The hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to the city, and on the tram-line. he staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was well-appointed with modern amenities and was kept impeccably clean. I also had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant and spend some time in the bar, both of which were wonderful. The food was delicious, with a great selection, and the atmosphere in the bar was perfect for unwinding at the end of each day. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch hospitality experience. Their attention to detail and customer service are what set them apart.

We enjoyed our second stay at Naughtons and would again highly recommend this hotel. Excellent location, only a few tram stops to the city, very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is also very handy to two popular cafes, "Felix"(almost underneath Naughtons) and "Cafe Tesorina" (a 5 min walk from Naughtons). Our room was rear facing, so we didn't have the tram noise from Royal Parade, or the noise from the pub downstairs.

Would've liked a "tall boy"/chest of drawers in the bedroom for our clothes. We also had a nocturnal visitor, an animal in the roof, it didn't keep us awake, but we did notice it moving about when we were getting ready for bed. I told the management when we ended out stay, they were appreciated us letting them know and would investigate.

This is an excellent location when spending most of my time north of the city. The tram stop right outside the front door made getting around really easy. The hotel itself was lovely, clean and the bed was comfy. It was so good to have the restaurant downstairs as well - Tuesday curry night was amazing! The staff in the restaurant really knew their wines as well and made great recommendations.

Sadly, the hairdryer I grabbed from the shared utility room only blew cold air so I had to venture out for another with a wet head.

We arrived in the late afternoon and were met by very friendly staff. The room was very comfortable - simple - but everything we needed for our overnight stay. LOVED the fire place in the rear of the restaurant/bar where we shared a bottle of red and some tasty food. Free parking in a nearby street was a bonus. Easy access to the city with a tram literally outside the front door. Great little place today if you prefer a quiet location rather than the businees of the city.

Lovely old pub/ restaurant with rooms in a beautiful area across the road from the University campus and near Royal Park. The room was very comfortable with a smart modern bathroom and excellent toiletries. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and a special mention for Tim, who worked very hard making sure everything was arranged well. Very convenient to get on a tram into the centre in about 10 minutes. We also ate at the pub and had a beautiful meal with excellent t wine. Breakfast was at a delightful cafe a few yards down the road. The staff were able to keep our luggage on the day we had a late flight out. I would happily stay there again.

It would be worth noting there is no lift to the bedrooms if that were a concern for access.

Love the place its very cosy..And clean too Management were very friendly I enjoyed the stay very much 💕 The location was good for me as my daughter attends a course at University of Melbourne And the tram station is just across the street so convenient Safe too as they lock the door at night

The locking system is a bit confusing for me 😂 not a big deal but i was just a bit lost there

It was a nice change to stay in an old fashioned but very much updated hotel. Our room was one of the smallest but for our nights was just fine. The in house restaurant was a very welcome fund and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Above all we appreciated the obliging, welcoming and friendly staff and the owners are to be congratulated fir their choices. The staff made the place. Being on the 19 Tram line with a stop outside made our stay convenient.

Nothing apart from the fact that it closes its bar and restaurant on Mondays .How dare they want a break!

It was my second stay at Naughtons and my first choice when I'm in Melbourne Friendly and helpful staff, rooms are clean and cosy. For me it's perfectly located Close to CBD, tram just opposite, and the other wunderful Melbourne sourroundings The Pub offers a very good choice of beer, wine and food I highly recommend Naughtons and will definitly come back next time

Fast check in, nice room that was surprisingly quiet given it's above a pub. The pub itself was beautiful. Good public transport options

Not within the venues control, but I would note parking is a bit of a nightmare. As I was departing early the next day, I couldn't use the paid parking nearby so had to risk street parking past the allowed time.

We love the location, comfy rooms and the fabulous restaurant. We like being slightly out of the hustle and bustle yet so close to everything with the tram stop just out the front of the hotel. We have stayed quite a few times and are always pleased to return.

Sometimes you might hear a little noise from the music downstairs but this is only on some nights and earplugs are supplied and work well.
