Room was a nice size and very quiet, Bed was comfortable and bathroom was well presented. The view was lovely and the grounds very pleasant to walk around of an evening. Plenty of parking and good WIFI.

Although there was a fridge in the room there wasn't anywhere to make drinks or breakfast, there are facilities in the lobby but its a bit of a faf each time you fancy a cup of tea or a piece of toast to go downstairs and hope no one else is using the facilities, a kettle and a toaster in the room would have been nice. The balcony could do with a bit of a clean up but overall very good.

I'm a repeat customer of the Ocean Resort. I book when I'm in Campbell River for appointments and am always happy with the cleanliness, comfort, lovely location and the amenities provided. What stands out to me is their helpful friendly staff who do a great job. This time I asked if we could be moved to the ground floor as my room was booked upstairs. The lady on front desk that day did a little rearranging and even showed me a ground floor room before I checked in. If you're able to catch a sunset or sunrise here you won't be disappointed, they are spectacular.

The location next to the ocean is superb, the house is older but clean and well kept, the price is very reasonable, the staff leave you to your privacy and booking couldn't have been easier. This is my second time at the beach house and I highly recommend staying at this quiet, clean resort.

Nothing. The booking and check in was easy, if you need coffee, towels, condiments, bedding or whatever, the staff is right there accommodating you.

This is our second stay, and probably won't be our last. This seaside hotel is humble yet classy, way nicer than anything else in comox or campbell river at this price range. Rooms feel fresh and spotless, plenty of positives to this place. You can tell they are health conscious with filtered water available, good quality soap and shampoo in a dispenser. The bedding doesn't smell of scented cleaners. Really worth the short drive out of town if you're visiting CR or the valley.

The noisy highway is on the opposite side, so book a seaside room if they are available - worth the extra for the sunrises anyway : )

The property has beautiful views, it's a very nice setting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was nice, clean, generally everything was good.

There is coffee in the lobby, but no continental breakfast. There aren't many options for breakfast nearby, so we needed to improvise. I don't think breakfast was supposed to be included in the room rate, but it would have been a welcome convenience.

When my friend forgot her jacket in the room the owner called and texted us just as we were driving away to get ahold of us before we left. Much appreciated!!! Thank you!!

The coffee wasn’t very good in the lobby. Also the fridge was leaking when we arrived but the desk staffing is not 24 hours so we told the staff the next morning. They were responsive and asked if they should fix it right away.

The view was amazing. We love staying in hotels, the hard thing about hotels is that they are almost never clean enough.. you can see handprints on the walls and skin oils around light switches etc.. this hotel was very very clean, the beds were comfortable, and I love that the rooms don’t have carpet.

The only thing that wasn’t the greatest.. but didn’t bother us too much.. when other people left their rooms the closing of doors is quite loud.. this is because of how the door handles work..

Location was great. The providing of chairs and lounges to sit/lay on while "watching the world go by" was great. Constant coffee and tea was good. Cleanliness of room was good.

a surcharge to clean the room was a surprise! All room lighting was on one side of the room. As a result the comfortable chair was useless to sit and read in. It was also useless as a possibility to sit in to watch TV. As there were no nearby eating establishments it would have been nice to have a basic breakfast service., toast, bagels, fruit, etc.

Pro: I’ve always wanted to stay at this place and finally had a chance to go with my family for mini vacay around the new year. The new owners were very welcoming and friendly when we checked in. The whole place and the room were very clean and tidy. They provided only essentials supplies, but were sufficient for our stay. The lobby has coffee and tea 24/7, but reception closes at certain time. The location is ideal to us, about 20km out of town but the drive is super nice, so we didn’t mind at all; it’s quiet at night and we have some nice ocean view from our room. Cons: The room is a bit small for a family of four, but we managed. It was a bit warm at night, even with all the heats turn off, but we cracked the door open a bit, and managed to sleep better, too. Would be nice to have a kettle in the room but given the fact that they don’t provide tea nor coffee in the room, it is understandable that they don’t have kettle in every room, but still would be nice to have the option for hot water if wanted ( i.e. for instant miso soup or reman noodles…)

This is our second return this year. The hotel looks smarter, new air conditioner in some rooms, house deck replaced, grounds upkept. We rented paddle boards for $25/hour and goofed around in their bay. Water was cold but refreshing. Richard let us plug our EV into level 1 socket. Lots of eagle action. We love sitting outside our room watching the sun fade.
