The staff was very courteous and welcoming. The location is really good.

The ac in the rooms didn’t function properly as the thermostat couldn’t regulate the temp. You had to manually switch off the ac else it would be freezing.

We are satisfied with the Queen room at the 12nd floor with harbor view (although some directions were blocked some some buildings). The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. The elevators require room key to select floor number. Breakfast was good. The fruits were fresh. There are on-site coin operated washers and dryers, very important to us. The location is great, walking to downtown and spring garden road. The staff were friendly. We will live here if come back to Halifax.

Paid parking. Breakfast area could be bigger in peak season because many tour groups live here.

Very convenient location right at the Halifax citadel, just a few blocks to the waterfront, a few street parking lots in front of the hotel, more private lots at additional cost in the back of the hotel, washer and dryer at disposal at additional cost, clean, good selection for breakfast

The hotel is getting a bit long in the tooth (furniture, equipment), but is clean and well maintained. As mentioned in several other ratings, it's a real pity (and shame) the breakfast (with a good selection) is only offered with single use plates and cutlery (paper plates and cups and wooden cutlery) - we think this is awkward concerning both style and environment and real reusable dishes would increase the quality and justify the room rate.

The breakfast was such a plus. The only thing I found that I think needs addressing is the bed. The mattress itself was comfortable but the frame was very flimsy and shakey. If I even coughed , the whole bed moved. Everytime I moved , even a little , my husband was woke up and vise versa. Nothing a solid frame couldnt fix. Other than that , the rooms were a good size , very clean and cozy. The location was perfect for a casino visit to the city and the staff at the front counter , well so friendly and accommodating.

The check in took us way longer than in all other hotels, we have been to in our lives. The receptionist was unable to explain why. The room we booked was „not ready“ at 5.30 pm, so we were asked to chose a different one. The breakfast dishes (plates, cuttlery, cups) are all made of „recycable“ paper, instead of proper washable material. You feel like on a camping trip where tons of waste is created every morning. We would expect better from an internationally-reknown franchise like Hilton.

The room, two queen beds, was lovely, One small night table held a great device that housed all kinds of plug -ins and charging receptacles. imho, each bed should have a separate light so that one can read and the other can sleep. Nice small fridge. View of the Citadel (Room 1626) and close to the elevator. Close to many places to eat. Quite pricey, especially the parking!!!! Fabulous breakfast!

Breakfast was okay. Putting chair pads on the dining chairs would be cheap and contribute hugely to the atmosphere in the dining area. Location is great.

The elevators were ridiculously congested. We waited for three elevators before we finally got on the fourth. Would have taken stairs but had luggage. Kept our cab waiting. The reception area and hallways were not very clean. The sofa in the reception area had a huge stain on it, looked nasty. Wasn’t sure I wanted to sit on it, hallway carpets weren’t vacuumed.

Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a good variety. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was ok, but hills made it difficult to go down to the harborfront only once during our 3-day stay. Not many restaurants nearby, except those downhill. Scotia shopping close to hotel and the indoors are flat!

Hills! Too many hills. Hotel sign difficult to see when driving to initially find it. Parking was limited but they had a solution to some enclosed parking near.

The location was perfect for attending show in downtown Halifax. Room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good with lots of options to choose from.

Check-in did not go well as the front desk clerks could not find my reservation even though I provided the booking confirmation number and email I received. I was given a lesser room than what I booked (queen room with no view instead of king corner room with water view). My credit card was charged for the more expensive room and I complained. A couple hours later I was moved to the right room and I received an apology from the supervisor so all ended well.

Room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a ringette tournament in town so the hotel was very busy. Our breakfast was a little on the cold side.

We missed out on the pancakes and waffles because we didn't want to hold others up by making them. It would have been nice to have had some already prepared to choose from in the warming/servers.
