The location is quite convenient, a 15min walk to the old Town and tourist sights; close to many dining options and shopping. Renee at the reception is particularly helpful and conscientious of our needs. He gave useful advice on how to park optimally and saved us some money on having to park in the commercial parking garage. He also read my requests and put our rooms next to each other. Friendly and full of smiles. Appreciate the fruit bowl in the reception area plus welcome sweets in the room. The hotel ambience and the furniture in the room gives an old charm feel -the wardrobe, writing table and chair takes you back to an older era. The radio is also quite an antique and it works! For the price, I must say the hotel did exceed my expectations in terms of hospitality.
The toilet does not have a window nor ventilator. The smell from after a big job doesn't dissipate easily but wafts into the room. The toilet light takes a while to come on, perhaps the contact is loose.

The property was within a few minutes (no more than 10; walking) from the train station. Very well situated! Within walking distance to the Old City, restaurants, shopping, and more. The staff was incredibly helpful with insightful tips on city gems. They were very polite, professional, and welcoming! The Manager recommended a few places to us including the one of a kind Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays; just literally across the street from the hotel; and one you do not want to miss. There is also a small cafe called Richie’s; right next to it; the owner was very kind and his fair trade coffee; really good! There is also an Italian restaurant and Bakery across the street from it. Overall; the place was incredibly quiet at night; with excellent location and very safe to walk around. We will DEFINITELY be back! Hopefully soon! Note: Not a bad thing at all and we were ok, but if you are taller than 6’0 feet or 1.80 meters and on the heavier side or have a wider back than most; you may want to ask about their shower size options. My boyfriend is very tall and muscular and the shower was just a bit of a squeeze.

It is a nostalgic kind of hotel. And i love nostalgia. There was an old fashioned bedside radio on the wall and it was still working! The staff was very helpful and sincere. I am grateful for their responses. Common areas and rooms are clean and smell really good. Its location is on walking distance to the center and touristic attractions. The rooms are not noisy. If you do not have much luxurious expectations and love humbleness, this hotel meets the expectations.
They had enough soap, shampoo, necessity kit etc. But, we could not find slippers. Didn't mind to ask, however; since we had brought our own pairs with us.

We loved the little radio unit that was attached on the wall of our room. Also we appreciate that there were free Haribo gummies on our bed when we checked in!! The hotel had a rustic charm and was really lovely especially the staff! All of them were so nice and helpful. The hotel was located very decently and convenient as we did some Panorama tours and the bus stop for that was really close by. There’s a really good wurst stand nearby which was recommended to us by the reception, it’s called Matt’s!! It opens 7pm to 1am, really awesome recommendation. Also, the hotel keys were cool and added to the personality of the hotel.
On our first night, the light in our bathroom stopped working so we had to wait till 8am next morning for it to be fixed. The staff were very attentive to get it fixed for us to make sure our stay was comfortable. The rooms felt a bit outdated but it all added to the rustic charm the hotel had. There was a light smell coming from the toilet. We tried to flush some liquid soap but it was still there.

We liked the size of the room, the view from our window, the area especially being close to the train station (about 10 min walk). Everyone in the reception was very professional and nice while we enjoyed meeting Mr. Rene who was something else. He gave us tips, important information and mostly he is a great interlocutor. A big asset! The breakfast was satisfactory with omelette, eggs, sausages, cold cuts, fruit, yogurt, jams, pate, other spreads, teas, coffee machine, juices, etc.
We didn't like that there wasn't a tea/coffee kettle in the room. Although the bathroom was ok, we had problems with the toilette basin which it was oddly reversed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and couldn’t recommend the place more! The hotel staff were exceptional. Very friendly, welcoming, professional and insightful. It’s by far the best service we’ve had in Europe thus far. We really appreciated the helpful tips and advice. A big shout out to Renee in particular! (excuse the spelling if inaccurate). The location is great as all the main highlights are within 20mins walking distance and the train station and bus stops can be reached within 10mins walk. Some may say the rooms are ‘dated’ but I personally felt like it had an old character charm which was befitting of the city of Salzburg. The room was clean and there was a daily cleaning service. The listing is accurate with no hidden details so you just have to make sure you read it thoroughly before booking to make sure it is suitable to your requirements. It was perfect for us (a couple) for 4 nights. We felt like it was great value and we’d stay here again in a heart beat!

Overall, the location is great- in a quiet neighborhood with many restaurants walkable and easy access to the Old Town. The front desk staff was always very kind and friendly. Check-in was easy. Rooms are small, but comfortable!
Overall, I found the facilities/amenities to be underwhelming. The building is old, and has not really been updated. The keys and huge and heavy and are left at the front desk as you come and go. Some may find this charming, but as a solo traveler it reduced my feelings of security. My main complaint was no coffee or tea making facilities in room, or even in the lobby. It has been a long time since I’ve been to a hotel that didn’t offer either a coffee machine or kettle. I had to walk next door in the morning for coffee. The front desk did offer to boil water for me in the evening, but it’s not the same. They did tell me this will change in the future..so hopefully that is true!

This is a lovely quiet and comfortable hotel with the best staff we have ever met at a hotel reception desk. Sasha, Hannes and René were fabulous. They were extremely friendly and welcoming and always happy to have a chat. They were also highly entertaining and comical! They made our stay memorable. Everything you need is provided in the hotel room. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of food and plenty of choice and care taken to display allergen guidance. This hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and a great location for exploring Salzburg on foot. The old town is only 10 minutes away and Mirabell Gardens are just a few minutes away.

It is an old hotel with traditional values. Room was an economy room so it was small but it was adequate. Had mini bar. For our requirements it was good. Hotel recommendation to eat at “Pasta and Vino right around the corner (about half a block away) was terrific. Home made pasta and reasonable prices for Salzburg. 10 minute walk from Hauptbahnhof. Would stat again, but not if it was hot out.
The outer door floor to your room, has some sort of strip, which you need to be aware of when entering the room, lest, you trip when entering the room. Room had indoor outdoor carpet.

Very friendly and helpful staff, always greeted with a smile. Clean and quiet room. Good location. Good closet space. Very good restaurants nearby, especially Pasta & Vino.
Using the shower over the bath was a hassle - difficult to get into, not the best positioning of showerhead, and it took a few days to figure out how to shower without partially flooding the floor. Room was a bit cramped, and lighting could be improved. All minor niggles, in an otherwise excellent stay.
