Room was noisy from motor vehicle, tram noise quite late into the night. Room had paper thin walls, so could hear next door neighbours talking with raised voices after a night out. I knocked their door and advised of thin walls. They took note and it was quiet thereafter.

There isn't a small fridge or a kettle in the room. Especially kettle should be no question in this price range. Our mattress was two one-person mattresses put side by side in a double bed frame. As our son was sleeping with us, it wasn't very comfortable. Rooms have very old furniture.

The hotel staff were lovely and kind during my stay - check in and check out was a breeze. Returning my key each time I left was new for me, but it was quite lovely and super easy. Breakfast was fabulous with a good variety of food (for different cultures and dietary restrictions) and tasty coffee. I had a single room which was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location of the hotel is amazing as you're so close to the U, the city center, and you have grocery stores on either side of the hotel (when you're facing the front door). There's also a very quick walk to a BIPA as well. I would definitely stay in this charming hotel again in the future.

Everything. Spotless, good size room and bath and shower. Breakfast selection. Air con in room, needed at the moment. Decent sized telly with BBC News and CNN and other English speaking channels. Location in city, less than 5 mins walk from station with bus, tram and metro. Drinking water fountain in lobby, good start to the day. All staff very friendly.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Am observation though. The landing lights were constantly on. Not necessary as all had ample natural light.

Most central location. Tourist attractions, public transport and nightlife all nearby. Couldn't get much better than that. The hotel is old-fashioned in the best sense - a place with a historic feel. Mostly quiet: the street noise won't get in, but sounds from adjacent rooms travel through air vents. Air conditioning is powerful but blows straight into bed which may be disturbing. Breakfast was abundant and tasty. People at the desk were friendly and helpful. Overall, a very recommendable experience.

The hotel has no bar or restaurant (apart from the breakfast hall). Apparently, all facilities are available at Stefanie next door (same owner) but no information was provided about that, other than some fine print in the room dossier.

This is our second time at the Hotel City Central. The staff at the Reception Area were very friendly and nice. Thomas helped us book a tour with pick up from the hotel. The room was a little small, but was comfortable. It was also clean. We love the breakfast there too. The coffee is very good, and there is a good range of teas to choose from for tea lovers. We hope to book again this hotel if we visit Vienna again!

There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The room was a little small. The elevator is a little slow too.

The breakfast was wonderful, with a lot of variety and choice. I have difficulty sleeping with certain pillows and Daniela went out of her way to source me a firm, neck pillow which for me makes a HUGE difference, so a huge thank you to Daniela for doing her best. The location is also brilliant, just a short walk over the river and you're in the very center of Vienna. The other reception staff were also extremely helpful and polite and very friendly. They happily took my luggage both before check-in and after check-out with zero problems.

There genuinely wasn't anything that could have made my stay better! Despite the age of the hotel, they've done really well to ensure that it's modernized and convenient whilst retaining the old features.

Hotel's location is great--very close to the center (15-18 min walking distance), within 7-10 min of a major metro station (stephanplatz) and also a bus that goes to the airport (Vienna Airport Lines2 or VAL2, which is cheaper than train and direct transfer with no stops in between!). Hotel serves excellent breakfast with several ingredients offered being organic. A wide choice of vegetables, cheeses, meats, fruits, etc. Coffee is machine made. Wide variety of breads.

Noise carries through the walls and doors very easily. Since I'm a light sleeper, anybody coming in late at night (or in early morning hours) back to the room and locking/unlocking doors, it felt as is somebody was tinkering with my room door--that's how easily noise travels. But location and price is so good, I can "swallow" noise inconvenience! ;0)

I was really impressed. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Everything is very clean there. I got the room on the 5th floor with beautiful view outside. I really appreciate breakfasts. Everyone would be satisfied. Hotel is easy to get because of its perfect localisation. It is situated just near Schwedenplatz and you need 10 minutes walk to get to the cathedral. 10 points for very helpful and nice staff.

The kettles in the room would be a nice idea. But to be honest I read there is a possibility to borrow them at the reception. The furniture is old fashioned but I really like it. It refers to old Vienna's atmosphere.

The location of the hotel is super great, it’s super easy to get to the city centre and the majority of popular attractions, lots of shops, cafes are also nearby. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful :) The room was clean. I also liked breakfast, it may seem to be not very diverse if you stay more than 3 nights, but it was quite good and delicious for a short term stay (especially, I liked the selection of fruits, like watermelon, pineapple, melon, and super tasty bread).

The rooms furniture seemed to be quite old, the wardrobe even had some specific smell :( I would also wish the room to be a little bit bigger. Slippers and at least a bottle of water would be also nice to be available for the guests.
