I like an organised, well run operation and that was demonstrable at your hotel. A light breakfast (such as you offer) meets my needs ideally
Your hotel was obviously designed with double glazed windows to help mitigate the high traffic noise. My room 134 was not - to me this is an evident 'nickel & dime' attitude to maintenance. My supposition is - one glass sheet was broken by a guest - the guest was made to pay for it, but the broken sheet was removed but never replaced. For the next couple of years I will have a need for accommodation in the Northern suburbs whereby I only need to sleep there - if your staff won't be able to tell if my room has double glazing, I'll be staying elsewhere

The room was small and compact, which is exactly what we needed for our 2 night stay since we did not spend that much time inside. It was a 14 min walk to the train station to get to the city. Bed was quite comfy - met our expectations.
The shower door was a bit annoying because it wouldn't always close properly and if the steam left the shower into the room, the fire alarm could go off. The window was not tightly closed, and cold air could potentially seep in. Luckily it was hot during our stay but might be an issue for those staying in colder months.

Very well clean and new led lighting throughout the entire property on all levels. The green and white paintwork inside the building,, makes it really stand out altogether. The breakfast is really nice and delicious too,,,with a choice of bread slices,,,cereals,,,and your choice of coffee,,,hot chocolate,,fratte,,,tea,,etc,,,and not to mention the little pancake making machine,,,with your choice of maple syrup or jam,,yoghurt,,and other spreads too. Room is great with the nice comfy bed,,,basin on one side,,,good sized window that opens like a door,,,nice tv,,,refrigerator,,,and kettle with the tea and coffee making facilities. And good reverse cycle air-conditioning/heating too.
Only the toilet/shower cubicles in your rooms,,,are a bit small and compact in the corner,,,especially the toilet part,,being a bit small in space around toilet. And no shower curtain,,,to prevent the water going in front of the toilet,,,possibly going out under the door into room,,,whenever the shower 🚿 is used.

I recently stayed at the Ibis Fawkner and had a very good overall experience! The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was convenient for my needs
One thing that I didn't like during my stay at the Ibis Fawkner was that the self-service coffee machine was out of order. I was looking forward to enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee, but unfortunately, the machine was not functioning. This was a minor inconvenience, but it would have been nice to have it available

I have stayed many times, handy location on Sydney Road on the fringe of Melbourne which gets you onto the Hume Hwy to Sydney. My ground floor twin room has been renovated, ensuite, a/c warms the room, clean and tidy. Free parking, good hot breakfast spread. Value for money, cheaper than the Airport Hotel chains. I'm a regular to Ibis Budget when I'm down from Brisbane.
Sadly, just outside my ground floor room were 2 homeless people sleeping in thier cars in the Hotel carpark. At 0500hrs one man was yelling at his 2 poodles in the foggy morning. 4hrs later Police arrived. I feel for these poor humans, sleeping in your car is tough going. Many guests expressed concerns for the noise at 5am, when we are fast asleep.

Cost effective accommodation conveniently located from Airport and City. Public transport was convenient (from airport: 901 bus and 902 bus changing over at Broadmeadows station and from city: train to Broadmeadows station and then 902 bus. There is also train to Gowrie but I did not use this as down for maintenance). Close to Coles / Aldi / Kmart at Campbellfield which is also where the bus stop is (at Mahoneys Rd).
There is no lift so if you're disabled, best to take the lower level. I stayed in room 312 - there's a huge crack in the corner near the door that management will want to look at - I think the spring on the door is causing slamming too hard.

The room was sufficient in size, it was very clean and tidy upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep both nights. The hotel was fully booked yet is was very quiet which was a great surprise. The staff are very friendly and hospitable and helpful when asked for assistance. The property was centrally located to where I wanted to be and I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here before. Good location on Sydney Road, that becomes the Hume Highway, as I was driving 700kms to Dubbo. Quick check in, I was given a clean renovated room at the rear of the property on the 3rd floor (top floor). New TV, aircon 2 single beds. Rooms are a universal standard layout, fridge, kettle tea n coffee. Good value for travellers, free parking right outside the door. swipe card entry. Last time I stayed at this property, I wrote a very damming review of my blocked sink, and dirty room, hairs in the bed. This was a pleasant change, after VIC HEALTH raided the property. And now the rooms are what anyone would expect, a clean functioning room with a modern working appliances and toilets and sinks that work.
I would like to see a shower curtain to keep the water off the toilet pan when taking a shower.

On a long Australia Day weekend, Tennis on in Melbourne and school holidays, Lucky I booked ahead and was able to stay here again. The room was on the ground floor a little dusty, but I had a good nights sleep after watching the Tennis till 11pm. The rooms a well laid out everything you need even Tea and Coffee.
The room was not clean properly, dirt and dust along the wall near the sink and behind the bed. $105 at peak times, I never complain, because you cannot sleep in your car.

Good value for money, very very comfortable bed, room was clean, facilities are very basic but that is the brand. But can I say it again, the bed was very very comfortable, worth a 5 star rating if based on the bed. Also 10 minute walk to train and 30 minute train ride to City, so easy to get to City.
The room I stayed in, 236 the window has a leak around the frame, and in Melbourne's winter, you really need to keep the air conditioning on hot to keep the room warm. Otherwise the room is freezing cold with the air coming in from outside.
