The hotel is centrally located in a slightly seedy area; from there it is easy to explore Bogotá’s essential sights. There is a nice view from a commonly accessible roof terrace. There are some interesting artworks, and I just wish the front desk staff were a little more informed about them. I liked the general look and feel of things, and I did appreciate some of the creative choice such as Beethoven’s fifth symphony for breakfast.

The general atmosphere is somewhat minimalist; there is no elevator, no water in the room, and breakfast comes with exactly one cup of coffee and exactly one choice of cereals, pancakes, or eggs. Whatever comes out of the kitchen, that’s all there is. The fruit juice varied from day to day but although fresh was never delicious and never included the obvious choice of oranges.

This place is located in the Candaleria district of Bogota with restaurants and shops. Gold museum close by. Historic center of town is 2-3 blocks away. Weekends the area is filled with students on dates and partying from private universities near. The hotel is far enough away to avoid most noise. It was quiet during the week. Great healthy breakfast. An upper terrace where you can enjoy a beer or other refreshment available from the kitchen. Excellent, helpful staff. Laundry service was quick. Arranged a taxi to the airport for me. Daily maid service. I recommend this hotel. This was my second stay here because I like it.

It is a little pricier than many but it's location, service, and breakfast makes up for it.

Breakfast was very limited. The juices were very good. The overhead lights should be turned on in the dining room. Rocio is fabulous, lovely, gracious demeanor. No one told us that there was a roof terrace. On arrival, the front desk person should point out all of the amenities of the hotel so that we can enjoy them.

The hotel arranged a pick up at the airport. We arrived at 1am. The shuttle never came and no one called me. We had to do it on our own. On arrival we were told the car broke down. That's not acceptable. We should have been called. We were also told we had to pay for the additional night. We arrived at the hotel about 3 am. We didn't think that was right either. A couple of times, during our stay, I arrived at the door and no one was at the desk. I had to wait for someone to arrive to let me in. That is not safe or right.

Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Casa Deco. If you are looking for a wonderful stay in LA Candelaria, I highly recommend this hotel. Easy walk to all the attractions - Botero museum, Bolivar plaza, artisan markets, Museo del Oro, and much more. My room was spacious, very clean, the bed was comfortable and I had a nice view of the city. I also loved the rooftop terrace. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. They provided wonderful recommendations and there was someone at the desk 24 hours a day. I felt very safe and well taken care of.

Overall, a wonderful experience! The hot water in the shower could have been hotter, but this is a tiny thing. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable and enjoyable stay in the heart of La Candelaria.

Staff are lovely, rooms are big, bathroom looked recently refitted, good breakfast and the location is great. It is walkable to everywhere that tourists want to see including the Montserrat cable car. There is a nice market with food hall just behind the hotel. Despite this location, the outside noise doesn't come in and the front door is always locked making it feel secure. The hotel also organised airport pickups for me which worked perfectly

Bogota was chilly and stormy when I was there so the room could feel cold. A lot of noise due to the way the hotel is designed with a central staircase. Didn't bother me but may be an issue for others.

The breakfast was delicious and the perfect amount of food to start the day. We stayed in the upstairs suite and the room was amazing. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had great pressure and the terrace was the perfect place to relax in the afternoon. The location in the heart of La Candelaria was ideal for going to dinner and catching live music in the evening.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and spacious, the shower was very good and had consistent hot water. Large windows provided good ambient light, and the curtains blocked outside light at night. The bed was quite comfortable. The staff was great! Everyone was very friendly, courteous, helpful and professional. The breakfast was very good. The location is perfect for walking around the Calendaria district. The rooftop terrace was beautiful, with great views.

We had a room overlooking the street, which at times was quite noisy. Next time we would choose a room away from the street.

Breakfast was good, and in a very nice ambiance. Room was bright and spacious (but see 'What didnt you like'). Generally a very nice atmosphere throughout the hotel.

On arrival, no internet. Later on, internet came back but it was never very strong or stable. TELEVISION IN MY ROOM NEVER WORKED, "Because the internet is not strong enough".... No (writing) desk, only a tiny tiny coffee table (room 305). Such a large room, especially if accommodating 2 guests, could/should have a decent, much much much larger table or desk! During my stay, the weather was very cold (around 10 Centigrade) and the rooms dont have heating. I was forever chilled during my stay. The lighting: functional, but the room and bathroom would be so much nicer if thought would be put in the lighting.

Wonderful location in La Candelaria. Within walking distance to many attractions. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Relaxing top floor terrace with beautiful view. We have been coming here for 10+ years and always have a great experience. For a rare treat, plan ahead and book the emerald mining tour experience.

No complaints. This is our home away from home in Bogotá.

1. The staff are amazing! (Shout out Ingrid!) They went above and beyond - I had a knee injury prior to arriving and they were extremely accommodating (offering to move my room to a lower floor, waiving penalties for cutting my stay short, arranging transportation, etc.) Pleasantly surprised by the possibility of room service. Did not expect the option but it was fast and prices were so reasonable, I thought it was a typo at first! 2. Beautiful, clean property. Loved the 4th floor terrace. Hot water without an issue and a space heater in the room if needed. The Queen Suite was huge with lots of storage. No noise issues whatsoever. Even better than the photos. 3. Location! Even with an injury, I could easily access the sites. Lots of cute restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Great security at the hotel and I felt 100% safe as a solo female traveler. Great vibe in the neighborhood - a mix of university students and professionals. Area around the hotel does not feel touristy at all despite proximity to historical center. Thank you Casa Deco! Will absolutely stay again!
