Very nice historic hotel in the old town/palace. Nice room with air con and very clean. Very convenient for all the sites of Split Good continental breakfast with plenty of seats and tables. I ate in the hotel restaurant two nights as it was good value Staff and reception helpful

Bed dipped slighty in the middle although I slept well. Confusion over timings of breakfast etc as card with door card pass said one time but room folder said 30 minutes later. A little difficult to find on arrival, a lot of local shops and restaurants hadn't heard of the hotel but found it eventually ! maybe a more detailed map should be sent by email with the street layouts !

Excellent location right in the centre of the Palace, near the port and all the main sites and restaurants/bars. Comfotable beds. Lovely bathroom. Fantastic breakfast with cooked eggs option, fresh orange juice etc..

Our request for beds wasn't taken into account, had one room with twin beds rather than a double, but this was rectified for the second night. Disappointing given we had booked 9 months in advance with options clearly given to booking.com (hotel manager said she hadn't been given the bed preferences from booking.com). Very unfriendly member of staff to check us in (ignored us to chat with another member of staff for some time then looked at me and shouted documents, then proceeded to lie about what beds were in the rooms). However, note that all other members of staff were very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Air con in one room not very cool at all. Quite noisy until early hours of the morning due to location near bars.

The location is great! Directly in the center of the old palace. Lots of good food options nearby and easy to get to sights and the promenade. Breakfast is pretty good. The staff are very helpful and kind. The room has all the basics that you need. AC works really well to keep the room cool during the day

It is a little hard to find the hotel at first because of the different paths through the city. Once you figure it out it's not so bad. The room I had was quite small. This is as advertised but it really becomes noticable once you arrive. Still comfortable enough though

Single room was clean and towels changed every day. Big shower cubicle and soaps/shampoos provided. No room safe. The view was over adjacent tiled roof and the outer wooden shutters (from the inner upvc window) was pretty much unopenable. The curtain nettings were not a matching colour. The bed was bigger than a single and comfy. Breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant and there was good selection of fruits, cereals, yoghurts and cold meats. Coffee/Tea were served as was the eggs, omlettes as required. Location was excellent. There are plenty of beaches around the point from the harbour and some lovely walks in the other direction to the Marjan peninsula. Super!

Everything was fine for me. The steps up to the hotel might be a problem for access for some.

Nicely, renovated hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, central location, quiet in winter time. We had a nice big terrace with a view. The decoration is sober, the equipment is fine. The heating in the room functioned very well. Both the room and the bathroom are spacious and very clean, Beds are confortable, slightly too soft for my taste (memory mattress). Will certainly come again. Some simple things couild be improved and then it would deserve a higher mark.

The floor heating or some other way of heating in the bathroom would have been appreciated. A facility to make own tea or coffee would be a great improvement , Just a simple kettle. The restaurant downstairs ( we had a good breakfast, self-service combined with a waiter service) looks cosy, but could be better heated. It would probably be perfect in summer.

Location , Location , Location !!! cant be beat. Its a 3 star hotel with 5 star service. Firstly THANK YOU Zlecko (Jacob) for excellent customer service. His tips were spot on ! I had to stay in two different rooms 302 and 102 both had terraces . I highly recommend booking a room with one. the other 20 rooms had one window and can be cave like too claustrophobic for me. Unless you plan to be out all day This seems to be an issue with some folks so here it goes BEST WATER PRESSURE !! It will take out every grain of sand off your scalp . If your taller then 5'5 room 102 ( albeit a lovely terrace ) will be a problem . The ceiling were tub is situated is low. Tips : Skip the public beach. Bacvice. Although its walkable (if your fit ) . Its very ghetto. The sand is an ashtray, cigarette buds everywhere. Graffiti. The water is very shallow so you have to walk far to get the water to your thighs. Not to mention the water is soiled at the edge . Walk to St . Frances Church at end or promenade. Take Uber cost me $6 USD took 6 minutes ( don't try walking it no sidewalks on road) to Gorgeous beach KASJUNI Beach. There is Joes Bar , you can rent a comfortable lounge chair with table and umbrella for $26 USD for the day. So worth it when the sun gets brutal and you need refuge. You can order food , cocktails, drinks Bathroom too. Do not try taking uber from near ports it will have to drive all around back of city to get to there, longer ride, traffic and if you get car sick like me ,its an issue ! Dinner : Reservations is a most for PORTIFINO , BOKERIA. Best Gelatos with longest line was Mare.

Keep in mind this is the oldest hotel in Split. And it is a 3 star hotel. So there are limited or no amenities No SAFES , water kettle , coffee maker, refrigerator (except in rooms with terrace) , USB ports. It has bars all around, which can be rather noisy unless your a heavy sleeper this might be an issue. The windows are thick . I heard nothing up in 302 but more noisy in 102. The breakfast was very disappointing. Having come from a 5 star hotel in Dubrovnick with the best breakfast I've ever had this was more then a let down very sad 2 choices of meat , 2 dry cereals , eggs made to order. Also they had milk & yogurt I would not touch since it was sitting out 3-4 hours and NOT ON ICE. 2-3 fruits .

The terrace, the location and the breakfast. The comfort of the double bed. All the staff (front desk, breakfast staff and cleaners) were extremely kind, patient and knowledgeable. The room was a good size and there was a fridge which was a bonus. The location is spectacular! Right in the old town but quiet.

The single bed in the triple room was quite hard and very narrow for an adult, perhaps it would have been OK for a child.

Very fast resolving of issues. Helpful service. High room cleanness standard (bathroom especially). Great location, discount in the hotel restaurant for guests. Possibility to have take away breakfasts in case of going somewhere early.

1. On Booking it was mentioned one can pay in EUR cash for stay while service asked to do it in HRK, which was worse for the guest (bigher cost, extra effort to exchange money). 2. No vegetables served for breakfasts except olives. Would be nice to eat tomatoes, cucumbers, green salad.

Located in the old town taxi can only go so far so have to walk the final 200 meters which was ok for us but might be a problem if you have difficulties walking. That said the location is superb right in the old town and surrounded by shops bars and restaurants. We had a room with 3 beds which was large and spacious. Great buffet style breakfast and good (strong) coffee in the restaurant below.

This isn't a didn't like but you do have to walk with your luggage about 200 meters from the harbour side as vehicles can not get right to the hotel, its in a pedestrian area. It was OK for us.

Location was amazing and had a room with a terrace which was fabulous!

The breakfast was not very organised. The staff were very pleasant but it wasn’t clear how to order ie no one directed us to a table or gave us a menu or offered tea and coffee etc - would have been much better to have someone managing the breakfast area in order for it to run smoothly.
