Location: In terms of location, Hotel Modus is very well located. The main train station is only 15 minutes walking distance and 15-20 min walk to the main attractions in Salzburg. Room & services: Clean and beautiful small rooms. Good service though you need to call if there is any problem. I got problem with the key card and didn’t get help on whatsapp. The parking spaces are in front of the rooms. The lobby can be reached 24/7 with a number code on the door. Snack machine and luggage storage is also available. Free rental bicycles and umbrellas. Breakfast: Not sure if you can have breakfast in the hotel. However they have good restaurants at walking distance.

- Rooms on ground floor may have privacy issues, as during summer no AC so you need to open the windows and anyone can see inside. Hard to sleep without window open in night. - No air-conditioning, rooms are really hot especially in summer. - Avoid top floors if you’re tall, as the they had a sloping ceiling. One need to bend to walk in room or you may accidentally bang your head. - the missing shower partition (which inevitably floods the bathroom)  After closing the door, use the key to lock the door from the inside.

Excellent location, accessible and organized paid parking in the facilities (which was a pain in other hotels), the room was cozy, comfortable and had a nice bath. They have binder with info and recommendations regarding the hotel and your stay in Salzburg. The lounge area is also very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked if we could leave the car parked there for a couple more hours after check-out and they kindly agreed to help. The place generally gave us the feeling they have thought of many things.

Going to the bathroom could be somewhat uncomfortable as noises are not well isolated. But, there's the lounge bathroom which is right next to the room and is very clean and comfortable.

Spotless and modern room with shared kitchen which was kept clean and well maintained. Well located a few minutes walk from the station in one direction and a few minutes from Mirabel Gardens in the other (where many buses and tours start). Bus 21 stops on street outside if you don't want to walk into Salzburg centre. All the things in the room worked properly with an excellent (silent) ceiling fan and a TV with channels in English. There was one armchair and one other chair. Overall we liked this place - a good option if you are travelling light (maybe less good if you have a lot of luggage).

The room doesn't have a fridge, so you need to go to the kitchen each time. "Partly with terrace" means that there is seating outside 5 rooms. If yours isn't one of them, you have to pick a set of seats beneath someone's window. You can guess whether they are in or not by whether the blinds are down. There is a little bit of traffic noise, but it's not too bad.

Nice rooms and nice terrace in the common area. We liked the 24 h automated reception with kitchen (no stove) for coffee and vending machine with snacks and drinks. The staff was very nice and helpfull. Parking in the common courtyard. Close to centre. Very clean rooms.

No AC. We got some hot days in Salzburg and it was so hot during the night that we couldn't rest properly. Being a open terrace, ground floor we couldn't sleep with the window wide open, just somehiw cracked open, this made the things bad in terms of the heat. Related to the above, the hotel is close to a circulatated street. On the semi open window we heaed all night long ambulances and the garbage truck woke us at 07:00. This hotel needs AC, otherwise is ok.

A perfect spot to crash after wandering around the city. The room was tiny, as expected, but it was perfect for us. We were lucky enough to get a room on the second floor. There was a ceiling fan which made the room super comfortable on a warm spring day. We also appreciated the complementary umbrellas for wandering in the rain. 20 minute walk to get anywhere in the city can't be beat!

I wish we were each provided a set of towels, instead of 1 set between the two of us. The 10 fee for additional towels seemed pretty steep. Glad we had a short stay and made do with what we had!

Great location. Easy walk from railway station. Great lounge area to buy snacks, beer also coffee machine and microwave,toaster etc. Room spacious, clean and well equipped. Good bathroom facilities. The ceiling fan was a big plus in the heat. Nice area to sit out on terrace. Excellent support from staff via WhatsApp as none on site but easy check in and out. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Salzburg.

Property is very to th railway station so hardly 10 mins alking distance. Clear check-in instructions are provided well in advance so hassle free checkin. Care taker are very resonsive over the phone so for any issues drop a text. 10/10 for cleaniness and hygine, it honestly felt like sleeping in my home bed very comfy. Spacious reception area to enjoy your tea/coffee in thw morning.

The most disoppointing part: I was asked to pay 7 euros after checking-in for some local city charge which in itself is not a problem but I would have appreciated being informed in advance. We were charged 2.90 just to withdraw 7 euros. I have never paid this anywhere else staying in Austria so not really sure what this was for and why it has to be paid in cash. Secondly, the room are quite small than what I expected looking at pictures.

Small, modern, all self service checking and check out (which is not my thing usually). In close enough distance to all you want to see in Salzburg.

Well, I did reserve the hotel because of the parking provided on site. But only after it was impossible to cancel, we have learned that in fact, parking will not be available (there was construction happening), that there is plenty of parking options on the street and near by. Well, we have gotten one parking ticket, while unloading the car and the second one next morning, with the bought parking ticket displayed behind the window. We still do not understand this one. So be aware, Salzburg is too trigger-happy to fine you for your visit.

Location is great. Very close to station. Room we had was only small, but had everything you need. Well equipped lounge area had extras like a microwave and plates and utensils if you want to make a simple meal. Very quiet overnight.

It was hot when we stayed and there is no AC, so the room was very hot. There is a ceiling fan so we had that running all night and that was mostly effective.

Great location. Good value for money. Easy to find and to access room.

Local tax added later. Expect when booking on booking.com to pay everything. Check out 10am, but staff knocked on door 9.40am. Shouldn't knock until 10am. The light on wall sticks out and as beds narrow kept knocking it during the night.
