Nice, stylish, new hotel. good location on the beach, close to downtown. mostly comfortable rooms. hotel is nice and Cosy, quite. very good breakfast. the team and the manager of that restaurant is amazing. very attentive, always trying to do better and more. the best service we have experienced.

reception team is unprofessional. from the time of check in to the check out. they just do not care. the worst thing was when we booked airport transfer for the check out, and at 6 am if our departure the transfer was not there. apparently they just forgot. even worst was the reaction of reception manager who was not planning to do anything, although we were risking to miss our flight. only after insisting, he found another car which costed much more. and only after insisting, the hotel covered the costs. Despite I have asked that management should call me upon their work day start, nobody contacted us

Wonderful experience at the Chedi El Gouna. I knew very well The Chedi brand, and wanted to try out the new hotel at Red Sea. The check-in did not start great, as my request for 2 separate beds I made through Booking.com was not received at the hotel. Next morning, this was sorted promptly and we got a gorgeous beach front room with 2 beds. A huge shout out to the hotel staff. Wonderful throughout, cleaning team, restaurant staff, beach staff! The property is beautiful, in stylish brown and beige colors. Location is great, as you can easily and safely walk to El Gouna center, with a promenade full of restaurants, cafes, shops, supermarkets, pharmacy. All you want is there. We also had BBQ dinner at the Chedi and it was great.

The beach was windy when we where there (the staff does bring you windbreakers next to the sunchairs) and the entrance to the water is a bit pebbly. Still fully enjoyed the beach and the privacy feeling.

The location, the hotel decor and ambiance, and the food was excellent!

The hotel doesn’t do any entertainment like a band to play at night or sunset drinks with music or anything like that. That i would say is the only thing missing that would make the hotel an AMAZING stay. For now its very very good, but if they added something to do at night, like a themed band every night something different.

Our stay at the Chedi was exceptional! Thanks to the staff from the room service to life guards, The Restaurant and Beach House that made our stay 10/10 The rooms were cleaned and decorated daily and the service was non stop and everyone were friendly and welcoming. Thanks to room service team! The Guest Relation Manager Maria helped us a lot navigating the hot spots and made reservations. The restaurant did an amazing job and even greater food everyday it got better and better! Thanks to Chef Nady and his team Hamd, Islam, Mahmud (serving eggs), Ahmed, Bishoy, Fatima and Marina The Beach House service was great too! thanks to Salem, Ahmed and Omar special thanks to life guards as well, Shebl, Islam, Ibrahim, Hatim and everyone on beach Duty. the stay will not be the last and can't wait to visit back and meet the great team again!

We’ve spent nine nights in the Chedi el Gouna in February. The location of the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are wonderfully arranged and the hotel was clean and felt luxurious. El Gouna downtown is a 10min walk away from the Chedi, but there’s also buses, taxis and tuk-tuks available. What really took the crown of our stay was the fantastic staff all around the Chedi hotel – we’ve never experienced friendliness like this in a hotel before. Everybody made sure that we feel welcome and we’d like to especially mention the following employees: Hedra – we’ve met him during our first dinner at the hotel and he was not only extremely competent but an amazing entertainer, too! We loved his friendly remarks and jokes and whenever we’ve encountered him during our stay, he was happy to take the time to have a chat with us and made sure we have everything we need. Mohamed – he’s the personal trainer in the Chedi’s own gym. He made sure we get all the support and tips we need during our workouts and was kind enough to share his extensive knowledge in sports and nutrition with us. You can tell that he’s a top athlete and an even great coach. You can book a session with him (for 450 L.E. if I’m not mistaken) which is a fantastic deal and we’d highly recommend it to anybody interested in sports. Ali – he was the housekeeper responsible for our room. Our room was always very clean and tidied up. He worked with a love for detail and you can tell that he enjoyed his work. Most of the days, he would stop by some time after his cleaning service to make sure that everything was fine for us and that we felt comfortable in our room. He’s an extremely kind and professional person. Esra and her staff – Esra greeted us every morning when we went for breakfast in the Chedi’s restaurant. She’s one of the friendliest persons we’ve encountered during our stay and took great care of us every morning.

The Chedi El Gouna is a wonderful place if you’re looking for a pleasant and comfortable holiday getaway. Really cosy while spacious and well furnished rooms (really recommend the Junior Suite category), amazing and attentive, overly friendly staff, great resort right at the beach with amazing outdoor pools with cabanas free of charge and a well equipped gym (Technogym gear). Half board and Nikon restaurant also highly recommended.

The property was 10/10. However, during a stay in mid-November, it becomes quite windy on certain days and especially in the evenings. So be prepared and bring enough clothes to change…

The best for relaxing, most calmest and cleanest resort I have visited in El Gouna. I really enjoyed me staying..I will definitely come again, and I’ll recommend it to everyone I know.. I would like to thank all the employees.. specially Mr. Philipp, Mr. Obaid, Mr. Alaa, Chef Muhawed, Mohamed Fouad, Melania, Maria, Hamada,,, and the Sheesha guy.. They were all friendly and helpful in a way that made me extend my stay for another 4 days. Also Mr. Phillipp gave me a discount for the extra 4 days. The beach could be better! needs a little maintenance and it becomes the No. 1 resort in El Gouna. And all of Hurghada

Absolutely nothing

Nice design, really nice beach, furniture beautiful. Staff were excellent and extremely service minded and kind! Restaurants also all very good.

The only thing we missed was an opportunity to wash the sand away from your feet before entering your room (if you have a double straight in the beach). This was quite annoying, but apart from that - all wonderful. We did have an unpleasant surprise at check out, since the beauty center (not the spa) had charged our girls 50 usd extra for blow drys, which they thought were included in the hair treatment. For two hair masks, we were supposed to pay 130 usd! Outrageous considering the general prices and salaries in Egypt!

We wanted a place to completely unwind and this was perfect. Would go again. Everything was very calm and tasteful, to a high standard. Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves each evening. Exceptional breakfast, looking out onto the red sea. Kayaking on crystal blue water. There are many more sunbeds and cabanas than hotel rooms so there was always plenty of choice for shade or sun, beach or pools. The resources of 2 pools and kids pool and beach for 80 rooms was an excellent ratio, it never felt too crowded and we always had plenty of choice. Our room was better than the photos. Very comfortable beds and beach sunloungers. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and unintrusive. We used the spa for massages and took classes with the gym instructor ( Yoga and bodypump). All were fantastic. High quality cusine. Highly recommend. El Gouna also has lovely restaurants around the marina and downtown, both of which are a few minutes away in a touktouk. The lagoon is very safe, you can touch the ground and walk 300m out into the sea. We had two days of 35km/h wind which was breezy, could make you want a tshirt in the shade, but not a problem for us. And 3-4days of 18km wind which was a perfect amount to keep cool in the 30-35 degree heat. Thank you to all at the chedi for a really lovely holiday.
