The Lord Nelson hotel was just what we needed for a night on our trip. Right off the highway. The room was a good size with a great King bed. A well appointed room with a small fridge, good size TV, good water pressure, clean sheets, towels, toiletries, etc. The "exceptional" part was that the hotel mailed me (via Canada Post) a unique power cable that I left there. This added service was wonderful and the person on the phone was so understanding and fast about sending.

The air conditioner was quite loud and the price was high for a room we were in for less than 10 hours, but I would stop there again if I was passing by and needed a break from the road.

The staff were exceptional and very accommodating for our trip. Everyone was very friendly and personable. Everything was very clean and inviting, with many new elements (including bed linens, carpet annd bathroom sink) and the mattress was reasonably comfortable.

Honestly, nothing. Somethings looked a little tired, but you can tell that they are busy fixing things up and updating the decor. They’ve even made the outdoor space very inviting!

So much... This is a 'old style' motel {or motor-court} where you drive up to your door and park there. It has been maintained perfectly with modern goods, The king bed is awesome, the room is amazingly quiet and EVERYTHING is so clean. We had a microwave, coffee maker (w/ supplies), a good sized fridge, satellite TV and enough towels & bathroom supplies to withstand a good sized flood. The room was very comfortably warm (cold weather) and quiet (beside Hwy 401}. Next door is a 24 hr. variety store, gas station and A&W.

For Us... Nothing.

For my needs, the location was perfect. Near hwy 401 for quick access across Kingston, on Rt 15 within a mile of good places to eat as well as 10 minutes from downtown, and next to a A&W/gas station for quick needs. Room was very clean and the AC unit didn’t wake me up like at many motels/hotels. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Greeted by a cool cat as well.

Bed was very firm, which I like, but you may want to bring a topper if you don’t.

The room was very clean. Loved the special touches, that made you feel special. They had chocolates, and there was ice in the freezer, the toilet paper was folded in a V. Towels were extremely soft, the bed was very comfortable. The place was very quiet. Outside there was table and chairs in the shade, very welcoming! Plus they allow pets.

I can’t think of anything that could have been better. Everything was clean, welcoming, and very comfortable.

The room was very big, the bedding was clean, their was toiletries and towels provided daily. Their was a coffee maker with coffee and tea pods daily. Milk was olso provided. The tv had loads of chanels to watch various chanels on. It had a balcony which had a small table and chair to sit out round the back. It was near a shopping mall and about 15 minutes drive into Kingstone which was very nice. It olso had a chair just out side of each room. Parking was free and their was plenty of parking space.

The shower was a bit hard to control water level.

Everything went very well. Clean, comfortable beds, fridge with freezer, microwave. The water flow in the shower was lovely... Great coffee for each morning.

I wish I had booked directly with the motel. Somehow “Booking .com” overcharged me by approx 80.$. No fault of Motel manager. I will try to retrieve the money. Bonus question, “I requested to have parking at no additional” No I didn’t !

Although an older Motel, the facilities offered a secure, clean, quiet, and affordable place to rest our head. It is located near Highway 401 (hardly hear the noise) and it is less than 10 minutes away from downtown Kingston. There are a couple of restaurants that are walking distance and you can fuel up next door. It is the convenient for all your needs.

Some little repairs, here and there. It is an older building with "character". If you want a great place that is reasonably priced for providing a great roof over your head, met with great, friendly service then I recommend the Lord Nelson Motel. Will certainly be the place to return to when I visit that area again.

Cleaner than most other hotels. Parking just by the door. Everything was in place, clean, and worked: fridge, hot water and tub, conditioner, heater, chairs, table, other furniture, etc. I didn't use TV.

A&W near the hotel was closed after 10pm even though it said "24 hours".

We were so pleasantly pleased with the view from our room. We enjoyed watching the sun set from our balcony. They had a wonderful area out front with picnic tables, a place for a fire, and the fair lights were a hit with my kids. Bed were comfy, location was exceptional. We would stay here again!

Doors would slam when they caught the wind, which was all the time. We just had to be more aware and find ways to avoid it slamming..
