This is a lovely little old style hotel right opposite the Hawsburn train station, just 3 stops to Flinders St. A great location if you are going to the MCG or the Tennis. Our room was a deluxe queen on the second floor. We were greeted by the lovely Yana who was so kind and helpful, providing us with us map of the area and also loaning us 2 MYKI cards to use on public transport. Breakfast was included in our booking which consisted of cereal, granola, yoghurt, peaches, toast, tea , coffee and juice. It is a short walk up to the shops which include the Toorak hotel, Bite of Life Cafe, Mabel's Cafe.... all of which we tried and returned to . Our room was serviced on the second day of our stay, as a rule rooms are serviced every second day. Parking is around the outside of the hotel and is limited, once we parked we used public transport for our stay of 4 days.

Due to it being a older hotel the sound proofing is not that great. We could hear our upstairs neighbour stomping around at night, we endured this 3 of the 4 nights we stayed here. Also we were woken by noisy guests arriving after 11pm and continuing their somewhat loud conversations for over an hour and other guests at 5am hard to tell if arriving or leaving but kept up their antics for over an hour. All this was out of the control of the hotel just inconsiderate behaviour from the other guests. If you want to avoid the noise on your ceiling opt for the third floor, however there is not much you can do about inconsiderate people... maybe pack some earplugs.

Definite value for money, bed comfortable, clean linen (could’ve done with fitted and flat sheet though), tv worked, towels clean and fresh, appropriate lighting and the noise from the train line was audible but minimal and dampened by the building. Shower was great, better than mine at home. The carpet in the room was safe to walk on. Felt secure in the room. The building and outside felt safe. The receptionist who was there in the morning was lovely and polite. Check in was self check in that evening as we arrived a bit later, so made it good I didn’t have to speak with anyone as I was exhausted. I’ve paid more for far less and I am impressed by the accomodation provided here. Will definitely be back. It would be good to have access to a kitchen if we were to stay a few days.

Nothing. It was great.

The staff were lovely and remembered our names! The room size was decent and the shower pressure and size were good. Overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

There were a couple of spots on the ceiling where you can tell there had been a roof leak and on one of them mould was evident. Mould, especially roof/wall mould in a place I’m staying makes me a bit uncomfortable. Also, I feel they could easily do a little more for breakfast. It was toast or cereal. We had it on the first day and it was fine but I’ve never really stayed somewhere that breakfast was included and had it be so limited. Overall thought it was a pleasant stay and these points didn’t really detract from our overall experience too badly, just something to be aware of if you’re staying.

The property itself is like visiting a grande old aunt. Olde World, so spacious garden and parking available. This was a large family home in it’s time.. We had a very spacious room on the ground floor with pleasant outlook, though not fussy. The room decor was fitting for the charm it presented of the period. Large, v comfy bed with fresh linens. The ensuite was roomy, and good shower..Complimentary toiletries and tea / coffee and milk set up. Yana the Manager was delightful in every way possible to make our stay enjoyable. I’m so glad my husband found this site, we intend to stay again. My v early morning walks were a joy, as was the coffee from one of the many ‘Cafe’s’ on Malvern and Toorak Rds …. I noted train Station near our stay, if that’s what travellers require… 👌

Nothing was not liked by either of us. The price reasonable. Being able to park was advantage.. Maybe a micro wave would be a plus but not essential…..

The location is great, plenty of parking space, the hotel itself is located in a beautiful Victorian house. I was overwhelmed with the amenities in our room, but to mention a few: tea, coffee, milk cream, bottled water, crackers, a selection of shower gels and shampoos... The room was equipped with a fridge and had a separate warderobe room. It was perfectly quiet at night. The internet is fast, the breakfast was delicious, including a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Yana, the Manager, is super friendly. We loved the stay and would recommend it literally to everyone!!! Thank you Yana!

The Toorak Manor Hotel has a charming vintage style and is well-equipped with essential facilities, although there is no kitchen. The rooms are clean and neatly organized, making it ideal for solo travelers and couples. While it’s not far from the CBD, it’s conveniently close to local spots like restaurants and cafes. This hotel offers a cozy, comfortable stay with everything you need for a pleasant experience. If you prefer a quieter, less crowded area, Toorak Manor is a great choice.

It’s located a bit farther from the CBD, so reaching the city center requires a short walk to the nearest train or bus stop.

The room was small but adequate. The bathroom was old but clean. The bed was a bit soft but the linen was good and I slept like a log. Aircon was good. It was very quiet. Free carparking is a bonus. The adjacent train station would be very handy, a quick trip into the city. The manager was absolutely wonderful. I checked out at 10 AM, then stayed all day as I had a late meeting. I worked in the dining room. She was very hospitable and even brought me yogurt and biscuits for lunch and offered me tea! I listened to her talking to guests on the phone and she was helpful and accommodating to everyone. I really felt looked after and I will definitely return. This hotel is very comfortable and great value for money.

Nothing. It was great. I am very appreciative of the hospitality.

I liked the fact it was just 7 minutes walk to a major supermarket, fruit shop/delicatessen, an upmarket deli -- where you can stock up on food. There are also coffee shops where you can have breakfast and more! If you head the opposite direction and cut across the back streets (it's a posh suburb, so you're safe), it's 11 minutes walk. Two major supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and hair salons are there. If you're into walking, head to Chapel Street and hit the Prahran (pronounced - PURR-RAN) Markets. It's roughly 20 minutes walk. The Manor is ideal for solo travellers. Host and owner Yana goes above and beyond for guests to feel at home.

My only gripe was the traffic noise as my room was facing the front, however, if you travel with earplugs, they cancel it out and you can sleep well.

Yana and the team were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and tidy in a beautifully quaint Victorian era style. The bed was luxuriously comfortable and the bathroom a great size. The location is just a 2 minute walk from the Hawksburn Train Station making it great if you want to stay away from the city. The breakfast was simple self-serve toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee, and muffins. Perfect if you're staying and don't want to think about breakfast over the duration of your stay. We absolutely loved the Toorak Manor Hotel and will definitely be looking to stay there again.

There was nothing to be faulted at the Toorak Manor Hotel.

The location suited us perfectly, as we travelled into city to see show and have dinner. The return trip to hotel was simple and the location of hotel was very quiet and a lovely old world charm, The room was spacious and well supported with additional chairs, large TV and good bathroom.

The parking of the car was good and safe, however trying to access the front door was cumbersome. A car was parked in the correct spot, but this gave us inadequate access because of luggage and small bushes. Coupled with it raining, making the shortcut over the lawn, very wet and difficult. A bit of a let down was that we are seasoned overseas travellers and all hotels overseas usually supply lovely fresh bread in the breakfast rooms, not frozen bread ready for toasting. Also you need to close the bathroom door as during the night the perimeter lights seep into the room. Apart from these minor problems a lovely place to stay.
