Suite room was a good size, wifi was good, TV was good, room was cleaned well, bed was comfortable. Coffee machine was good.

The breakfast is way too expensive. For a family of 4, I would be looking at $100 a day on breakfast alone. Could there be a way to incentivise hotel guests to have bfast, e.g. 50% coupon, 1 for 1 vouchers, etc. Would also be good if housekeeping could add water bottles to the room daily.

I was a little torn about booking this hotel, it was either here or the Raddisson..thank goodness I choose here, it ticked all the boxes. The hotel is lovely, a welcoming warm feeling and the staff are superb, big shout out to the breakfast team and front desk. The room was very spacious (family of 5) Perfect position, we are a family that like to walk so a good stretch into Toronto everyday taking different routes to see different sights, also directly over the road from the ROM. Also: We ate breakfast every morning here and it was lovely. The hotel has underground parking which was explained at $55 per night, we stayed just short of a week and it cost us $90 in total. I would definitely book here again.

4th night of staying and We could hear a barking Dog in a room, I’d clearly missed the part about animals allowed in the hotel rooms. I reported to front desk, they explained they’d patrol to see which room it’s in but nothing could really be done about it. Apparently floor 5 don’t allow animals.

Very quiet hotel. The hotel seemed busy this weekend but there was not an issue with noise unlike some other hotels I've stayed at. Nice large room with Nespresso machine. Nice bathroom too. The bed was exceptionally comfortable! I slept like a baby each of the 3 nights I was there.

Shoddy wifi connection. The hotel's free wifi needs work...speed is extremely slow and you need to re-connect continually. Also, TV signal could be improved. It often loses its signal and the TV cuts out. I really liked the hotel and I've stayed here before but I find it really pricey lately. However, most hotels are very costly lately. The room was a bit dark too. It could use better lighting.

Front end staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, Restaurant very nice. Fitness room was well equipped. Parking was convenient. Our room was clean and quiet, nice view of the tower and ROM from our 8th story room.

Restaurant staff were not very attentive. Waited for some time to be seen and seated (It was not busy). Wait staff seemed to disappear into a back room. Although breakfast was included in our reservation, the server was nowhere to be seen when we were finished eating, after waiting for roughly 5 minutes, we ended up having to leave for travel reservations. Note. the above did not hinder our stay, but it would be something I would want to know if I managed the hotel.

The location is perfect and the rooms are very comfortable and clean.

A couple of small points could easily be improved. Our rate included breakfast yet we were charged breakfast and it was a hard task to explain to the breakfast staff that we should not have to pay anything for breakfast. It was eventually sorted out. Secondly the room had one espresso cup and one regular cup, one coffee pod and two milk, none of which was topped up before the next morning. For this quality hotel (and price) one should be able to rely on having two cups of coffee in the morning for two guests in the room.

It was right across the street from the ROM and in the heart of Yorkville which is a trendy, hip section of downtown Toronto. Everyone walks, rides a bike, or takes public transportation in Toronto and this hotel is in a very convenient location. The room was very spacious, the shower was luxurious and everything was very clean. The hotel bar had a really lovely outdoor seating area (as well as a hip indoor one) and it was heavenly to relax on the couches with a glass of delicious local wine. The staff was professional and very nice. They offered bottled water when we checked in. The fridge is a mini bar which charges your room if you remove anything for more than 20 seconds, so don’t plan on using it to store your own stuff unless you notify the front desk and ask them to remove the stocked items. Parking is either valet for $55 Canadian a day or in the self park/pay municipal lot located under the hotel. The cost for almost 48 hours was less than $35 Canadian. We parked and used an Uber when we had too. The Hop-on Hop-off buss in Toronto is excellent and the stop is right across the street from the hotel, so it was very convenient for these first time Toronto visitors.

The bar was a little pricey.

Our executive king suite was tastefully appointed and decorated. The pool on the roof was clean and overlooked the CN Tower in downtown Toronto which made swimming there all the more pleasurable. The hot and steam saunas were a luxurious addition to the experience. The pièce de résistance of our stay though was the breakfast at the Signature restaurant downstairs. The pancakes were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The eggs were perfectly cooked and everything was fresh and locally sourced. We would love go stay here again if we can.

I believe the fridge in the room was being serviced so hopefully, they get it working soon.

On our first visit to Canada, even though we had family spotted around we wanted to explore Toronto by our own means. My children watch a tv show "The Next Step" where we see the Sonesta Hotel at the start and when we booked it they were ecstatic. The location is so central and we were able to do trips via subway and walking distance to museums and shops.

It was our bad luck that there were road works right outside the hotel when we stayed and this was just a minor inconvenience.

The property is well maintained and pretty. It’s close to Chinatown, Kensington Market and across the street from ROM. It was pouring one day we stayed and I wanted to get my umbrella from my car parked in valet. The associate at front desk offered a huge one for us to borrow while we were out. The Proof Bar is great for hanging out before dinner- we enjoyed our charcuterie board and cocktails too. 10 out 10 for customer service. I would like to stay there again!

Everything! The room was spacious, modern, clean and had everything I wanted. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The smaller size of the hotel meant it did not feel like a zoo in the lobby, elevators, restaurants and bar. Location extremely convenient and close to great shopping, museums, restaurants and public transportation and it was easy to get ubers. I will definitely stay here again. Kudos Royal Sonesta Yorkville!

Construction out front, but not the hotel's fault.
