A really lovely and modern hotel which is elegantly decorated. It sits on a complex with other hotels from the same chain in a peaceful forested area with a few beaches away from the city. There are buses to the old town or it is a short 10 min ride in a taxi (I would recommend using Uber which costs about €7 - we found with regular taxis the price could differ from €18 to €30 which was both insane and infuriating. Ubers arrive very quickly.) Between the hotel and the old town there is also a part of the city with restaurants and bars. The complex itself has a few shops, bars, and restaurants and a really nice holiday vibe to it. The pool is fantastic, and my son and I really enjoyed the water slides. There is a nice poolside bar plus a restaurant. My son loved the kid's zone Maro World which has PS5/X-Box, Lego, trampolines, and a soft play. I believe they also offer a kid's club where you can leave your children all day however we didn't use it. The breakfast is really extensive with lots of choice including freshly made omelettes to your specification. We didn't have an evening meal but it looked nice. The bar area of the hotel is also very relaxing with a large outdoor terrace. The staff were friendly and the hotel upgraded our room free-of-charge on arrival. They also let us check-out a little bit later as our check-out date fell on my birthday. We only stayed for 3 nights as we were travelling around Croatia but this was the one hotel we ended up wishing we'd stayed at for longer. We were visiting out of season and would love to one day return for a longer stay in summer, although Dubrovnik old town was perfect to visit in October.

Excellent hotel facilities, room was decorated beautifully and wonderful view of the sea, looked exactly as the photos. Pool area was superb and was our favourite part of the holiday. Pool towels free with key card and you will be given temp card on check out day if you still need towel for pool. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Fridge in room and tea/coffee/kettle were extremely helpful and welcomed. Location close to many restaurants, we'd recommend Asia based near hotel and the Pull Over restaurant in Lapad. There is a promenade walk that starts by Valamar President hotel that follows the coastline down to Lapad. Absolutely stunning views and pleasant walk, alternatively 20 min walk along main road to Lapad which has a lovely beach and town. Bus 7 from bus station to Babin Kuk/hotel area if you are arriving from other part of Croatia, or Bus 6 which is a circular that takes you up and down from Dubrovnik old town every 15 mins, and is roughly 15 min journey. We walked to the old town in 45-50 mins, which again had great views to take in. We loved this hotel and the area. Staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. Perfect holiday.

Hotel serve warm breakfast up to 10.00, then the continental until 11.00. Beware the toaster was switched off at 9.45! And selection was very slim and coffee machine was out of action for at least 15 mins. But don't let this put you off, it's a great hotel and great breakfast up to 10.

Bright, clean hotel with friendly staff and excellent facilities for families. Our kids enjoyed Maro World, Trampoline park and Kids pool and slides. Breakfast buffet was very nice and we also dined in the other restaurants in the Valamar complex. Bus stop nearby brings you to old town Dubrovnik for €2. There was a power outage in the area on one day (no air con) and the restaurant manager gave our kids free ice cream which they still talk about!

The glass bathroom doors are heavy to open and can catch little fingers quite easily. Bar staff in the lobby could do with some extra training as they didn’t seem to know how to make the cocktails on the menu, these were also very expensive.

Maro world was great for our 3-year old kid and offered plenty of entertainment throughout the day. The food at the pool restaurant was delicious and the staff very friendly. The room was nice and clean and spacious enough for a family of 3. Great to have the possibility to use the facilities of the other Valamar Hotels next to ours. Very easy public transport access to the old town, but would recommend to get up early as the bus gets full later. The promenade offers a lovely walk with lots of restaurants. I would come again as it is great for kids.

The cleaning staff kept knocking and entering the room despite having a "do not disturb" sign up, which was very annoying. The room is quite noisy, you can hear music from outside and neighbours. One of our neighbours snored and it sounded like it was in our room. Any furniture being moved will be audible in the room as well. The balcony gave very little privacy as it was right beside a window to the walkways inside. The spa area has 3 additional saunas, which is great. However there is a mould problem in the spa room which did not invite to stay and relax. Would also recommend to avoid the private beach clubs outside as they are pricey.

Loved the kids facilities, pool & slides. Breakfast was really varied and tasty. Our room for 3 of us was spacious and really clean with great facilities. We were also offered a free late check out as we had a late flight to catch which really made a difference to a short stay here.

The location made sense as you can't have all of this great stuff being really close to the old town and city, certainly not at an price we would pay, but obviously it would have been nicer to have been nearer. That said there is a very frequent (very busy) bus that does run past the hotel to the old town.

Beautiful hotel, nice facilities, beach very close. Employees were friendly and the breakfast buffet was very nice. We got a nice upgrade as it was our honeymoon, so thank you for that. Despite that everything was expensive, we enjoyed our stay there and can recommen it.

The restaurants and shops on site, very very expensive and we do not recommend them from the quality either. Bar employee has no clue what she is doing, look most of the time lost and took very long to prepare the drinks even though there were no customers.

The food was great. Very friendly staff The swimming pool was good and had slides for kids.

- The check out is too early 10 am . This may cause inconvenience for families with kids. - The entertainment is not great specially for kids. - The music at the swimming pool were out of date , didn’t spark the vibe.

Everything. the rooms are good, big beds, comfortable, big tv all modern, hotel is very clean and smells really nice all the time weirdly lol. breakfast was excellent, as was the food in the restaurants. grounds around the hotel are great. maro world is ridiculously good for kids and adults. the pool and pool erea is really good, kids bit, and slides, staff was all very nice and helpful. it was myself, my 1-year-old boy and his mum, we are already looking at going back with our other kids. you also get use other the other close by valamar hotels. old town 15 mins on the 6 bus outside hotel easy stuff. would be nuts to stay in old town with kids imo Bottom line 1 of my favourite hotels I've stayed in and would 100000% stay at this place if you are visiting dubrovnik, thank you to the hotel and staff for a really memorable holiday. we will be back 😉🇭🇷❤️

Perfect for families, breakfast was amazing, good choice of things to do with kids - our daughter LOVED Maro World - and the slides, of course..!

Some of the rooms are not very private but your lovely staff moved us to a better room so all good.

We were treated really well. Everything in the hotel was super-well organized. For those who do not have the dinner, there is 12min walk to the nearest market. Also, you can use very close bus station for connection to the city center (no 6) or with the main station (no 7). We used three types of accommodation during our holiday, so I know there are better and cleaner beaches than Copacabana. It is beautiful scenery there, perfect sunset. But...what a pity people cannot take care of their own mess on the beach. In the city it is worse than in the countryside. Anyway it has nothing to do with the hotel. The pool at the hotel was relaxing, there were always free sunbeds available.
