Hotel Post is a comfortable place to stay in Vienna and is very conveniently situated. It is about 2 minutes walk from the Schwedenplatz with its underground and tram connections, and within walking distance of many of the main sights in Vienna, for instance St. Stephans Cathedral, the Hundertwasser Haus and Village, and the Stadtpark. Many museums as well as the Schloss Schönbrunn and Opera Houses are easily reached using the very efficient trains or trams. Our room was spacious, and breakfast was good with a range of options and unlimited coffee. For us as a couple travelling by train it was a very good choice, and we would happily stay there again

The view from our window was of offices on the opposite side of a street. Not too exciting, but more than compensated for by the positive aspects of the hotel. In any case there is so much to see and do in Vienna that we hardly spent any time in the room during the daytime.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Post Wien Vienna! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Vienna’s main attractions on foot. The room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and provided a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. First of all, the staff. People were friendly and helpful. All the information regarding the hotel and stay were provided in clear and concise manner by the reception. Danial was particularly helpful. I also needed alarm call and early checkout, and everything was straightforward

There was some confusion regarding parking spot. It is not included in the price, but you pay extra and need to park the car yourself in the garage nearby. That is not the problem, but it would be good for the hotel to clarify this upfront, so to avoid angry guests. As I said, for me the staying was perfect, solid 10

Great location, very close to the city centre and transport. Spacious room, old fashioned decor, but clean and comfortable. We were also allowed to check in early and that was much appreciated! The breakfast buffet was nice and fresh with very tasty scrambled eggs and a choice of cakes.

I had chosen to pay for my room at the property. However the hotel “tested” my credit card by reserving the entire amount the day before arrival and without previous warning. I can understand that the hotel can take an authorisation on the card but not for the whole amount. I effectively payed for the room in advance and that is not the condition I booked under! This is a bad policy and something I would warn other guests about!

Great location, only a few minutes walk from the Underground station Schwedenplatz and just one stop from there to the fast airport train. Close to city centre shopping and major sights. Easy access to trams and river cruise (in season). My room was clean, warm, comfortable bed. Spotless bathroom, hot, decent pressure shower. Pleasant dining room with great breakfast selection, served till 11am. Very quiet room, no noise at night. Hotel has a bar, but I didn’t use it.

I’d have liked a kettle in my room.

Very good location, close to many central places, but still off the beaten track. Parking possibility (24EUR/day) at a nearby garage (narrow places!). Good, tasty breakfast (excellent cappuccino!), but the room is somewhat overcrowded around 9-10h. We had a high, quite spacious room on the 4th floor, with wooden floor. Air condition table in the room was very easy to manage.

Extra 20EUR deposit was demanded for the parking garage card, which is in principle OK, but we did not know that in advance and did not get any receipt about it. (At check-out the money was properly returned.)

We got a spacious room with bathtub. The room was equipped with double windows, so there was no significant noise from the street. There was a television and one bottle of water offered to welcome us. The breakfast was satisfying. The best thing about the hotel though was its location. Right next to the subway, and the high streets of the city center.

An iron is available but only in a specific time window (8am - 4pm), which is not convenient at all if you travel for work purposes.

Room was spacious - very high ceilings, spotlessly clean, quiet - we slept very well, super comfy bed, with air conditioning which was very welcome as Vienna was very hot at 30 degrees! Fabulous location near public transport links and walkable to sites in city centre. Breakfast was buffet style with great choice of options.

Not sure what to say here as hotel was just what we needed for a short stay in Vienna. Hotel is perhaps not as modern or as up to date as some others but it ticked a lot of boxes and we would stay here again.

Reception staff were all lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was good. Beds very comfortable. Air-con excellent and definitely needed. Location was excellent, more ‘local’ type bars and restaurants very nearby but easy access to the main tourist areas by foot in only a few minutes.

Most of the large towels had marks on them including nail varnish and possibly mascara. Shower temperature was inconsistent in the morning. The bottle of water in the room was very welcome, it would have been good to have this replaced during our stay.

The hotel is situated only 5 min. from the city center and 1 min. from Schwedenplatz metro station. If you are traveling by train, this is a great location. The breakfast is sufficient and the selection of sweet pastries, including pancakes, was a pleasant surprise. The coffee for breakfast was also of good quality. Given the heat, we also appreciated the very well-functioning air conditioning in the room.

It would be great if there was kettle and especially a fridge in the room equipment.
