The location was only 350 metres from the Royal Children's Hospital 🥰 The rooms were very clean, had comfortable beds, great blockout curtains and I can't remember the time when they come in to tidy up and make the beds for you ❤️❤️

The Room Service Menu (especially the 24hr one) was just pizza really and if you order Room Service during the peak times you can only get the Starter and Main, if you want dessert you physically have to order at the restaurant and carry it up yourself. So this is why we ordered via Uber eats just more variety 😁 The telephone line even for room service was shocking, crackly and I could barely hear them on the other end.

The staff were all very nice and helpful. It was great to have a restaurant onsite that did room service (with very nice meals I might add) and it was perfect distance to where we needed to be. Very clean, and having parking onsite was great too.

Not really dislikes but if i had to find something...It was more dated than the pictures indicated and the lift was a bit scary (older)...and the key cards are super sensitive to your phone! Kudos to the staff as I was down there about 3 times a day getting mine recoded 😁 Wouldn't stop me from not staying again though.

The staff were very friendly! The location was great to let kids experience trams into the city. The rooms were great and comfortable, and the breakfast included was delicious. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay again!

The bin in the kitchen hadn't been emptied from the previous booking. There were no plates provided for the food we wanted to use in the microwave. The kids were excited to see the bath was a spa, but when we filled it up, we realised it didn't work. Once the bath was emptied, the jets had really dirty gunk coming out of them. The remote for the TV didn't work.

Improved wifi so that you can now access wifi from second floor. Comfortable bed.

They have doubled the cost of parking and breakfast. Parking is still good but the breakfast was terrible. They used to have breakfast cooked to order. Now it is all precooked. You can order eggs how you want them but everything else is precooked and cold. Given that they have doubled the price you would think it would at least be hot but it was cold every morning. Unless you are there when they fill up each item your meal will be cold. Don't bother getting breakfast included in your room rate. There are nearby places to eat which offer better options.

We liked the convenience of the Mercure Hotelfor our reason to visiting Melbourne. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful.

I have a saying 'you get what you pay for' and the standard room was exactly that - other times we have stayed at the Mercure we have had larger rooms and more attractive views from the rooms. On saying that on previous occasions I have booked directly with the hotel and received a discount as my husband is a apatient at a nearby hospital.

The facility was clearly aged, but the upkeep appeared to be OK and the cleanliness was obvious. The offer to be able to park in an undercover facility was a bonus and the rate of $25 per day was reasonable. The ability to be able to leave and enter the car park when required by utilising a token was an excellent idea. The tokens were available at the reception desk and there was no limit to the amount of exit and entries. We found the staff we had contact with were very helpful and courteous.

We felt the room was smaller than we would have liked but the rate was matching that size, so we found it to be acceptable. The lift from the reception area to the rooms was showing definite signs of needing an overhaul - in fact, we decided to utilise the stairs in lieu of the lift in anticipation that the lift may fail.

The room itself met my needs and the bed was exceptionally comfortable so that I had an excellent night’s sleep. Because I had experienced difficulties making my way to Reception, after parking my car, the staff at Reception assured me that next morning a staff member would bring my car from the car park to the front door, and put my suitcase into the car for me. That they did so was greatly appreciated.

Once my stresses involving accessing my car next morning had been alleviated, I had no other causes for concern. My request for a room close to the lift had also been accommodated for which I was extremely grateful.

Well! Good service from the man on late at night getting me off to The Larwill Studio Apt across the road as unbeknown to me they had electrical problems and I couldn't stay at the Mercure. Just wish the one on before him got in touch with me as they said they did and I could've gone straight to the Larwill Apt across the road! Thank God it was comfy and quiet as after a very late night and long haul back from the Northern Hemisphere 🤪 I was in no mood for anything less than 5 star ❤️

They didn't contact me when they said they did to redirect me to The Larwill Apartment Studio apartment in Flemington Rd Parkville 💖

I prefered my stay with you to city more modern hotels. Your staff are all wonderful. Relaxed but super proffessional and attentive. Easy to park and get to my room . Breakfast was pretty standard but good coffee and the guy who runs is is really good . We felt relaxed to stay and included as in allowed to sit without food in front of us .

My room had dark hairs ( I'm blonde ) on the sheets . Would have been good to have milk in the fridge for the tea and coffee. Aircon was inefficient but staff provided a little heater so I think they are aware of dodgy air con ...I was in room 237 . I was warm and the fact they even bothered to provide a little fan heater made me feel welcome

Liked that it was close to the hospital so we could walk, nice clean room, had a firm bed which was great. On-site parking was also handy that u could come and go as many times as you liked.

Only negative the base to the shower had chips/small chunks out of it from just being old, and when washing your hair using conditioner the base becomes very slippery then others we gave used so you need to careful not to fall over.
