beds were super comfortable

the booking in process as quite difficult. the fact that we couldn't prepay before we got there is an issue and the requirements for phot ID, a bond and a separate credit card (physical card) were extremely frustrating. After a long day of travel, we were held up significantly on the check in process which was frustrating! It would almost put me off staying there again. The staff were not very understanding and wanted physical cards- get up with 2024- most of us don't carry cards anymore! They ended up going through my banking app to see card details which I found ridiculous. there was no spare blanket in the cupboard and when I called to request one, I was questioned that they were 'sure' that there was one already supplied (there wasn't)

Location. Accomodating and pleasant staff. Clean. Lovely bathroom products.

Unfortunately. Despite our Booking made thru Booking.com and $$$ being paid. On our early arrival, staff apologised as The booking thru Booking. Com had not dropped into their system. They were fully booked. Wed driven 4 hrs. The staff at Art Series went above and beyond to find a room for us after several hrs. Very grateful but disappointed with Booking.com. Second time this has happened with no apologies,feedback or compensation after several years of loyal patronage. Not sure what’s going on but it’s not great.

The location was really good for our stay, as we had an appointment for our daughter at the royal childrens hospital and the buildings are joined so didn't have to worry about traffic to get to our appointment on time. The room was very clean, also the comfiest bed I've had at any accommodation. Also had breakfast at the restaurant down at The Farmacy one morning was delicious and convenient. Was well priced, and we definitely would stay again in the future.

The one thing that could have been better was the size of the room and how narrow between furniture it was to maneuver our pram, although if we didn't have our pram, it would have been great. It's hard to determine those things when booking. Room size would be great for singles or couples, stayed in a Larwill king room.

A contemporary room overlooking the gardens. It felt spacious and private event though not a very big space. Location was great and the no 59 tram suited our needs. I was able to work downstairs in the lobby one evening whilst everyone slept.

No movies, the kids were disappointed that only free to air was available. They were happy to find money and m&ms under the bed though, cleaning needs attention, bit more thorough. Lamp didn’t work on its own, only with all lights on.

Lovely Art Series hotel located close to Royal Melb Hospital (Adults) and right next door to Melb Children's Hospital, with stunning parklands around. There are trams right outside to take you into the city within 10-12 minutes, and some local shops to stock up about a 7-8 minute pleasant walk into North Melbourne, but the hotel is not located 'right in the action'. But on the other hand, it was incredibly peaceful, and the views across the parklands from my room were absolutely stunning. My room was a real sanctuary, quite spacious, modern, clean, with good coffee & tea making facilities provided. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Uber Eats had no problem delivering meals when required and taxis arrived within minutes of being called also when required, and I took the tram into the city and back without any problem. And David Larwill's art is wonderful! (I needed to extend my stay and ended up staying 6 nights in total.)

As many of the guests I presume, like myself are visiting the hospitals, particularly the Children's Hospital, management need to look at offering in-house laundry facilities. Serviced Apartments offer both kitchen and laundry facilities in-room and possibly the hotel need to think about how to meld some of these services, starting with laundry facilities into their current set-up, it would really make a difference!!

We didn’t have breakfast, didn’t know it was included, perfect place to stay having to have surgery for our son at the royal children’s and they were super helpful when he spewed throughout the bed and had immediate help. A toaster would be great to have in room. We will definitely stay again for next surgery.

It was definitely hard being one room with two kids trying to get them to sleep but that’s our issue haha. Beds could have been comfier but that’s being picky! Smart TV would have been great too as we only had normal TV.

They have 4 tables with games, craft, books, etc. in foyer, which is great to entertain kids/adults while checking in/out or just to fill in some downtime. Roughly 100mtr walk to RCH which is connected to the building, perfect if you're like myself (from rural vic & get bad anxiety), no worrying about getting getting lost in the city or trying to find parking as once you park you don't need to drive again until you leave.

The lights in our room kept flicking from light to bright not sure why.

Stayed at the Larwill while my son was having surgery at the Royal Children's Hospital. A wonderful comfortable room with a lovely view of the park. Easy to park under the hospital, and then use public transport for the week. Have stayed several times before and will continue to do so when we visit Melbourne.

Room was very cosy and theme tied in very well larwill's life. Clean bathroom and toilet facilities Bed was a nice size Temperature control was lovely Excellent location and very handy for those travelling to hospital.

Room was a little bit on the smaller side. Elevator facility was sometimes not as clean (presumably as shared access to patients and visitors to hospital). Unable to check in early which was alright, and just very mildly inconvenient.

Loved the quiet room, loved the position & view. Loved the bed, so soft. Loved the music in the room on arrival - ABC Jazz Close to the venue of my working conference, a great walk. Staff most helpful & obliging. Loved the restocking tea/coffee , towels as needed etc

Pillow options not great Could not use the stairs for exercise but was informed of the reason why - understood. Fibreglass bath & plastic showering facility. Round table felt a bit insecure. WIFI could improve Variety on the menu for dinner.
