Our room was spotlessly clean, the room was a generous size and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was perfect and we very much enjoyed our stay. This boutique hotel has some of the best staff we’ve encountered on our travels, admirably led by Kristian (a special mention goes to Elizabeth on reception who was delightful). The staff in the dining area looked after everyone very well. There was a selection of fabulous food available for breakfast which catered for vegetarians, meat-eaters and those who needed a gluten free selection. This is a superb hotel. Thank you! We’ll be back 🙂 ….

Everything was PERFECT!

Quiet, spacious room with comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Excellent wifi in the rooms and lobby. Large shower. Lots of breakfast options (mainly continental/Finnish) with gluten free alternatives. Hotel is in an excellent location for visiting centre of Helsinki - 5 mins walk from Esplanadi park, Helsinki port and Old Market Hall, 10 mins walk to Helsinki cathedral and Allas sea pool. Plenty of restaurants around ranging from expensive authentic Finnish food, to cheaper fast food options.

Breakfast seating area was a little cramped as the hotel was quite busy. There is an outdoor seating area which may open during busy periods, but weather in the morning wasn't great so this was closed. Only one elevator but to be expected in a hotel of this size. Other than that, no complaints!

The location is great just near the Esplanade but in the inner silent square. Lots of dining places nearby (The Cock is recommended), also Stockmann and other shops are close to the hotel. Importantly, it’s in walking distance to/from railway station and bus station (Kampi). The hotel itself is splendid, has a brand-new designer fit-out, very well-equipped rooms, comfortable beds. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Though we missed breakfast, we have seen it looks very nice.

The entrance to the building can be somewhat inconvenient if you have massive luggage. I would expect a Finnish hotel to provide a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Also, our room for some reason missed any slippers (but we did not bother to ask for them).

We have stayed in hotel Fabian numerous times. It’s a nice and relatively small boutique hotel in a central part of Helsinki. The rooms are a decent size and the breakfast buffet is tasty.

Having said that we have stayed in this hotel numerous times, we have noticed the price-quality becoming a bit less. The cleaning of our bathroom wasn’t done properly (weeks old dust on shelves) and the breakfast buffet - however tasty - has less of the foods it used to have (for example warm smoked salmon). Overall it could use a bit of a freshening up.

The hotel is quite compact and small, located in walking distances to most attractions. The room was comfortable.

For the price I feel the hotel could have provided a kettle and tea/coffee service in the room. After such long travels and being Helsinki being a cold city having a warm drink facility in your room should definitely be there. It usually is a standard practice to provide this. Tea was an additional charge /service.

The only, but serious problem was, that the room air-conditioner was tuned ONLY for cooling, not for heating. Same to heat units on the wall- they stayed cold. Room T was about 21. All my attempts to warm the room were in vain. Too little T for those who are from warmer countries.

The location is great as it's tucked away in a semi residential area that is quiet but still walkable to the city centre and the harbour. Also the Kaivopuisto area (large park) is just a short stroll away and the sea views are extremely pleasant and calming.

Hotel isn't big thus the breakfast area is also quite small. When the weather permits it is great to have a morning coffee outside but otherwise it could become quite busy and crowded if you happen to come down at the wrong time.

Hotel Fabian is always excellent and a great location near to the esplanade and markets. Rooms are a good size, even with an extra single bed in it, and each has modern facilities and en suite bathrooms. Nice quiet courtyard facing windows for a restful night.

We were travelling with our 4 yo daughter so the typical breakfast options were not quite her taste but luckily she does love a croissant

Break, location and room were perfect for a quick city break! I actually worked from the hotel on the Friday and the hotel were able to arrange early check in which helped immensely. Wifi is also very good.

Nothing, If I had to say something, there wasn't a restaurant to get lunch, a snack or dinner, but you're in the centre of town so no more than a 3 mins walk to somewhere.

The room was decently sized and well decorated, value for the money you pay. location is amazing as well as you have almost all the central attraction in walking distance. its not right in the middle of the city center but in a 5 minutes walk you can reach the old market hall and estelaesplanadi, kind of an hideaway from the busy streets. its a very small property with limited facilities, but the hotel staff is extremely helpful. breakfast is very limited but good for a quick grab in the morning.
