Great location, clean rooms. Staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was soooo tasty!!

Couldn't control the temperature of the room. There is a panel on the wall, but we tried turning the temperature up a few times, and it just kept resetting to the original low temp. The TV is quite old so we couldn't cast our phone when we wanted a chilled morning or to watch something as we were getting ready to go out, and there were no English channels. The balcony is tiny and unusable as a balcony. This was quite disappointing as we love to sit and watch the world go by while deciding what to do the next day. Beds were also super hard, which might work for some people, but just gave us both sore backs.

Not a 5* but a very nice 4*. It's in the heart of La Candelaria, everywhere you want to visit is a short walk, and there's plenty of cafes/restaurants around. It also felt very safe. Breakfast was good, they had your standard options plus some local dishes that changed every day. My room was great and very large, I had an upgraded one which was definitely worth the money, I was on the 7th floor with views of the city and the mountains too. The Spa is great too, it's included in the price and it's a nice place to relax after a day walking around. Staff was very helpful, always at hand when needed.

Great breakfast with a nice ambience. Very stylish hotel located on a very historical street, two blocks from the main plaza of the city. The hotel is not far away from the political heart of Colombia due to its close proximity to the Presidential Palace and Congress. The hotel offers concierge services which were much appreciated and has staff that is extremely helpful. It is also good value for your money.

The hotel is not the only place in Colombia where it is a little difficult to communicate because Colombians, for some reason, speak almost no English, nowadays the lingua franca of the world. That applies to the staff even at the hotel's reception.

Superb location to visit the historic Candelaria area and the cable car & funicular to Monseratte are within walking distance. If its a quick fly in fly out of Bogota to another regional city you might consider a hotel nearer the airport. We used two rooms over two short stays, the room in the old building had much more old, high-ceiling colonial style character than the functional new rooms at the back. The spa was clean and well equipped with helpful staff, sauna & steam rooms, treatment room and a small indoor swimming pool with loungers and jacuzzi. Reception staff were helpful and most spoke pretty good English and French which was appreciated.

The restaurant on the top floors was very disappointing and is the reason for the 8 rating. Roast chicken was so overcooked as to be inedible. Buffet style breakfasts downstairs were okay but not great. Rooms have fans but no AC.

I have known this hotel for years and it was always a crucial point of my stay. 5 meters from the Opera and in the middle of the Candelaria. This time I have also had a fabulous view. In addition, this time the hotel had an excellent public relations manager, Alejandra. We had a small problem that she was able to sort out brilliantly and quickly. I complement the new generation of the hotel staff that is reaching the World standard.

Waiting time. This is getting better in comparison with the previous years but it is still a subject for improvement. I understand the formalities but for many people coming from Europe or other continents the most important is to get the room. I accept the rules on the checking in but still the hotel always has flucutating departure time therefore more customised approach would be welcomed. In addition, I believe that water should be available for the guests if they need to wait hours and hours.

For us, the location was perfect. We were on a street that was closed to traffic so it was quiet. It was in walking distance of all of the museums and other sites. It was not close to nightlife so if that is important this may not be for you but taxis were inexpensive if you wanted to go for more upscale restaurants or nightlife. We liked the local places on candalaria. The room was comfortable and a nice breakfast.

It was the worst shower I have ever encountered

It was just a great romantic hotel, in the center of the historical town. We were lucky as we had a room with a street view. not all rooms have that, but even then I do think it fantastic hotel. can recommend it to anyone, as long as you realize that Bogota is a big city and that when your appointments are not nearby you will be in taxis a lot.

Breakfast was good, but could have been a bit more sophisticated, including natural yoghurt.

Lovely hotel in the best location in Candelaria, next to the opera house on a quiet pedestrian only street with many historic buildings and near to museums and Bolivar Square. (For me, Candelaria has the most character of any area in Bogota, and I never felt unsafe at any hour.) The staff is friendly and professional, and the facilites are outstanding, including a spa and swimming pool. It's more expensive than other options in Candelaria, but you get what you pay for.

Nothing.

The location! It was walking distance to all tourist attractions.

Don't expect a 5-star hotel. Not at all! Was it bad? No! Would I come back? Yes! But it is not to the level of 5-star hotel by any means, by any means. The only 5 or even 6-star aspect is the location. The rest -amenity, breakfast, staff, ....-is a 3-star hotel. Still good and acceptable but adjust your expectations!!!

This hotel is situated perfectly just in the heart of the old city. Our room was quiet, nice and comfortable, just the bathroom needs some repair. Breakfast needs a serious improvement as far as variety and quality of food is concerned and especially service. Reception desk - really nice stuff.

Breakfast was very scarce and the shelves constantly empty. We ordered fried eggs and had to wait really long. some of the facilities in the bathroom did not work properly.
