My daughter left her sunglasses in the room and when we called to ask if they had been found we were told that they had not been found. So they were stolen by a staff member! Not happy!

We loved being able to bring our dogs and how close it was to both the ByWard market and parliment! The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable.

Parking was a bit confusing we knew that we wanted to Valet but didn’t know we could pull out front and park until valet was ready to take our vehicle. Their QR code for the vehicle retrieval also didn’t work for us but no worries we were able to get help in the lobby. Construction was going on directly beside the hotel and we could hear it pretty early. Obviously nothing the hotel can do about it but just something to take note of if you’re traveling with young ones or are hoping to sleep in.

The king size room was very nice and clean. I really liked the different layout.The location was excellent. It was near the Byward Market and within walking distance of other sites of interest.

It was a little noisy due to construction outside but they had pre-advised this and left ear plugs (which I didn’t wear as I probably would not have heard an alarm). My only other disappointment was I had 2 issues on separate evenings that needed staff assistance and both times it took multiple requests over a long period of time to get the issues dealt with

It's the first time I've been to a hotel that is clean like that! Wonderful job done by the staff to keep the property clean. The room is big enough. Unlimited snacks, beverages, refills, etc. Well maintained. Security at night at the lobby.

If you are facing the parliament hill, it will be loud at night. People screaming on the streets, sirens, music, etc. (was worse on Saturday night). But they furnish ear plugs in your room. The risk to be in vibrant neighborhood. A lot of homeless people surrounding the hotel but that's everywhere on the streets and security staff is there at night.

Originally intending to stay for just two nights, I was so captivated by the experience that I promptly extended my stay for an additional two nights, a decision that truly speaks to the exceptional quality of this hotel chain. The room I had the pleasure of staying in was a true gem, situated in a corner position that afforded me an impeccable view of the cityscape. Witnessing the lights of Ottawa from my room was an enchanting spectacle that simply added to my fondness for the city. What set the room apart were the remarkable full-floor-to-ceiling windows, creating an immersive and panoramic experience that seamlessly connected the indoors with the dynamic urban scene outdoors. The attention to detail in the room layout, furnishings, and overall ambiance ensured a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that truly resonated with me. It's not often that accommodations manage to strike a perfect balance between style and comfort, but this property undoubtedly succeeded in doing so. The professionalism, helpfulness, and friendliness of the staff also played a pivotal role in enhancing my stay. Their level of service was consistently top-notch, and their genuine dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience did not go unnoticed. One standout feature was the daily provision of complimentary snacks, sodas, and bottled water, a gesture that went above and beyond the norm and added a delightful touch to my stay. This property easily ranks as the best among the various accommodations I experienced throughout my Canadian journey. Its impact on my perception of the city was profound, prompting me to extend my stay and immerse myself further in its charming experience.

the pillow were very soft but not that big deal

The restaurant breakfast was very, very good - we loved it actually. There was construction nearby and the staff was very honest about what to expect and provided extras to compensate for the disturbance. It was very loud, but luckily we were already awake and ready to leave so it didn't affect us too much. Excellent location in byward market.

The construction was the only negative. I imagine that is over by now.

As a family of 4 with two young children, we found the double Queen room really comfortable. We were happy with the layout and all the smart storage features throughout the room, plus the small table and seating area. The air conditioning and shower were great. The complimentary soft drinks were a nice touch. Wifi was strong and steady. Our view faced onto the Byward Market and Parliament Hill, which was lovely. We could hear street sounds especially at night, though our white noise machine helped. The lobby area was comfortable and staff were welcoming. Check in and out were a breeze. The location is great for enjoying Byward Market with all its restaurants, patios, and shops. It is very easy to walk to Parliament Hill.

Parking was a little inconvenient but not more so than in any other city. The rate at the lot recommended by the hotel was $35/day, which we found a little steep. We found a lot further away, still less than a ten minute walk, and parked there for $15 a day for the duration of our stay. As with other cities, this part of Ottawa has its share of homeless people and/or people struggling with mental health. It is wise to pay attention and be aware of your surroundings. We still felt comfortable walking all around downtown with children, though at times we would move along if we noticed anything inappropriate or people becoming rowdy.

I was on the 11th floor in a corner room. The view was spectacular. I did not close the curtains and watched the sun rise amongst the city skyline in a very comfortable bed.

there was a neighboring construction site working from 7am to 7 pm. The hotel provided ear plugs but the noise started early. Since my meeting started at 8 I was out of the hotel early and was not exposed to this noise for very long.

The room was the best room I have ever stayed in; the size was perfect and it was so well designed that there was even room for a small walk-in closet! It was not crammed with furniture as in most hotel rooms and it was spotless! The location is excellent, you can walk to a lot of attractions and restaurants

Most of the staff at the reception was not friendly at all, I had to ask everything myself after I checked in — WiFi, breakfast etc. and when they answered you can tell they were impatient as if why would anyone ask about breakfast or WiFi at a hotel ?!

The staff are very helpful, and so welcoming upon arrival! Love the complimentary drink you receive at check in and also the complimentary drinks(non-alcoholic) and snacks in the room!

Room was ready but not really…it was clean however they have to have all rooms inoected by the manager before giving keys to the guest…which is great! However it was 5pm and we had to wait for them to inspect the room before being able to get it, which was a bit annoying after a long day of travelling. The complimentary glass of wine helped while we waited though!!
