I loved staying here. Visiting Salzburg was very impromptu so I only booked for one night before moving on to Vienna. I wish I had stayed another night at the very least, and the Guest House was a big reason for this. It’s a stunning place. Huge rooms, a very nice fresh breakfast with, I believe, fresh and local ingredients. A nice chapel which overlooks the church. Very helpful staff with clear instructions as to what to do if you arrive out of hours. Thank you all.

I think having some king of manual as to what is at the Guest House (such as the chapel, some background in to the church, its history etc) would be great. But it’s only because I was so impressed did I want to know more and see what else was available for its residents.

Lovely, clean, well appointed, spacious rooms. We had two different rooms during our stay and both were delightful. This is a modernised old building. It is not the most suitable for those wanting a party atmosphere. As it’s name suggests, it is the guest house for the seminary. it therefore operates a quiet period from 9.00 p.m. until the next morning. This is ideal for those who want to retreat into a silent space after the bustle of the city. There is a beautiful church, and a guest chapel, available for prayer and reflection. The courtyard in the centre of the building has cloister and a little fountain . I felt my blood pressure dropped the minute I entered this space. A tiny roof terrace with chairs and table for two or three people up on the third floor offers a view over the city and a peaceful, sunny space. There is even a guest library and a very useful guest app. There is also a laundry and a lounge /guest kitchen for those who would like to self cater. Our second room had a tiny kitchenette facility, including two electric rings, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, kitchen sink and enough crockery and pans to cook a hot meal, had we wanted to. we believecould not our luck! Reception staff are on hand during the day and are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, typically Austrian, and very nice. Perhaps the coffee from the coffee machine could do with a little improvement, but that is my only small issue. Salzburg is a city full of church bells, including the clock chimes at the guest house. We woke and was summoned to bed by the sound of bells.

The guesthouse overlooks a street of restaurants and Cafes, with fountains and a wonderful atmosphere. Mostly, the noise subsides by midnight. It’s so happened that we stayed on the weekend of the Saint Rupert festival and so there was a party atmosphere which went on on the Saturday night. Sunday was completely silent! The hotel makes guests aware of this. Our first room did not overlook this street, and was therefore quieter. The windows are double glazed. Once closed, it is lovely and quiet. I would definitely stay here again, we felt so at home.

Guest house is in a very nice location. You can easily walk by foot from the Central Train Station and it took me less than 15 mins. Room was well equipped - comfy bed, wardrobe for clothes, shower amenities and hair dryer - all what I needed for my trip! Basic, but nice breakfast is available on spot and helps to start the day. What was very nice is that I could pick up the key past reception time and check-in after 18:00 o'clock. There is a key box and the code is sent by staff several hours before check-in time (you still need to let them know that you can't arrive at check-in time!!)

There was a small street festival just below my window. The music was playing thought only during day time, so this wasn't a big problem. Also, the room had ear plugs that I could use if I would like to rest during the festival time.

Lovely accomodation in an excellent location. Minutes from both the old town and Mirabell Palace and Gardens. Bus stops nearby for easy connections from the train station to the property and for day trips. The accomodation is great value for money. Plentiful breakfast with plenty seating available, including some tables in the courtyard. I found it very quiet despite the central location, as the rooms had double glazed windows. The staff were lovely and friendly. My room was very spacious and along with everywhere in the property, was spotlessly clean. I would definately stay here again on any future trips.

I loved the location - took me 15-20 minutes to walk from train station. Breakfast was exceptional; meats, cheese, espresso, etc., and delicious homemade breads. The room was clean and mattress was comfy. WIFI was included. Also a small "community room" is available, plus a chapel if you care to pray.

Check-in hours are limited to 8-4 daily, late check ins require a special code, so I made sure to check in before my 2:00 pm tour. No AC - if you use this hotel during summer, DONT leave window open at night. The street noise kept me from a good nights rest my first night. 2nd night I wised up and closed the windows - no noise, but slightly warm in the room. I did run the fan which was provided. I would stay again, just not in summer during a heat wave. Also smoking is allowed in courtyard and outside breakfast tables, so with my asthma - I couldn't eat outside - but this is true of Austria in general.

What a beautiful, magical place! There are not enough good words in the world to describe how beautiful and perfect this hotel was. From the moment you unlock the big wooden front door, you are transported into a truly special place. I could have spent hours in the courtyard just listening to the fountain! The rooms were modestly appointed but had everything you would need, the bed was comfortable, and the towel warmer in the bathroom was a special touch. The church attached to the hotel is beautiful and a great place to stop in at night for a moment of peace. My favorite part though? Their homemade marmalades and bread for breakfast (and the jammy soft boiled eggs!!) The nectarine marmalade was like eating happiness and sunshine! Location couldn’t be more perfect - short walk from Schloss Mirabell and the old town. I will stay here again next time I’m in Salzburg!

The location, right in the heart of the old city, could not be better. A beautiful park in front to sit and enjoy the architecture. Five minutes walk to the fabulous Mirabel Gardens, and the palace where I enjoyed a concert of Mozart's music in the Marble hall. The reviews of the breakfast, which had swayed my booking, proved to be 100% accurate. It could not have been better. The room was perfect, clean, and extremely comfortable, and more like in an expensive hotel than a guest house. I particularly liked the way modern fittings and equipment had been integrated into the original centuries-old building.

Nothing!

The Priest seminarium is a seriously best location one can find. Close to the town center . You can take a bus at the Makartplatz anytime for no waiting time at all. If you want to go to the Untersberg and the most breathtaking view from a mountain 1806meters above the sea level you really need to find a place that is central. Buy a Salzburg card that will give you great value too. Plan your trip thoroughly before you go or just listen to other experienced people.

Well, all things considered, no TV would not even be a problem. That will make you focus on your trip. I don't understand German language anyway. There is no English channel as far as I know.

My stay was in a single room equipped with a private bathroom, situated in an excellent location that allowed for easy exploration of the surrounding area on foot. The room itself was not only comfortable and clean but also well-appointed with essential cleaning products. An added convenience was the inclusion of a kettle and a selection of herbal teas, which I found to be a thoughtful touch. The breakfast offered was notably diverse, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. Additionally, the staff's friendliness and willingness to assist contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere of the accommodation.

This is a charming place to stay. The rooms must be three metres high, nicely fitted out, lots of hot water and towels and (blessings!) a kettle and teabags! A comfortable single bed. No television (good!) but good wi-fi. The large courtyard is delightful and the (included) breakfast - which one can eat out in the cloister - is outstanding at this price. The whole place has character and calm. It is decently central - just over the bridge from the the Dom, and virtually next door to Mozart's house and the pleasant Mirabelle palace and gardens. About fifteen minutes walk from Central Station, a bit of a trudge but easy to find.

Could it be a bit noisy on a Friday or Saturday night? My room overlooked a bar, and I was slightly conscious of that. But the big windows have secondary glazing against noise.
