Great location just a few minutes walk to the main street. the main bus stop and the beach and shops and adjacent to cafes and with their own very popular restaurant in front for evening dining. The pool was refreshing, with lounge chairs and tables in the central area surrounded by trees and plants. The staff were fabulous, as was the breakfast with tasty different options from omelette to fruit and granola, tico breakfast and more. Great coffee. The bed was okay and firm, just not quite up to the quality of typical American hotels. The room aircon was sufficient and quiet and there was a TV on the wall and a large bar fridge It is an excellent small, quiet well situated hotel and i would stay there again. should we revisit Tamarindo for another overnight trip, Definitely recommended.

There are no glasses or cups in the room for evening drinks. (although it is possible that they may provide them if asked).

When we arrived the receptionist was super friendly and attentive, helping us check in a little early and storing our luggage whilst we explored a little of Tamarindo as they finished off the room. The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned! the bathroom was also super clean and overall, the room was brilliant value. the pool was so pretty and the outside common area felt super private and relaxing. just a quick walk down the road and you're in Tamarindo or at the beach. Would highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and empathetic. Always smiling. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious. ALL the staff were honest and went out of their way to help. Genisus at the reception, the cook, Rebecca, and the cleaners Marie and Mary were all the BEST!! Enjoyed them and they became like family during our 15 day stay

The room could have better showers and amenities like a kettle etc.

I loved the location of the hotel. It was quiet at night and away form the nightclubs . The breakfast was outstanding with high quality foods, including natural yoghurt, sourdough toast, eggs and a wide selection of other foods. They had a lovely quirky garden and reception area , ideal for my writing and lovely pool to dip in. The main Italian restaurant at the front of the building was outstanding with excellent house specials and a wide choice of cuisines to suit all tastes.

Beautiful and peaceful stay. Breakfast was incredible, there were multiple options. Ex. Passionfruit smoothie bowl, blueberry pancakes, an omlette with spinach, onion, etc. The grounds were stunning with a palazzo style pool and so much detail put into the overall aesthetic of the hotel. They obviously take a lot of pride into the hotel and the Italian restaurant is a gem.

Very good service . Staff was so friendly and caring .The facilites very clean . Has a clean good sized pool .it was close to the center 5 min walk .. breakfast was just perfect . They have an italian restaurant ( outside of hotel) the food was delicious .. 20 out 10 . BEST AFFORDABLE HOTEL IN TAMARINDO ..

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We loved the location. So close to the beach, but a couple of blocks up, so away from the noise. We had a problem (with hot water), and it was addressed and fixed within about 25 minutes. We loved it here!

This hotel is run by a lovely family. There are many breakfast options and everything I tried was great! The family went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, booking a shuttle to my next destination in Costa Rica for me, and even serving breakfast to me earlier than usual on the day of my departure. There's also a nice pool which is a great place to relax and meet other travelers.

Very delicious breakfast and very nice people Beautiful garden and perfectly located in Tamarindo Nice room and bathroom I felt very welcome and comfortable at Hotel Boruca I would definitely come back for a second stay :)

No possibility to hang dresses / jackets in the wardrobe, just laying You can hear everything from outside of your room

We loved the location. It was walking distance from town and the beach but it was off of the main street so it wasn’t loud! We also loved the very kind and helpful staff
