This was a lastminute booking to catch up with friends for NYE who reside in Fawkner, so were very happy we could get accommodation at such short notice. We didnt have breakfast, but if you wanted breakfast it was located downstairs in the dining room and finished at 9.00am. The couple at reception were very helpful and always happy to help out with transport queries etc. The Meadows Inn is walkable 750m and the Gowrie train station is very close and walkable less than 500m. The train station is manned so if you need to buy a myki card (which we did) they can assist or you can buy one from the ticketing machine. We enjoyed our stay at the Hume and would be happy to stay there again.

Although the bathroom was looking a little tired, the hot water was fantastic and all the linen was super clean. Nothing that we didnt like really, maybe the audio on the TV but thats just being picky lol !!

Very nice and clean place, the room smelled amazing when we reached. It's always good to reach a clean and nice smelling room after a long day of travel. There was a secured car park too, that was important to give us some peaceful sleep time.

Getting into the facility from carpark was a bit tricky as we checked in late night, but the reception guy helped us as soon as he realized that we were stuck outside.

The receptionist was kind and generous, she gave me an upgraded room. The bed was very comfy, I had a good sleep. Quiet place to rest. All the basic needs I needed are all there - internet, TV, hot water, spa, microwave, dishwasher soap, waste bin, iron&board. Located near the airport. Value for money.

More on the safety side, I noticed that the door lock where I stayed in is only 1 coming from the door handle. Should add a door chain for added security specially for solo travellers who sleeps alone in the room.

All the staff were lovely. The room was small but we just needed somewhere to sleep and shower. Honestly it was the perfect place and definitely worth the price!

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I generally liked my stay there. It's a nice simple Motor Inn with basic necessities. Again worth the price we payed.

The service and staff were wonderful, they were very accommodating and trying to get us settled after a long drive. The location was very close to the train station as stated in the description.

The walls were quite thin so we could hear the others next door. But everyone seemed to be aware of this and kept the noise to a minimum.

We were upgraded to an apartment which was very much appreactiated. The staff were very friendly and everything was very clean and tidy. Great stay.

We were after some local knowledge about transportation myki cards and trains etc and were not able to get that information as the staff on duty were not local and had just arrived. They were very friendly and efficient at check in though, just weren't able to answer our questions.

Absolutely perfect staff/owners. Extremely accommodating. I have been travelling to Melbourne near weekly for a year and unlike nearly 30 other hotels the owners genuinely care about guests and take pride in their service and hotel. Very friendly and approachable. Immaculately clean rooms. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly and personable. And only too happy to help, including carrying luggage upstairs.

The first time we stayed i had packed bowls spoons etc for breakfast and everything was in the room, so, therefore i didn't pack that stuff this time and the room we were in this time didn't have these items 🤦‍♀️

Always been a great little place to stay and despite it been a few years has only gotten better still! Great value rooms in a location with brilliant access to freeways in either direction yet still quiet in the rooms! Host couldn't be nicer or more accommodating and helpful to anyone that asks or any guests in general and when I need to stay over this side of town I won't stay anywhere else now 🌟

Having to leave!

Spotlessness, convenient to basic shopping. I got a flat enroure to Melbourne and a tyre shop was 4 minutes away. As was a small shopping centre with a huge grocery store. Proximity to motorway Junction (400 metres) heading east, north, south or west. Brilliant location for interstate motorists travellers.

A bit old, but NOT tatty.
