Friendly and helpful staff; enjoyable appearance of public areas. Nice bathrooms.. Good breakfast. Very comfortable beds!

Gym is useless as the very limited number of (3) machines are situated in between the pool and sauna; impossible to use for workout also due to the resulting room temp. Regrettably there’s a large construction/ renovation site right next to the hotel and the appearance of the Plaza is currently not appealing!

The square the hotel is located at, is beautiful. Beware that some construction work is going on next door, which the hotel cannot be faulted for. There wasn't any work done over the weekend, but on Monday it was quite noisy during office hours. This should only be a problem if you're sleeping off a jetlag during the day ;) Hotel staff are very welcoming and professional. Hotel layout and design is really beautiful, quality of materials and art works on display were of the highest standard. Classical hotel with a modern twist and the choice of colours was very soothing. We only stayed 2 nights, but we felt very well taken care of by staff during our stay, loved the consistency in service. Lastly, loved the valet service; good hotels with parking are not abundantly available in Brussels, so please don't change this.

Loved the swimming pool but was slightly confused about house rules; no bathrobes and slippers allowed elsewhere in hotel except wellness area itself. Fine, but once you arrive at the wellness area, there's a sign saying you're not allowed to enter in city attire. Fair of course, but perhaps consider putting a few lockers in the changing room to store outside clothes.

I booked at the very last minute (a few hours before checking in), and the hotel still accommodated my special request for the room, which had every comfort and all the amenities you could ask for. Super high and comfy mattress, high ceilings, generously sized open shower, bathtub overlooking the beautiful Place des Martyrs below, bathroom cabinet with many drawers. Great selection of high-quality foods for breakfast and late breakfast on weekends, perfect for sleepyheads or night owls like me. Very good selection for the all-day dining room service menu, too. Amazingly kind staff, from the reception to the restaurant and bar personnel; the hotel manager even went to several news agents' to try and find a paper copy of The Guardian for me – he couldn't, but it was such a nice gesture that I was almost sorry I'd even asked in the first place! It's also one of the rare hotels in Brussels with a spa and a heated pool, yet another thing that makes it a total gem!

It's more a matter of preference, but the pool water could be warmer (though 28º is very good after the hammam/sauna). The hotel restaurant was closed for reasons I didn't inquire about because there are good restaurants nearby and hot dishes from the room service, but I would've liked to try it... a good reason to come back, I suppose!

The location and the staff were very polite.

After we installed ourselves in our room we went out, when we came back the housekeeping service entered our room and made some changes to our room, which seemed strange to me. Second, after our first night we realised that after cleaning the room did not leave any towels to take a shower, we had to call the reception desk and they promptly brought some towels.

Fantastic location. Excellent food.

Could not sleep due to constant noise from above and workers outside. Room is smaller than my closet. For one additional night they asked for almost double the price. No lamp on the ceiling, just night lights on the bed. Definitely not going there again.

Lovely quiet location and the hotel itself is quiet with very friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing and catered to everyone. Rooms were of a very high standard and we would absolutely stay again.

The only thing was the bar wasn’t manned and they had to bring the man who loads the suitcases to do drinks. Obviously had no idea how to make cocktails or pull a pint. Not his fault at all and he did his best but could be a problem in a busy period. Still it’s such a lovely hotel and such friendly staff ( it’s a family run hotel) that for us it was only a minor thing.). Barman was off sick and for a small hotel there’s not much you can do

The hotel's location is exceptional. Everything is within walking distance yet in a quiet and peaceful place. The room was incredibly clean. The design is extraordinary, antique and modern at the same time. I liked all the small details, nothing has a cheap feeling. Everything you ever need is prepared, such as body lotion, shower gel, hair dryer, shoe polish, coffee maker (and so on). The staff is very helpful and friendly. What surprised me was the cleaning service. They came several times a day and each time the bed was made, we received several bottles of water (sparkling and still) and clean towels.

There were very few and very weak light sources in the room. It was dark at night. An extra spot lamp or floor lamp would have been nice. The shower tap was stuck so it was extra difficult to turn.

Pleasant staff, quiet rooms and comfortable beds. My son really enjoyed his room service waffles.

We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. The first morning housekeeping knocked on both our doors at kl09:00 waking us up. This was not appreciated. I spoke to reception, who told us to put a do not disturb sign on the door...OK, but not what I expect from any hotel. Poor Internet - One evening we were unable to finish a film we started, variable water pressure in the bathrooms, and the pool was unavailable the whole time, which was a shame and a main reason we chose the hotel.

Me and my hubby spent a weekend in this beautiful hotel. We loved it! It is a place of good taste in every detail, reflected in the design of the interior, the nice discreet perfume in all spaces, the welcoming friendly reception personnel, the handwritten welcoming message in the room, the cosy ambiance… I felt really really comfortable. Also the spa was very nice with both dry sauna and hammam.. abd the beautifully crafted pool. Here I’d have something to add , the water was little chill, I would’ve enjoyed warmer water, but after a few swimming rounds, even that was just fine. Also the cocktails, although a bit pricey, they were really tasty. I would definitely recommend this beautiful, all senses pampering hotel, in the heart of Brussels.

All was good. Great location, beautiful building, cozy lobby and nice rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Amazing food in the restaurant and very tasty cocktails!

On the first day of our stay, the hotel restaurant was closed. Parking at the hotel cost 40 euros per night, which is 4 times more expensive than all other parking lots in the city, and considering, it’s a little weird policy for paid parking in a 5-star hotel.
