Excellent location near the Old Town and near good food places. Trams came right outside. We were just a 10 minute walk from where our tours started. For the price, the room was good and the bathroom was fairly big. The shower was powerful. Staff were really helpful and nice! Someone on reception 24/7 to help.

Our keys to our room stopped working multiple times during our short stay so we’d have to go all the way down to reception from the 5th floor each time. The shower was cold on the last day. There is no air con, only fans.

- The hostel exceeded all expectations. I don't know what could be better. - Helpful staff, we checked in before 2 pm and gave us a towel. - Excellent location in the center, 10 minutes to the chimes. - Bathroom for 2 rooms, cleanliness everywhere, fresh bed linen of the same color. - Entrance from the illuminated street. There is an elevator - Spacious kitchen with living room, many tables, enough utensils. - There are several luggage storage rooms in the room.

As I already wrote, a wonderful place. I don't know what else you can expect from a hostel. Maybe a small drawback is the noise of cars from the street. But this is for those who pay attention to it.

If you are planning to visit Prague, don’t hesitate to stay at Hostel Downtown! Why? The hostel has a great location, it is a 5 minute walk from the beautiful city center of Prague. Also, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They offer FREE walking tours and will be available 24/7 for anything you might need. If you are lucky enough to meet Fran, one of the volunteers she is a friendly, warm and welcoming person who will have organized amazing activities like paddle boat down the canals at sunset. For all the great activities waiting for you, JUST GO TO PRAGUE! And of course stay at this great hostel

Everything was perfect, the rooms are a good size, bed mattress and thick covers are very comfortable, and showers, toilets and kitchen area was always very clean. The staff work hard. The hostel attracts a mix of travellers from all around the world, and everybody here was very friendly and I made good friends. It's also possible to get a towel from reception which is so useful. The location is central to all the popular areas of the city. There is a convenience store and kebab/pizza place next door. Reception staff were always very helpful, especially Adriana who helped with my checkout and provided my morning coffee, 😊.

*Strategic place in the center, you feel safe at night. A lot of cool cafés around, *you dont hear the traffic outside! *I love the atmosphere and decoration, nothing sophisticated but every thing is nice and practical. The room is really big and you get an individual bed. That's awesome! It is clean and cosy, well adjusted so you can chit chat with your roommates or sit on the table and eat together. *You don't hear people using the bathroom next door! *seperate access to our room/bathroom so our neighbors cant use ours 😉 *i met extraordinary women in that hostel, the staff is nice *you can do your laundry there..

*The people staying in the Airbnb above us where horrible. I was in shock! I think they might been fighting. I tried to call the reception but the number did not work.i wrote them a message on booking. In the reception they explained thats is a separate Airbnb.. *the first night i couldnt find where to charge my phone! There were no electic plugs next to it, the closest one is used by my roommate. *The mattress was in extreme bad shape, under the sheets, we found that it was stained with blood and other fluids. I didn't report this..

I have been a frequent visitor to this hostel and have always given it excellent reviews. The staff members are pleasant and helpful. The kitchen and common areas are well equipped and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. It has washers and dryers for the use of the guests, which is a lifesaver.

At times there is very little social interaction with other guests. I'm glad it is not a party hostel, but perhaps more organized activities within the hostel would be welcome.

Loved the location! Everything was within short walking distance, even in the cold… Main tourist attractions, places to eat, or even just wander… The rooms were okay. The communal space though was huge, and more inviting - open space, colourful + a piano :) P.S. Thankful for having a hairdryer in the communal bathrooms - Signed, Desert Girl. Seriously though, it’s always handy, especially in long term travel.

Location is perfect very close to trams, metro and most attractions are in a walking distance. Plenty options of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Room was very spacious for 8 beds. The room also has a small seating area with a great window view. The toilet is in separate room from the showr, which saves lots of time in the morning. Although the room was not spot clean, it was good and warm. Clean bedding and towels. 2 plugs by the bed and a reading lamp. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The common area has a seating area to chill out with free tea and coffee, which is a very nice addition.

The daily cleaning was not the best and rather done in a rush.

Helpful staff, 24h open front desk, fully equipped kitchen and great location! I had my own towel:) You can also additionally buy breakfast on the spot for ~180 CZK. Twin room without WC= room with individual WC, but ~3m away on the corridor.

Super thin walls. Like super thin and you can literally hear anything We heard sb having sex somewhere close:) On the 5th floor there is a AirB&B, where there was a birthdayparty. We could hear every "happy birthday". Not mentioning that they broke the elevator :/

The location was great, I had an amazing view of the castle from my bedroom window (all female dorm). The beds had big plump pillows, and a good duvet. The shower was good. Every bed gets a locker. The kitchen was really well stocked: it had an oven, 4 hobs, loads of utensils (pots, pans, cutlery, cups, plates, etc.). It was kept very clean.
