First, I got an upgrade to an executive suite and that was a very welcome gesture. As soon as I checked into the executive room, I immediately knew I wanted to extend my stay at the hotel, which I did for an additional 3 nights. And I still stayed in the executive suite for those additional nights. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa making it easy to walk around and navigate the historical and memorial sites with much ease. Indeed, there is value for money. Staff are extremely friendly and supportive. My TV was fixed in a split second after I reported. Free laundry facilities are an additional gesture that make life extremely easy for travelers. Washing detergent is also provided. Breakfast has a thousand options and appropriate for all ages and meets dietary needs for everyone. Kudos to that. Thank you to The Business Inn.

We love this place especially because of the staff. They are so nice and accommodating. My husband is a pianist and has concerts once a month regularly. 3 in one weekend. So we stay there regularly. The location, the breakfast. All amazing , but mostly the staff.

This time the bed was not comfortable and the room was tight. I am handicap so with the wheelchair, or a walker this room on the friend floor was not good. The best was on the third floor, next to the elevator, (across the breakfast room). Parking 27 was amazing. Also I didn’t like the vacuum cleaner hanging in the middle of the room.

We booked a queen studio and it was so perfect will all the basic amenities included. The best part was balcony which really give me very lively feel. And also a great location for tourists. Too many food place are just on 2-3 min walk and also parliament hill is even on walking distance. Parking facilities was also provided for $20 per night . And also great breakfast service was included. All in all it's a great place to stay in Ottawa for a leisure trip.

There's nothing for shopping around it and also if you are a nature beloved person this will not help at all.

The queen suite was spacious and comfortable. I was amazed that there was a computer in the room available for personal/business use - what a plus! There is a full kitchen with stove and fridge - all the necessities if you want to cook your own meals. The location is central to all amenities and within walking distance to great restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, the complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of choices for all. The front desk, breakfast and hospitality staff were super attentive, welcoming and friendly. The main entrance was being renovated so know that this property cares to improve the look, feel and comfort of the guests. Thank you for providing a fabulous place to stay away from home.

Not a thing!

The staff were incredibly friendly and allowed us to check in early which was a huge convenience as we had moved hotel. The breakfast was great with a good selection of hot and cold food. The gym and laundry facilities were also very good as I used them both on my one night stay. Also the room and its amenities were faultless for me. Parking facilities and close to the city centre made this a 10/10 stay.

Nothing at all I would highly recommend

I was pleasantly surprised by the price-to-quality ratio at this hotel. Although it was a budget trip, we received much more than we expected. Compared to hotels in Montreal and Toronto, where we paid significantly more for much lower quality, this stay was a great value. The room was fully equipped for any situation: a stove with an oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, a complete set of dishes and cutlery, refrigerator, iron and steamer, air conditioner, fan, air purifier, wall and bedside clocks, desk lamps, an automatic night light in the bathroom, hair dryer, vanity table with lighting, and even a full working space with a computer and printer. There were two TVs — one facing the sofa and another by the bed. It also had a bathtub, not just a shower cabin, which is a nice bonus. And that’s just part of the list! The location is excellent — just a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. Our windows faced Minto Park, so street noise wasn’t an issue, and the view was lovely. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of products to suit almost any taste.

The room had poor sound insulation. We could hear both people in the hallway and noise from neighboring rooms. While the variety of equipment was impressive, most items were rather old and basic. However, everything worked fine, and that’s what really matters. The biggest disappointment was the refrigerator — it was spacious but very noisy at night and may disturb guests’ sleep. Also, I should mention that although our room faced the quiet side, I assume that rooms facing the opposite side of the building might experience street noise, as there is a large sports bar located there. Breakfast had a wide selection, but most products were store-bought rather than freshly prepared. Still, given that this isn’t a five-star hotel, I wouldn’t consider this a serious drawback.

The hotel is great. Good location and can walk easily to most of the many Ottawa attractions. There are many restaurants on Elgin just outside the door ..tough choices as they all are good from what we tried. Our room ,( and the friends we were travelling with,) was a full apartment and well stocked. Nice option to forego housekeeping for a credit, and have access to a linen cart. The breakfast was amazing with good selection and could pick up a prepackaged snack bag for the day. Total bonus was free laundry ( with soap and bounce sheets,). Staff were accommodating and helpful. We had to call to get our TV set up ..and maintenance was up in 5 minutes. Totally recommend this family owned hotel.

The location was perfect! I was surprising my daughter, who was playing her first show at "Live on Elgin" and I was only 2 blocks away. There was also a plethora of stores and restaurants, within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. I expected a basic room, but was given a suite that exceeded my expectations. The unit was, also, extremely clean and comfortable, as well as very well equipped. The amenities we're also good. The provided breakfast was fairly good and there was access to free laundry. It was a home away from home and so much better. I would, if in similar circumstances, stay there again.

No pool or spa, but, I didn't have time for them anyway.

ALL of the staff from the front desk to housekeeping and dining area were very friendly and hospitable. The room was clean and you can clearly see that the facilities were upgraded or are new. Breakfast was generous and they even prepared water bottles + cookies + granola bars + mint candy in a bag that you can take with you to your room.

The airconditioning in our room was very noisy (it was old and falling apart). We mentioned this during check-out. The front desk person explained that it was supposed to replaced (maybe it was missed since most of the facilities in the room were new). She comped part of our hotel charges even though we were not expecting it at all.

a real time capsule of a room, like a studio apartment with two large closets, brown bathtub, full kitchen, brown naugahide sofa, and desk with a little 2011 computer running Windows 7 for internet access, and a printer right in the room, plus a long balcony. Power strip next to the bed with enough outlets to charge everything. Friendly and helpful desk staff. Lots of choices for breakfast.

Hallways reeked of ancient cigarette smoke. The odor was not too strong in the room since I ran the fan all night and opened the door to the balcony when I arrived The hotel is just above a sports bar and crowds were roaring their celebration of an Ottawa playoff game victory... not too restful..
