We stayed at District Apartments South Yarra for 6 nights over Christmas 2022. The staff at reception were extremely welcoming, friendly, and professional. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything we would ever need in such a brilliant and safe location - train station and tram stops only moments away, brilliant cafes and patisseries mere metres away. There were an abundance of restaurants, bottle shops, the IGA...simply fabulous. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks to all staff at District Apartments for making our long overdue Melbourne visit awesome!!

The apartment was very spacious and the location was fantastic for our needs. nice and central and easy to get to. The car park nearby was also helpful.

The room had some damage, I.e. the top bunk safety bar was broken so my daughter couldn’t sleep there. We didn’t complain as it wasn’t a major issue but I can see how that could have been dangerous for others. When it rained one of the rooms had an overwhelming mould smell. We complained but we were told it was just a new hotel and to expect that. We had to wait over an hour to get into our room. When we asked how long it would take we kept getting told 15minutes. Just a heads up that we had an hour to wait would have allowed us to head somewhere and get some food etc.

The rooms are well appointed and the beds are really comfy. Such a great location as there are lots of shops and eateries right next door. Really lovely to be able to walk in the Botanical Gardens which are a short stroll away.

I find the rooms are a little dark. They have natural light, but it's just the position of the building in the laneway, which means there is a lot of shade.

The place is convenient to my office and transport There many F&B places in close proximity

I was given a room with an overhang TV unit which impedes my access to the bathroom Resulting in my injuring my forehead each time I use the bathroom I am rather disappointed they do not provide a room safe There were patches of damages to the walls which needs to be attended to

I probably won't stay again, only due to how you access the door. I had to download an app first, then get the code. I had to have Bluetooth on and my location. I was worried the whole time that my phone would die and I wouldn't be able to get in. I had to turn my phone off while I was out to ensure my phone battery didn't die. It was really stressful that night because I knew we would be getting in really late.

Didn't like the way to get into the room as mentioned above. Having to down load an app, then needing both the Bluetooth and location on then waiting for it to work to open it, I would not stay again because of this. I was worried the whole time my phone battery would die and I wouldn't be able to get in.

Location was great and rooms and bed comfortable

Would be great to have a suit case stand, when you only come for a couple of nights you like to just have your case accessible. If not then better storage for clothing, there was a basket/drawer stand in room but only 1 basket in it at the bottom ( rest of basket missing!

Temperature room control. It was still hot & stuffy no matter what we did - even turning off the air-conditioning and having the window open. Also, the outside noise - trucks, banging etc - in the middle of the night & early morning kept interrupting our sleep

Great location ie. easy walk to the MCG and returned by train with the station only a few minutes away. Room was as pictured from website, modern and spacious..

Not being able to park onsite, website did not state that there were restrictions on vehicle size eg. length, weight for the car elevator. Only found this out after booking was confirmed. After advising my vehicle details was notified Commodore (sedan) exceeded their limits. Note: Alternate parking options were offered.

One bedroom apartment. Spacious,. big screen TV facing balcony. Could sit outside and watch TV. Fittings were in good condition. Entry is private

The toilet was far away from the bed. - at the other end of the apartment. Good for couples who want privacy. Poor for single guy who gets up out of bed to pee frequently.

Friendly front desk staff. Great location in south yarra on side street, right above two birds one stone. Apartment was spacious with everything we needed. Car park in basement was extremely convenient. Make sure you pre book or ask for a spot on arrival (extra fee). Mobile phone app to access building and room was great! No physical card or key needed.

More regular housekeeping /service. We stayed for 6 nights and only had 1 service included.
