The Como has a good “feel” and is located in a vibrant area with an excellent cafe around the corner, Maker. Como staff are skilled and friendly - couldn’t be better. The room, a Junior Suite, was special, large with a study and spacious lounge which opened up, through two french windows, onto a garden.

The in-room dining food quality and cooking was very average. They need a better chef.

Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff.

Cleaning not to highest standard, understaffed, had to consistently request sugar and coffee in room to be replenished. Rooms are looking quite old and tired. Bathtub discoloured and stained. Shower was in bathtub with very high sides. Not suitable for elderly people. Had to request room with walk in shower for my mother. Floor tiles dangerously slippery in bathrooms. Almost no drawer storage in room, had to keep my clothes in my suitcase. Can’t open windows in the room and had to keep curtains closed day and night as other rooms looked directly in to the bed which made it feel very claustrophobic.

As first visit to Melbourne everything was brilliant , hotel , staff, location. Our family recommended the hotel as they also were staying there. Four couples in all and it was amazing. We had a wedding in Camberwell so very convenient for us. I would personally like to mention a very happy, warm staff member who attended our room and looked after us with out exception.........Marisol......a lovely Chilean lady, I hope that I have spelt her name correctly. Beautiful.

The shortnest of our stay, would have enjoyed a month there. !!

First time staying at the Como, it was great. Lovely rooms, so much more than I expected. Staff were lovely, parking is convenient although it's good to keep in mind that parking at the location is limited and outside, essentially a first in best dressed. Wish I'd had the time to enjoy the restaurant and the other facilities such as the pool and gym.

The parking situation is a sticking point personally. Limited space available onsite, it's outside, and close to $50 a night, some parks are not suitable for larger vehicles (I drive a HiLux). Alternative parking is a public parking lot thats just down the road, it too is a bit expensive and I personally don't like the idea of leaving my vehicle there. But each to their own preference.

room was a great size, very clean, had a decent-sized tub, and the shower pressure was amazing. We loved that the TV swivelled to the bed.

the shower leaked water onto the floor a bit which could be a little dangerous. the chromecast feature wasn't working at all on the TV. It would be great if there were more details about the bathroom on the listing for the room when booking, the main reason we picked the como in south yarra rather than going into the city was for the bath.

Room and location was great, swimming pool was most helpful and the kids enjoyed. The nearby restaurants, tram stops and railway station was most helpful. Location, Location, location.

Room airconditioner was not working properly on the floor we were on for the first two nights, Speaking to other guests on the floor they had the same issue. Staff tried to help with additional fans for the bedrooms. Airconditioner for the floor finally fixed on the 3rd day

The cleanliness and the quiet relaxing atmosphere. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The security. I felt safe in terms of security. It's great to know I can sleep peacefully in my room.

The lighting in the rooms. felt very dull and gloomy for me. Maybe some places can have a brighter or dimmable light options to fit the guests. That was the only thing that made me regret my stay there.

Location was great and walking distance to lots of restaurants & retail shops. JAM FACTORY is close by too but was like a ghost town... Loved our spacious 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets, 3 tvs in the apartment was great for our kids, staff were so welcoming on arrival and friendly, cute breakfast restaurant, loved the sauna and pool was nicely heated.

The broken tiles near the pool ladder which my kids almost cut themselves with, very dangerous. Broken pieces fell into the pool and only noticed when we had stepped on them and luckily didn't cut our feet. Only option for movie access was paying $15.95 per movie or $35.95 for unlimited movies for 24hrs on the tv in the apartment. At our other hotel staycations, hotels have apps on their tv's like Netflix, Disney etc that you can login to and watch at no additional cost.

The front desk staff were really friendly to my daughter and myself. Exceptionally so, especially given they were working over Christmas

Unclear if parking was available as you can’t reserve a spot. However, it didn’t cause any inconvenience during my stay. While the cleaning staff did a good job, we didn’t receive fresh hand towels during our stay, despite specifically asking for some
