Location is wonderful. Close to all the action like shopping ,restaurants, transport, river walks, getting into the CBD. The hotel itself is stylishly presented with very helpful staff.

It probably was my attention to detail but the room I booked was on the small side. So just be mindful of the room size as you may end up with a room where you are unable to have two suitcases plus you in the room. Also be mindful of the area and this isn't the hotels fault but Chapel St and Toorak Rd are the places to be seen. So there are plenty of high powered sports car in the streets on a Friday and Saturday night. They are great to look over but when they are being driven and the drivers showing off, the noise is piercing, even 5 floors up. Unfortunately it does keep going all evening.

The room was spotless and beautifully designed. I loved the view of Melbourne we got from our room; we could see the inner suburbs and lots of greenery. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I liked that the services and access in this hotel felt modern - we could access information and room service through QR codes and cast from our devices from the TV in our room. There was filtered tap water in our room. We drove in, but was able to walk a few hundred metres to the station and head into the CBD for a night out when we needed to.

The bathroom was small which may mean a tighter squeeze if you are exceptionally tall and it was hard to find out what time room services and reception was available until.

Amazing, helpful staff that are available 24/7, very cute (if tiny) room with a comfortable bed and chrome cast tv. Great location, close to trams and trains, shopping and just a couple stops on the train to the cbd. Parking voucher is provided which gave me a $14 discount on a one night, less than 24 hour (or single exit) parking time. I requested early check in (normal time 2pm) and my room was ready by the time I called to check around 9:30 that morning. Checkout is 11am which is later than the standard 10am. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back for another stay!

The parking option was a third party carpark where most of the spaces are reserved and the remainder almost full. I was lucky that someone was leaving as I was entering but the chances of getting a space is quite low and definitely not guaranteed. Breakfast options could have included a standard big breakfast, eggs Benedict or option to add extras. I ended up getting breakfast at one of the other many cafes around.

Front desk service was excellent. Very friendly, welcoming and professional. It was our first time there but it was great. The place was funky and had a very trendy vibe. Central location, close to some great restaurants. (We also dined at Omnia bistro and bar around the corner. I recommend their runny centre cheesecake) It has an inhouse vegan restaurant that serves some fantastic food. We didn’t know it was vegan but we still gave it a go coz it was too late to cancel. We ordered the Shepards pie and that was so good. We also tried another dish that was like nachos and my husband thought it was like mince hahaha. I will need to visit again to try the tamales coz it was sold out. The bed and pillows were so comfy! The room though is very small, reminded me of being back in my Uni dorm room :)….but it was cute and had everything we needed. If you have claustrophobia, this might not be the place for you. 🥰

Exceptionally well set up hotel, one of the best globally I've stayed in. Every detail and design aspect has been thought of and catered for. The staff are well trained and lovely. Hotel hair dryers are often an afterthought. This Ovolo has a professional grade hair dryer which was amazing. The rooms are a little on the smaller side if you haven't booked one of the Rockstar Suites, but the suite exceeds expectations in every way. Double shower was heavenly and the bed was very luxurious.

The switch for the blockout blinds was difficult to find. Lighting in the bathroom could be better for makeup application, but these were very minor things.

My room a little small/tight- but it was fine and v comfortable bed Breakfast was v average- ordering off the menu (a single cup of coffee and not offered a refill; may I have some toast each of my three mornings was met with a single slice of toast- that's a bit miserly). All a bit of a fuss and not particularly enjoyable. Fair enough if you want guests to order cooked items but regarding the fruit, coffee, juice, toast part: why not just buffet it. The breakfast room is nice but what a fuss to get breakfast (and by the way, all I wanted was fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice and toast- nothing cooked)

Absolutely loved loved my say at Ovolo South Yarra. Not the first time either! Chose the Boogie Suit great lay out spacious it you want to dump your bags down and just chill.. The girls on reception Charlie & Ash went far & beyond to assure I was getting exactly what I was looking for, Legends! Lona Misa was such a vibe and what an experience, the front of house team were amazing, such a happy bunch. The waitstaffs knowledge of the food/drinks selection was so incredibly helpful, couldn't fault the whole experience. My favorite part was falling asleep to the subtle light show that lightly illuminated through my room, this is an option the block-out blind is amazing for those who love to sleep in absolute darkness.

I regret not booking directly through Ovolo South Yarra.

We didn't have breakfast, but the location was perfect, there were lots of options for food.

The only issue we had was with the service in the bar, they closed earlier than advertised one night and the service was poor another evening. We spoke with the manager and were given free drinks that evening and vouchers for another evening, so the issue was dealt with.

Ovolo was a wonderful experience from start to finish, the staff were genuinely the friendliest I've experienced and couldn't do enough for us! Special mention to JANE who is a testament to Ovolo and was so kind and warm to us, it made our stay extra special for my birthday. We loved the room, the comfort, the free mini bar and the decor. The free lolly bar was so fun and we loved the cute details and amazing fit-out of the hotel rooms, downstairs bar and other areas in the reception - stunning! Would absolutely stay again, the location is perfect and close to all the things you want around Chapel St!

Not much at all! But the lighting in the room wasn't kind and we struggled to do our make-up and take pictures before heading out as it was very unforgiving - however this is of course not a major issue but just something we noted. We also didn't love that parking was away from the hotel as we had a lot of stuff and it was raining when we walked back after dropping our stuff off. Also the gym is not actually onsite but down the street so we didn't visit, which is a little misleading in the description. The lack of gym, sauna etc would play a part in staying somewhere else in future, however we had events on so didn't have a lot of time to do extra activities like this anyway. This has no effect on the quality of the hotel itself, but just something to note.

The South Yarra location is perfect for accessing the best restaurants and connecting to other interesting areas outside of central Melbourne. The hotel and restaurant staff are always friendly and attentive - always providing a wonderful experience. Beds super comfy

Only a small criticism is removing the minibars (for convenience) but they have a little snack and wine/cocktail shop downstairs where you can easily purchase mini bar-esque items. Oh and the air temperature in the rooms doesn't seem to shift from sweltering hot..
