Stayed at Selina twice and got a private room both times. The private rooms are really spacious and well decorated. They very kindly gave me early access to my room after an overnight bus b/c it was available - life saving as I was not sure how I would kill 6 more hours until check in time. They also have left luggage which allowed me to leave my huge suitcase there instead of hauling it with me all over the country.
Only complaint I would have is that the rooms on the higher floors may be below the fitness room. I was woken at 6am by people doing jumping or slamming heavy objects in the fitness room. I think there are a lot of digital nomads staying in Selina so they have workday schedules from M-F that aren't necessarily aligned with those just traveling.

comfy beds, hot showers, welcome drink is great initiative to meet people
part of the staff was very unfriendly (guy with earring and girl with glitter in eyes, usually in the evening). when I asked for help with the busses, they started laughing and referred to TicketsBolivia. com - well, thanks. The Kitchen was very bad equipped, there was no cutlery at all. it is very noisy, but I guess this is a La Paz overall problem. booked a private 2x and the room was always way smaller than on the pictures.

Honestly, I absolutely loved my stay at Selina. My room was spacious and nicely designed, I had a fantastic view. The bed was gigantic, the shower was hot with a strong water pressure (even at the last floor), the room was regularly cleaned and tidied up. The food at the cafeteria was good, the breakfast is an absolute delight! Definitely worth paying for. All the staff were very helpful and available 24/7, I appreciated such attention very much. You rock, guys! I see some people complaining about the location but honestly it couldn’t be better! Everywhere is accessible by foot, the neighbourhood is nice and chill (not crazy noisy like the touristic center), I felt very safe. There was everything at the doorstep: pharmacy, good restaurants, laundry, atm.
It’s true that the facilities are a little bit worn out. But honestly it didn’t bother me at all since everything was clean and working properly. It’s a little shabby chick😁

The whole vibe is inviting and vibrant, I loved the decor (coolest reception desk ever). The food was good, the welcome drink was delicious, staff is friendly and efficient. Nice hot shower, fluffy bed, and really cool hang out areas. The location is right in the heart of my old neighborhood, very well connected and full of life. I booked a de-contracting massage and it was super relaxing, slept like a baby afterwards.
I found hair on the shower wall on arrival and I had a little problem with ants, but other than that it was really fine. Not the fault of the hotel of course, but there's a school right around the corner, they're loud (and they do daily unsuccessful school band practices), so if you dislike that kind of stuff, this is not your jam. It didn't bother me personally, but I thought it could be useful to know.

The hotel as a whole is decorated nicely. The area is nice with some great places to eat near by including the hostel itself. The main attractions of la paz can be booked through the hotel for convenience and are priced competitively.
Had to swap rooms due to a leak in the bathroom ceiling and the door to our room was hanging off the hinge. The room we got moved to was on the road side which was smaller and the sound of sirens through the night was more obvious.

Gabo from the restaurant and girls on this were so nice and attentive to our needs, also the staff members of the hostel were kind during our stay. There are restaurants, parks, a shopping center, a market, a Catholic church, and facilities for transportation close to the hostel. Besides, there is a huge space for games underground.
The lockers in the bedroom do not have enough space to the bags, and some of the mates should let them outside, so the bedroom was disorganized all the time, and the odor was not the best by this. It's important to reinforce in shared bedrooms that we should let the door secure. Some people let the door open or without secure when it was alone. The cost of souvenirs was higher than other places we were (included in hotels 5 stars).

- Great property with lots of common areas; fabulous kitchen with utensils. Good heating. Comfortable beds. - Nice helpful staff like Dana - who helped me get a piece of cake and coffee to my dorm when I was unwell with altitude sickness.
- bit too far away from central la Paz - the shower doors are not leak proof making the whole bathroom floor wet after someone has taken a shower, which makes for a messy stay as people walk into bathroom with their shoes and then mixed with water it’s all soiled up.

Clean and comfortable space. Helpful staff at front desk. Strong WiFi throughout. Cafe at reception is a very handy option for food. Decent location, about 20 minutes walk to witches market area.
The shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. However, part of the door was missing in our room. Slightly expensive taxi pre-arranged from airport as I landed early morning and did not want to flag one down. On my return trip to the airport, I ordered an Uber for half the price.

The shower! The hottest shower with strong water pressure I have felt my whole trip! Horishimo from the cafe downstairs was so amazing with the best recommendations and always up for a chat! The location is great in a very safe neighbourhood only a 15 minute walk from the main sights. We could see the city and a glimpse of mountains from our room.
It was maybe hard to strike up conversations with other travellers as the layout of social areas doesn’t really allow for mingling.

Very nice hotel and location. Staff were also very accommodating as we had pretty irregular check in and check out times. Location of the hotel also is good for walking and exploring La Paz. Size of room was just nice for 2. There were towels and some basic toiletries. Better to have some of your own though. We also really like how clean the room and bathroom felt. The hotel/hostel also has a lot of activities like welcome drinks every evening. Yoga classes and tours that you can pay to join. Really a great atmosphere to meet people in this hotel. We really enjoyed out stay there and would definitely recommend.
A little noisy from the street but we found it bearable
