The location was perfect, central to everything you want to do/eat in the city. can walk to literally everything. The room is huge and love that there is a kitchen and different areas. AC works great and hot water in the shower. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had an easy stay. Answered any any all questions I had from how to get to and from the city, helped me get to urgent care, find a pharmacy, and over all was amazing. Can’t say enough amazing things about the staff. There is also a neighbor cat who hangs out that is super friendly and is a nice addition to the place.

The bed isn’t the most comfortable and the pillows on the bed are massive. But from talking to other people in town the pillows are common so that will happen almost anywhere you stay. The towels are also on the older side.

Had all you needed and was clean.

The muddy road it was on. Its a much smaller place than in the pictures. Only 5 units. Thought it would be closer to the beach but its not too far. 2 good restaurants are on the same street.

Hotel Gardenia is a boutique hotel with 5 vila-style rooms. We stayed in room number 2, which I highly recommend, as it is detached from the other rooms, so it's like having a little airbnb to yourself. This is also the case with room number 1. The room is spacious and clean. It is equipped with a small kitchen (hobb, microwave, sink and full sized fridge freezer). The living room has a tv with youtube and other apps. It also has a dining table. The bathroom was nice and clean, with space to hang towels, which is always appreciated. The bedroom is modern, equipped with AC and a spacious wardrobe area and plenty of hangers. The swimming pool is of good size and the night lights look beautiful on. Located within 10 minutes from Tamarindo centre and 3 minutes away from the Saturday Market and the Tamarindo Night Market, but away from the loudness of the crowds. Location 10/10!

The outdoor furniture was very dirty, it needs to be cleaned in order for guests to be able to use it. The swimming pool was also dirty and the water was very cold. We cleaned the swimming pool ourselves with the leaf net the was on the side.

Nicely located in walking distance to Tamarindo beach and close to Restaurants, supermarket etc., good communication with owner/ hotel staff, clean apartment and nice pool to relax.

The shower was a bit hard to handle as you have to hold the shower hand the whole time and parking is a bit tricky as the road isn’t paved. But those are only small things, all in all a wonderful stay.

loved the cool in the room, the bed with comfy pillows, the pool and satisfying kitchen equipments. loved the safe, wardrobe with hangers and the folded towels

the cold shower (but it’s personal preference) and the terrace and villa 3 we have to step on itchy rocks to get to the sits

it’s in an amazing location, next to top rated restaurants and services (we went scuba diving) and a great little supermarket for all the essentials. having a full kitchen made all the difference too.

Sadly water rationing meant we had a very short spell with no water, but it made very little difference to us and the owners were very clear and helpful.

I loved everything about this property- the check in, the communication, the beds were so comfortable, the studio space was perfect, shower is clean, pool is clean, and the best part is the birds chirping!

The unit directly underneath me had their own ash tray with filled of cigarettes butts. I was greeted by the scent of Marlboro cigarettes coming from my downstairs neighbor. I immediately asked management about this and they said “he was a old tenant and will send him a message.” Stayed 3 nights and didn’t smell his cigarettes last 2 nights. Thank you for following your own hotel rules of Non- smoke property.

amazing host ! super simple and helpful checkin instructions. allowed us to check in early and check out late when my girlfriend was unwell. lovely little shared pool, and tucked away area form the road/noise. very well equipped with kitchen stuff. including coffee machine. 2 sets of towels, lots of storage. summary: we loved it !! 🙂

We loved our stay at the Hotel Gardenia, we already stayed here before and enjoyed it so much. the location is great ,in the little quiet street of the Main Street walking distance from everywhere. This year the appartements got upgraded with new kitchen , big fridge and some other handy kitchen supplies ( toaster, blender to make smoothies…) the place is clean every day and supplied with fresh towels. reception stuff was very friendly and organized.

The pool was really nice and clean. Went in it everyday. Super quiet and low key. Rooms were very well air conditioned, super clean and had all amenities you need to feel right at home.

Personally the pillows on the bed were too big and fluffy. The bed itself was a bit lived in and springy.
