I like the services provided by the staff namely, Christine and Marcelo. Both always greeted me with a genuine smile and the services provided by both were exceptional.

When I booked the room, I stated that I want a very quiet and corner room. The room no. given to me was 608. I had a very comfortable sleep on the very first day but the I was woken up at around 7:00 AM by relentless drilling and hammering sound which was literally in the next room closed to the lift/elevator. When I got out of my room, I saw a guy drilling a wall. I understand that the Canopy by Hilton is quite new and there maybe some "touch up" jobs that need doing. It would have been acceptable if I had been informed about the works or the works could have been scheduled later in the morning/day rather than very early in the morning.

The Canopy was a really exceptional hotel experience. We wished we were able to stay longer. We were extremely impressed with the finishing touches and modern style of everything in the hotel. The room we had was spacious and had some fantastic touches with great decor, a roomy bathroom, a foyer area for bags and coats and a sizeable TV to enjoy the Stanley Cup finals. We were very impressed with the automated controls dotted over the room for curtain closing, light activation and air conditioning. The staff were very welcoming. The gym was spacious and well equipped and although we didn't have a chance to use it the swimming pool was a good size. We were located within easy distance of many food outlets and it was easy to get into main Toronto.

Parking in the area was difficult with no street parking overnight for non-permit holders and some multi-storey parking which we were told to avoid. We thus had no option other than valet parking at the hotel which despite the excellent and very efficient service felt a little over-priced.

Hotel was new and in great condition. Room was nicely appointed and comfortable bed and pillows. Digital controls for lights and curtains a bit challenging to learn but worked out well. Staff very friendly.

I do not like the fact that this hotel intentionally mis-labelled itself as "Yorkville" - a blatant attempt of misleading advertising for which there is no excuse. It is only a label but diminishes my opinion of the hotel. And this hotel is nowhere near "Sugar Beach", so your following question is ridiculous.

Arriving back after a long day to room not cleaned. Didn't happen after complaint. Not consistently replenishing tea and coffee facilities. No outdoor terraces. (Still being worked on) Went to breakfast (it was mothers day) didnt feel welcome as a hotel guest. Strange fancy menu. Didn’t go for breakfast again. Pool was clean, surrounding floor tiles were very dirty up close. Overall though enjoyed the stay

The staff were very friendly and helpful across the hotel. The hotel is very well designed and being new is very fresh. The design also means the room is very quiet.

They should be clearer on the state of the development. It is fine that the hotel is not finished but I checked twice about the pool and it keeps saying maintenance for a few more days. It is not ready and that is the fact helpful to know so one is not disappointed.

Hotel was very clean. Room was spacious and bed was extremely comfortable. Well equipped gym and pool available. Restaurant food was tasty. Good location next to subway Station, which was super easy to use.

When booking was told you could add breakfast on arrival. This was not true. Staff didn't know how to do this and instead said we could just order from a menu daily and pay for what we ordered.

Modern and beautiful

I had very busy days and could not get food at night. There is no room service on the phone options, and not at the online site. Bathroom toilet placed as an afterthought and smaller than a facility on an airplane.

Very friendly staff The fridge in the room was very convenient. Water and ice machine in the corridor, and there were a bottle and ice container in the room for their use. PS - there were also a sparkling water in the gym! There were several convenient places to eat in the neighborhood, including for breakfast,

The pool was relatively small and its water was too warm.

The staff were all super polite, helpful and had a sense of humour. Bed comfortable and cool, bathroom very clean. Gyma dn pool very clean and looked after.

Though comfortable, the room smelled a little stale - like it needed airing out. The water filter down the hall wasn't working on arrival.

security was good, staff friendly, restaurant ‘A’ rating. Salt water pool ‘A’, towels at pool a real bonus, warm & cozy in pool. .

Bathroom small, tap system flooding over small sink area. Shower Ok. For 3 people, had to ask daily for extra towels for 3rd person. 2 cups in coffee/tea, asked for 3rd cup (when our guest count was 3).
