The location was really good, outside the tourist area but very easy to get to the center, the view of the pools was amazing too. We had a massage and the spa was great and also the service was perfect

It look a bit worn down like the chairs at the pool were not the best state, also bed sheets were clean but with old stains and little balls in the fabric which makes you think they were used for years!

lots of pool beds available. all staff so friendly and accomodating. buffet breakfast good and lots of variety. we had travelled all they way from Australia and got engaged the day prior in Greece. Our next stop was Dubrovnik. Unfortunately the accomodation we booked prior to the Valamar was terrible so we actually left and booked the Valamar argosy. When staff at the Valamar learnt we had just got engaged they upgraded our room and also arranged a surprise bottle of Champagne and rose petals for our room. We are so thankful to the staff at Valmamar for making us feel so special and also making us forget about the not so nice introduction we had to the start of our trip at Dubrovnik. We are actually glad our original accomodation didn’t turn out so well and that we made the change and got to experience Valamar Argosy :)

Amazing views and facilities. Breakfast buffet very tasty and lots of choice of food. We opted for buffet dinner one night and the other night ala carte - both very very good quality of food.

Ala carte dinner experience- we were sitting outside when weather changed from bad to worse. We have communicated to the waiter that we were cold and we would like to move inside or at least to more sheltered area. The waiter informed us he could not accommodate that because it would confused staff and kitchen service and that only guests who opted for buffet are allowed indoors or on the sheltered terraced. This was very disappointing to hear and were very surprised he did not offer any alternative. Our evening was practically ruined. Another aspect that we did not like was lack of pool service, cheap paper cups for drinks and limited choice of cocktails in the pool area.

Location was very good,15minutes from old city by bus (bus stop is in front of the hotel) and if U want to relax and indulge yourself with comfort it’s better to stay away of the main sightseeing places, hotel is near the see with pools and good facilities . very good and tasty breakfast and recommend to have dinner at the hotel (it’s buffet dinner and costs 30euro per person except drinks). also in the evenings you can chill out and listen to live music in the garden. everything was just great,highly recommend

the only small discomfort was no wifi by the pool but comparing to all other advantages it can’t be mentioned

Everything about this property was fantastic. It was a large hotel but never felt overcrowded anywhere due to the many seating areas and plenty of sunloungers around the pool areas. The rooms were very large and comfortable with a nice balcony with views of the sea. The staff were very nice in the hotel, particularly at reception and breakfast time. The selection at breakfast was very good which a great choice, can be very busy there between 9am and 10am but that is to be expected. The location is also good, close to many beaches and you can use the neighbouring hotels (Dubrovnik president hotel) access to beach for a small fee to get a sun longer, umbrella and towel for the day. The stop for the shuttle bus to Dubrovniks old town was also located outside this hotel which is 1-2 mins away from the hotel. The views from this hotel were breathtaking. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel with beautiful view. This trip was a birthday gift for my mother and they surprised her with flowers, also bottle of wine was waiting in her room, which was really nice :) Breakfast was really good and with good variety. The view from the pool was breathtaking.

Beach was so crowded, there weren’t any place to be. Sunbeds were very expencive: 50€ day for one bed for one person and there was no place to put just your blanket. My friend stayed in another 5* hotel near this hotel and the sunbeds were free.

Very nice and spacious hotel, there were three outdoor pools and an indoor pool which was great. We actually got a better room than the one the one we booked, so thanks for that! :) The view from the pool area of the hotel was AMAZING! There is a bus stop just a few minutes walk from the hotel, with buses passing every 15 minutes to the old town (it's about a 20 minutes drive by bus to Pile Gate).

Breakfast was the same everyday, would love some diversity. The water in the pool was freezing cold! The hotel does not have a beach. We went to the Presiden Hotel's beach but had to pay for the sunbeds.

Amazing breakfast buffet tasty with lots of variety. Fabulous views from the poolside area, nice areas for seating. Two infinity pools, a paddling pool and an indoor pool as well. You can access the private beach of the sister hotel next door. Coral beach club and Copacabana are 10 min walk away. Lovely and helpful staff, spacious and clean. Big balcony, decent sized rooms. I liked the fact that it was outside the old town whilst still accessible with the number 6 bus literally 2 mins away from the hotel. Old Town is only 15 mins away on the bus and you can buy bus tickets in the hotel cheaper than the bus itself. Lapud promanade is a short walk away which is nice for a stroll with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel has a smaller restaurant serving lunch options near the two pools I woukd 100% recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a decent hotel in dubrovnik not directly in the old town. Loved it! No complementry water bottles in the rooms.

The pools with views and ample poolside deck chairs with umbrellas were a highlight. Rooms were clean and air conditioned. Close to bus station and easy access into the Old Town of Dubrovnik.

Overall staff was helpful and pleasant, however for a few individuals, communication style could be improved when dealing with western culture. Abruptness is not polite in our culture. Unfortunately on our last day we ate at the poolside snack bar and later suffered from food poisoning (3/4 family members-common food was vegetables). I am not sure how things are refrigerated or if food handlers are aware of cross contamination. I would avoid eating there. We had no issues at the indoor buffet for the entire week.

Gorgeous pools and views, comfortable beds. No shortage of sun loungers, very clean facilities. Used the gym on site and great facility. Very clean!

Breakfast food is as great but for the price, I would have to expected barista coffee and complimentary fresh juices but instead machine and diluted orange. Also TV was dated in the room, being able to have smart app options would have been nice. Also water filters on site to avoid high use of plastic bottles would be a great addition!
