What this place lacked in amenities, Jose definitely made up for! He was super friendly & very kind. It's clear that he keeps a watchful eye on things. He helped me park, offered to help with my bag, and made recommendations for where to head for dinner on a budget. He was wonderful! I think the description makes it clear that there is no pool, hot water, TV, coffee maker or microwave. There is just a fridge & a shared kitchen, but it is well-equipped & clean. The gardens and places to sit are lovely. AC was an additional $6 and worked well % access to the beach is fantastic!

The location is great, opposite the beach and beach restaurants and short walk to everywhere. Next door to the supermarket and a vegan cafe. My room had air con which was pretty necessary when I was there but maybe if you have a room on the higher level that gets a bit more breeze you won't need it. The woman who owns the hotel is really interesting, try to have a chat with her.

My room was looking a bit tired, obviously hard to maintain with the humidity.

I was great to have access to the communal kitchen to prepare our meals. A good way to save a bit of money as prices are quire high in Tamagringo.The relaxedatmosphere and tropical gardens were great. The staff, particularly Jose and Cezar were very nice. And of course, just acrosd the road from the beach!

A few ants would come out at night in the bathroom upon turning on the lights. Noisy neighbouring nightclubs on the week-end. Make sure to bring earplugs!

Amazing location! The beach is right in front. The shared kitchen is good, and the rooms are good value for money considering it's Tamarindo.

Roosters in the property! Why would you have roosters in the same property where you are running a hotel? The roosters start at 4 am in the morning. Even if you are not a light sleeper, there is no way you can make it through their wake up call!

I love the privacy, the green zones, the staff... The connection of nature in general was amazing. The hens & the cockerel roaming around clacking without being noisy in the morning, the bouganvilleas, the cicadas, the quiteness, the "folkloric" style of the property that makes you feel in a authentic rural Costa Rican bungalow. The seafront view, the access. It is beautiful. In terms of the room, it was private and secure. It has a latch from the inside that makes virtually impossible to someone break in at night if that's a concern for you. The aircon & the shower worked perfectly. The Cable TV was fine and it was very clean.

We had an amazing day stay, the room was regularly clean everyday , staff was amazing to help with Information and also in the night the security was brilliant. The location is amazing just across the road from the beach, close to amazing restaurants as well. Everything you need is on your door step.

EXCELLENT location in Tamarindo!!! The hotel is located right accross the street from an excellent beach in downtown Tamarindo. Walking distance to restaurants bars and surf shops. The property is lined with mango trees that were bearing fruit when I visited. The property owner is extremely friendly and we were free to eat as many mangoes as we could! There are monkeys in the trees and iguanas come to feed in the garden every morning. The rooms are set back from the road so there was no traffic noise.

Everything was within or exceeded expectations so while this is not a complaint about the property the rooms are basic...but comfortable. If you're expecting a super deluxe room you wont find it here. However outside each room was a personal hammock and community kitchen for preparing simple meals and community dining and sitting areas made up for the basic room. This made for meeting other guests and socializing so worked out great

The hotel grounds were beautiful and the it was just across the road from the beach. Coincidentally, it was next door to the next door to the Iguana Surf Shop were we had signed up for a surf lesson, and 2 doors down from a great breakfast place, Breakfast Grinds. Seeing iguanas and a Howler monkey on the property was nice.

The rooms are spartan and chair to go with the small desk would have been nice. The lack of hot water was disappointing initially, but after a hot day in the sun the cold shower was actually welcome. Our room only had a ceiling fan which was adequate to keep use cool at night. However, we visited at the end of December when the weather was a little cooler (75-80 F). During the hotter season, the fan alone may not have been adequate to get a good night sleep. The onsite chickens are cute but the rooster is a little much when he starts to crow a 5 o'clock in the morning (just a little of the local culture we found amusing).

It felt very much like home, the kitchen is well equipped. You have a lovely terrace in front of your room and Mangos falling from the tree for you to eat. The place is very quiet and relaxing and close to the beach. The employes are very friendly. I extended my stay a few times because i liked it there.

The double rooms are much smaller than described on booking com, I personally found them too small, but fortunately was able to moove to a bigger one which then I liked a lot.

Everything! the staff was very nice and helpful, there was ac and hot water. plus there was a refrigerator in the room. they gave us an option to store our bags until we were ready to leave and an option to use a shower and bathroom if we wanted to go to the beach even though we checked out.
