on the Main road - The Great Ocean Drive and is walking distance from restaurants and right opposite the Ocean! Underground parking to keep your car safe and dry. We were a family of 6 adults + 1 child and had taken the suite with 2 bedrooms and 1 sofa/bed. The stay was very pleasant and the apartment had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

The Elevator from the basement parking was not operational - but it was only 2 floors so not a big problem for us. The Rooms have all you need but can do with some better interiors - the current setup looked a little drab and basic.

The location was perfect & the apartment was spacious. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was comfortable.

We booked a 2 bedroom penthouse apartment. When we arrived the lift only went to the first floor then we had to carry all our luggage up a flight of stairs. There was a door at the bottom of the stairs. When we got to the top we found that we had a 1 bedroom apartment and a 1 bedroom studio separated by 2 heavy doors that we had to chock open. Also when we had a friend visit our apartment they knocked on the door at the bottom of the stairs and you can not hear them knocking! There is no intercom service. Very difficult if there are others staying in the complex and you want to visit each other’s room.

To be honest I was a little dubious about staying here after reading a lot of reviews however decided to keep our booking. So glad we did. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and was more than expected - exceptionally clean. I would more than highly recommended staying here. That said, in regards to the motel / studio rooms on ground level, I personally wouldn’t want to stay in those rooms due to privacy. To access first floor, you need to use a walkway along the side of the building which is directly in front of these rooms, peering straight at the bed. There were no sheer curtains, so I can appreciate those that stayed in that area would not have enjoyed it. That said, book a room on the first floor and no issue.

Appreciate that there were was sensor lighting to reduce electricity bills, however we walked almost to our room in the dark before the lights kicked in. The lights need to turn on such sooner as was a bit eerie walking up stairs and hallway in the dark. Signage out front is not obvious so can be hard to locate.

Great location and super apartment. Quiet. It was very well equipped, super comfortable and spacious. Spotlessly clean. Loved having a washing machine. The bed was comfy and we appreciated having extra bedding in the cupboard as it was cold. Heat pump worked well. Great comfy couch. Deck was great to eat breakfast on and you coud see and hear the sea. Carparking under the building was easy. Check in was easy. Lovely to come home to each night, and a very short walk to the restaurants etc. We would definitely stay again - we loved our stay here!

We never saw any staff for the 2 nights we stayed - we had trouble finding our apartment on arrival and ended up in a part of the building that is being worked on, a bit lost. But just a minor gripe and it didn't detract from our stay.

We were driving along the Great Ocean Road and Apollo Bay seemed like a good mid-way point. The Apollo looked very welcoming from the description and we weren't disappointed. We were a party of 3 and we had a combined apartment and studio. Both double bedrooms were very spacious, with an en-suite in the studio and a good sized bathroom in the apartment. The kitchen was a very good size, as was the living room. It was clean and comfortable and we were pleased with our stay. The Apollo is just across the road from the beach and within walking distance of some nice restaurants and bars.
