Easy to find hotel right on the canal. The staff were very kind and the room was as expected. The beds were comfy and the bathroom had enough space. The windows opened into a courtyard between the buildings and was perfect for fresh air while still being quiet and private. The lobby had free coffee/tea and umbrellas available to borrow which were helpful given the unpredictable weather. We stored our bags on the last day with no issues while we continuted to explore before our evening flight home.

Key card access to the courtyard would have been convenient. Given the layout of the buildings, you had to enter from the street, go up a flight of stairs, then either take an elevator or stairs back down to ground level, walk through a hallway/courtyard, then proceed up to the guest rooms. To leave the hotel, there was a door directly from the courtyard, but it did not allow access (even with a room key) for entry. A minor inconvenience, but would have been appreciated.

Great location, helpful staff and very clean.

The shower curtain blows with the automatic fan so when showering the curtain keeps rubbing against your ass which is not nice considering all the other people it’s rubbed against. Should be a half glass wall

Everything, couldn't fault any aspect of this hotel, it would go down as one of the best hotels I've stayed at, From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and helpful, Pang in particular was was very warm and friendly there is a large comfortable eating area off the main reception with complimentary coffee and tea, we booked a family room which turned out to be one room with two separate sleeping areas, the room was spacious, spotless with a good size bathroom. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. An excellent nights sleep, location couldn't have been better, directly on the side of the canal with a number of bars and restaurants a Shortt distance away close to the main square and metro station, very good continental breakfast with a good selection to chose from. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on any future trips to Copenhagen and would wholeheartedly recommend on all fronts. A perfect stay.

The hotel is literally in the center of the city - the windows of the rooms face Nyhavn/the canal with the famous row of colourful houses. The room was small, but its size was accurate to the description Booking has shared with us before we booked the hotel. The rooms are accessible by elevator (though I'm not sure if the elevator and the corridors would be wide enough for a wheelchair). Copenhagen is an expensive city, but for the location, I think the price we paid for this hotel was acceptable - we appreciated that the hotel did not raise their prices (the staff also confirmed this) on a weekend with events that made all accommodation prices insanely expensive for that particular weekend when we visited the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

No minibar/mini fridge in the room.

Hotel Bethel is location in a very busy and touristy location. That is totally ok as we knew this when we booked the hotel. There was some street noise from a few drunks during the night but that is part of staying at a city hotel. The hotel staff is excellent and very helpful. The room size was small but much larger than many European hotels where I have stayed in more than 50 years of international travel. The hotel was spotless and we enjoyed the breakfast. There were plenty of options and the breakfast room with bright and cheerful in the morning.

I have only two complaints and both are minor and might not be an issue for others. I missed having tissues in the bathroom. I travel with small packets but having them in the room is a nice extra personal touch. I have sensitive skin and found myself itching during the night. I am guessing the laundry detergent might have caused this allergic reaction but most guests will probably not have that issue. My husband was fine so it was just my sensitive skin. We love Copenhagen and will definitely return to Hotel Bethel if we are able to visit again.

The location cannot be better. Just in the centre of the main attraction of Copenhagen: the Nyhavn. All tourist attractions are within walking distance. It is housed in an old house which has been renovated. My room and bathroom were rather small but there are larger ones. It had plugs for your computer all over the place. Matress and pillows were excellent. However, the furniture of the room was very basic. There is a large common area where you can get complimentary coffe. Wifi was reasonably fast but connection was intermitent. Take into account my room was at the end of the corridor. Breakfast is served at the ground floor. It was ok but basic. The direct metro line to the airport is 5 min walking from the hotel.

Staff at the reception could be more polite.

A comfortable and clean hotel, with very welcoming and helpful staff. The views onto Nyhavn were incredible. There was an issue with early morning construction noise outside my room that faced onto the road/harbour (soon to be finished apparently), and reception happily gave me an additional room on the quiet side of the hotel to finish my night's sleep. There was good sound insulation between rooms. The breakfast was very good too, with all the usual continental and Danish options (Baconost, anyone?). I felt very safe in the hotel as a solo woman traveller.

If you are a light sleeper, I recommend requesting a room on the courtyard side of the hotel building while the construction works outside are ongoing. The shower was also not very powerful but the bathroom was otherwise really nice.

COPENGAHEN is a very expensive city to visit so many of my comments take this into account. The location was superb, in fact could not be better. The room was very small but considering what we paid per night and the cost of an upgrade would be here or elsewhere we could not complain. Because the room was small we made good use of the lobby/common room where coffee and tea was always available. We did not purchase the breakfast option which we felt was expensive. We had breakfast elsewhere at the same price as the hotel was charging for their buffet option. We don't like buffets anywhere. All in all a solid choice and good value considering how pricey this city is.

Room size is very tight. Only one chair and not much room around the bed.

A warm welcome upon arrival set the tone for a lovely stay in this hotel and this warmth from the staff continued throughout the weekend. Beautiful characterful building with a relaxed modern comfortable interior. Location was perfect. Breakfast was lovely with a good range of food of high quality to choose from. We didn’t want to leave. Special thanks to Morgen, Pang & Miriam and latters knowledge of history of building as a charity for sailors was impressive, especially as the hotel ethos is to continue giving money to charities supporting sailors today. Very noble

The staff were brilliant. We arrived at 8am from a long haul flight and we were given a very early check in. This changed our whole first day and was greatly appreciated. The breakfast is great value for money given the area the hotel is located in. The lobby is very comfortable and open 24/7, this was a great area to sit and enjoy the view of the canal while adjusting to jet lag. We had a fantastic stay.

Our room was very clean and well maintained but very small. We were two people with two suitcases for about a month of travel and it we did have to do some manoeuvring to easily get around.
