We had a bubble room and it was fabulous, huge comfortable bed, great bathroom, jacuzzi, mini fridge, iron and ironing board, tea & coffee facilities, everything you could wish for was there . The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were even given a late checkout to enable us to attend the Armistice Day service at the MeninGate. Thankyou everyone at the hotel, we will definitely return.
There was not one single thing I did not like about this hotel. All the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, food was fabulous, in fact everything was !

Breakfast was delicious with every conceivable option (they even had HP sauce), fresh and regularly topped up. Our room was superb, comfy bed, roomy shower, coffee maker and kettle, fridge and plenty of storage space. Cleaned to a high standard too. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location was quite central, about 10 minutes walk to the center of Ypres. Parking was on site, free and secure. Restaurant had a number of options and we ate there twice, all dishes were tasty and nicely presented; wine list comprehensive.
Perhaps better lighting in the room, reading lights were good but it could be a bit dark with other lighting.

First class! Staff, service and facilities as advertised. Soundproofing was exceptional, even throughout thunderstorms! Staff were most attentive at all times; reception desk, bar, dining and breakfast rooms. You were made to feel special without fuss. Check-in was easy, with a welcome pack and opportunity to opt in or out of housekeeping to be more environmentally responsible. A fridge in the room was very useful, especially as it was very warm during our stay; quiet and effective air-conditioning and a lovely bed gave us really comfortable nights. Nice thick bath and hand towels. Modern decor, sympathetically decorated and areas set out commemorating The Great War, remembering exceptional local people and displaying personal artefacts. A garden/terrace is available to guests at all times of the day.
From the range of toiletries offered, the only thing I missed was hair conditioner. Also, holding the room door handle down to close it quietly set of a buzzer alarm which coukd be heard by other guests. Otherwise, we could not find fault with anything.

We first stayed at the Ariane on a Holts battlefield tour and have stayed a couple of times since then, but this was our first visit for some years. We were delighted with the room, it size, attention to detail and it comfort. We ate at both the bar and restaurant and noticed that several locals were also dining there, which is always a good sign for any restaurant. The food was very good and all of the staff very helpful and attentive. The receptionist was also very helpful in booking a restaurant for us near the Menin Gate one evening. My wife casually asked one member of staff when the hotel had been sold and subsequently extended, to be told that her and her husband still owned it after all of these years. Very impressive. We will certainly be back when we next visit Ypres.

Reception staff are absolutely first class, so welcoming & helpful.... the best anywhere we've stayed! Breakfast was exceptional, everything you could possibly want & need for breakfast, a super choice & something for everyone. Lovely room, spacious & well appointed - comfortable beds. Fridge in room was very useful for us. Welcome tea/coffee tray also in room as was a coffee machine with 6 pods & complimentary bottled water. Toiletries also plentiful.
We found our particular room a little on the dark side this time, the rooms have been refurbed over the years & the current trends of the moment seems to be dark walls & accessories.... we personally could've done with a bit more light, a floor lamp would have done the trick.

Every aspect of this lovely hotel has been intricately considered. Decor throughout is so stylish, relaxing and funky . Rooms - although small , each element of comfort and convenience has been provided. Guiding sensor lights each side of the bed and in the bathroom - - brilliant idea . Comfort of bed 10/10 , linens used are so nice. iPad for info on the hotel & options available is a great ‘touch’ - excuse pun ! It is like an amalgamation of collaborative ideas of ‘ how to make a hotel enjoyable’. But the most interesting aspect was how the staff behaved and reacted to guests, it was like they were welcoming you into their own homes. The star was an English lady called Sue - awesome hospitality and a great source of information about the area; customer service at its pinnacle!
Nothing at all …

The location for visiting Ypres and the surrounding areas was excellent. The hotel is just a short walk from Ypres centre. We parked the car and left it there :) The breakfast was great, excellent wide selection of foods to suit everyone. We had dinner at the hotel one evening and the food was excellent, we even had a complimentary amuse bouche between starter and main which was so delicious, our compliments to the chef. The room was perfect for us, very comfortable, several different lighting options, tea and coffee making facilities, a comfy bed and excellent shower. The staff were all delightful and welcoming, you can tell this is not a chain hotel, the service was impeccable.

The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and all the staff have a 'bounce' in their step. They seem very happy in their work and this transmits through the whole place. It is a family run hotel and that sense of pride is very much in evidence. We had a superior room and it was fabulous. If you want to visit the area, whether on a history tour or just as a convenient location not too far from Calais, then I would highly recommend staying here. The Flanders field museum and the centre of town is an easy walk. We also ate at the hotel for breakfast and dinner... a real treat! Parking is off road and spacious! Great for our biggish car with bikes on the back!!
I always would like a pool for a swim .... but hey... that's only because I scratching around for something that wasnt excellent!

During check-in we were welcomed on the reception by lovely lady from Leicester. She greeted us warmly and explained everything perfectly. From that point forward we immediately knew this hotel was the right choice! Breakfast selection was brilliant!! The waitress who took our egg and bacon choices was so friendly. She even recognised us one evening outside the hotel with lovely friendly comments. Unfortunately we're unable to remember her name. The rooms are modern and cater for every need. It's perfectly situated in the city for sightseeing. There's a fascinating selection of WW1 artefacts on display in the ground floor cabinets. Even the check-out was a handled smoothly and efficiently with a full explanation. It also included detailed receipts of what we had charged to the rooms. Will certainly be returning here!!

The room was very well appointed and equipped, good quality linen and towels, an iron and ironing board and an umbrella in the wardrobe. Bed comfortable, though pillows a bit soft for my liking. Breakfast was excellent, a very good choice of breads and pastries and eggs cooked fresh to order a real joy. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel even has its own mini museum which was very interesting. For a City Centre location it is and excellent hotel we will be back. PS no-one gets a 10.
Only issue was pillows too soft for me.
