We stayed in the annexe room which although was some way from the hotel it suited us perfectly. It’s in an excellent location where you feel you’re in the heart of the city but extremely quiet and peaceful. Definitely value for money, so many choices to eat on your doorstep, food heaven. The team at the hotel were polite and helpful, we will must definitely be back, hopefully next year!! Thank you Kastel 1700

the hotel Kastel cannot have a better position, it is right on the promenade in the port and offers beautiful views. the rooms are modestly decorated but comfortable and clean. the personnel is friendly and helpful. and the breakfast is very varied, with fresh fruit, cheeses and salamis and hams, and eggs and breads.

the little street leading to the hotel is a bit... well.. unwelcoming and smelly. the wifi was really bad and kept disconnecting. and there is no lift, only stairs, which wasnt a problem for me, because i only had a small suitcase. in every case, the staff is very helpful and kindly helps with the suitcase. there is a music bar just under the hotel and plays loud music until late, however the windows filter the sound quite well, so i didnt have trouble sleeping. what did wake me up were the housekeeping ladies being loud at 0725 on a sunday. and the price was a little bit too much, but i think its my fault for booking last minute in full season..

This is a small boutique hotel within the walls of Diocletians Palace which dates back 1700 years. It is not a fancy resort, but a priceless experience far better than staying at a resort in Split. the location could not be better. The rooms were clean and equipped. The AC was awesome. The hotel staff were so warm, welcome and helpful. Take a tour to learn about Diocletian’s Palace to truly appreciate the location and the opportunity. Would definitely stay again.

Check in was simple and the staff was super helpful, even bringing up our bags up the stairs to our room. The location was excellent and convenient. The room and bathroom was clean and I appreciated that there were extra blankets in the closet.

Shampoo and body wash was provided but I would have appreciated conditioner as well! There was also only just enough for one person (good thing we brought our own, or we would have asked). It's too bad there was no elevator to bring our bags up but that is part of the structure of the building, can't be helped.

This is a very cute hotel with an excellent location. It's very close to all the restaurants, stores, grocery store, exchange money and the palace. I would like to give a big shout out to Mariana. She was very kind and helpful when my husband got sick. She called the tourist emergency and got everything set up for us. Highly recommend it!

It's a little pricey, but I found out that Croatia is very expensive everywhere you go. They have the same breakfast everyday, maybe they could change a couple things daily. Overall was a fantastic stay.

Family of 4 staying in Split for the first time, this place was perfect! The hosts immediately made friends with our children, making them feel at home and kept our bags the day we checked out all day so we could explore more. The room was the annex of the hotel, a short walk away but very spacious and clean, more like an apartment with a kitchen. We could have easily stayed for several nights comfortably. It was right in the centre of the old town but very quiet, you wouldn't know it! We parked our car in their car park which was a walk away due to pedestrianised centre, they were super helpful with this. We felt very safe here, with 9 and 4yo walking around at night, such a great city with very accommodating hosts.

No bad things to say! The parking was a little walk but we didn't mind, it was a lovely walk and we saw peacocks! Just may be a concern for others booking. You are in the centre of old town so it was expected.

First off, I want to be fair: it is not a boutique hotel but a good 3* one (I was in the main building, not in the annex). I and my party expected much more just because of the word "boutique". It is a small addapted 3 or 4 story house in the main wonderful old part of the city where cars, including taxis, cannot access (so if you don't like or can carry luggage for around 200 mts, ask for help). I didn't opt for breakfast, so I cannot comment on it. Everything was super clean every day, complementary tea and coffee. The personnel may look a bit unengaged but are very nice indeed. WiFi worked pretty well, and also TV. I would rate it 9-9.5 for a 3* hotel. Money-value (125 euro/night) rate could be better (In my case, I think the "location" was a big part of the value).

The double rooms are pretty small and so are the single beds (70-80cm), nevertheless comfortable - not for large bodies- and clean. I had a double bed and it was very good. The entrance is on an almost 1st floor by staircase and also the rooms. No lift (understandable because of the architecture itself).

Right in the middle of old town Split and lots of room for two people. AC worked well and all was as advertised

Not that I didn’t like anything but I wasn’t expecting the apartment to be separate from the hotel address. It worked well though because the staff carried our luggage and helped us to the apartment after checking in at the hotel. All in all a great experience.

Location is perfect for exploring the old city center and the staff is very kind and helpful. We reserved for one night but then extended our stay because the room was very nice, pretty, clean and comfortable and we wanted to see more of Split, which is very alive and beautiful even in November. I will definitely go back, when I am in Split again.

Hotel parking is pretty far away, so I would recommend that you park somewhere near, do the check-in and then repark the car if you have a lot of luggage. And also the access to hotel is a little bit unpractical, because of the very slippery stairs. But that’s kinda expected since the hotel is located in the old center and they can’t do much about it.

The room was very clean. Had a small but very functional bonus living space. The sea views from the room where exceptional. I could sit looking at these all day! The hotel was in a perfect location. Easy access to everything. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

The WiFi did not work in all areas of the apartment.
