Absolutely perfect 👌 Easy to find. Just a 5 minute walk to the Menin Gate and 2 minutes to the centre. Excellent secure parking, especially for motorcycles with no gravel, no slopes and no tight turns. Hotel was very clean and spacious with a bar in, although we did not use this. There is a lift so suitable for less able people (as I myself am). Our room had a shower, and again, this was perfect for us. Our room had a mini fridge as well as a kettle with tea and coffee supplies, always good to have for when you get back to your room. Breakfast was served in the very large and bright breakfast room. Everything is thought of as when the sun started to dazzle, the lovely breakfast lady spotted this straight away and lowered a large electric blind. There was a very large selection: cereals, pastries, cold meats and cheese, fruit, yoghurt, and a hot plate with scrambled egg and bacon. Coffee was from a machine with as many refills as required. You could even have breakfast on the terrace if you wished. All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming, offering local information and answering any questions. Overall, we really couldn’t fault this lovely hotel and hope to return one day. Excellent value for money, especially considering where it is located. Thank you all for helping to make our visit to Ypres so memorable.

From arriving to leaving the staff were professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant. We have stayed before and this time we had an upgraded room which in the future we will defo opt for. I have traveled for years and have to say the room had the most powerful shower I have ever encountered = FANTASTIC! One other point there is a private bike/motorbike parking garage - something I have not noticed until this visit. I have to mention the private car-park is easy and security barrier controlled.

Bar prices were high - but probably the City's going rates.

I feel I stumbled onto a precious gem! We had a last minute detour to Ypres and I booked the Albion because of its proximity to the Menin gate. I can’t say enough about the hospitality of this family run hotel. When I think of our short stay in Ypres I may remember chatting with Daphne at the Albion desk and bar as much as our visit to the Flanders Museum just around the corner! Besides the kindness of the owners, our room was modern but with architectural features that honored the past. The high tech skylight looked up on the steeple of the nearby church. The bar was comfortable with great local beers. And be sure to include breakfast! A spread worthy of the cost. Thank you Daphne and the entire family for your hospitality!

Excellent location just minutes from the market square and all the restaurants. Staff were lovely and always smiling. It was a very quiet hotel, great heating (January visit) but also windows that opened well to air the room. We used the car park, just take a ticket at the barrier and then walk into the back of the hotel. They will add on the carparking charges to your room. Will stay here again when we return to Ypres probably in a couple of years. Buffet breakfast had good choices and the tea and coffee was served by another lovely lady who always asked us how we were. Great customer service all round.

Unfortunately one of us had a fall while on holiday, breaking a shoulder, so that we needed some additional assistance when we arrived. The family were extremely helpful and found a suitable room, together with a stool for the shower, thereby making life easier for us. In addition, we had an excellent buffet breakfast and secure parking for our car just behind the hotel.

Really we couldn’t fault anyone or anything on this occasion.

The Albion is the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. It is family run, comfortable and brilliantly located being right in the centre of Ypres with the bonus of an easy to access car park. Our bedroomwas a good size with a good bathroom and a comfortable bed. The breakfast at the hotel was great - a lovely continental with good meat & cheese. The hotel has a friendly well stocked bar. It doesn't have a restaurant but that isn't a problem as there are lots of good restaurants and cafes nearby. If you are planning to visit Ypres and explore the WW1 history in the area I can't recommend the Albion highly enough.

The location was excellent a five minute walk to both the Main Market Square and the Menin Gate, the Continental Breakfast was excellent with the choice of scrambled egg and bacon if you wished. However the continental bacon may not be to everybody’s liking. The staff were welcoming and helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area

The mattress’s in the twin room where a little bit too firm for our liking but apart from that every thing else was excellent

The privately owned Albion Hotel is perfectly located in a quiet street yet only 250 metres from the Grote Markt with its many shops, cafés & brasseries, and just a five minutes walk from the Menin Gate. The hotel's spacious car park at the rear is easy to find and has direct access to the main building. Our room (203) was spacious and comfortable, with a modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet was copious and delicious. Strongly recommended.

Lovely old hotel which had been nicely modernised. Huge very comfortable bedrooms with fridge, TV and kettle. Large well appointed bathroom. Nice bar, excellent breakfast. However, it was the marvellous staff which made the hotel such a wonderful place to stay. Friendly, welcoming and unfailingly helpful this is a hotel we will visit again.

We arrived a little early but the hotel was easy to find and about 5 minutes walk from the main square, the GrosMarkt. The receptionist gave us directions to the hotel car park which was in the street bihind the hotel. very easy to fins and very spacious and clean. when we returned at 2pm our room was ready and we were very pleasantly surprised at how spacious it and the bathroom were. The bathroom was large with a bath and a free standing shower cubicle. Nice quality towels and toiletries.The location could not have been better for visiting the Gros Markt and the Menin Gate. We were given a map of the area and advice about various places we wanted to visit. The breakfast was excellent with cooked as well as continental. They even had apple juice freshly squeezed from local apples. It was plentiful and you served yourself from a delightful buffet in a spacious dining room.

Nothing! the whole place exceeded what we had imagined. I would highly recommend Albion to anyone planning on staying in Ypres.
