We had a fantastic stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The service and housekeeping was on point as you would expect from a Mandarin Oriental, bringing attention to every detail. The pool area transports you to a resort atmosphere, forgetting you are in the middle of the city. The restaurant Matsuri was phenomenal, we ate there on multiple occasion because we wanted to explore all that the menu could offer. A short ballet rendition of the Nutcracker was organized in the lobby around Christmas time which lifted everyone's spirit. Will come back whenever visiting Santiago.

Some very picky recommendations: -The welcome drinks should include cocktails. That wasn't super clear at check-in, we had kept the coupons for cocktails for our last night, but when the moment arrived, we were told those weren't included and ended up wasting them. -The room was a bit dry, we asked for a humidifier but they weren't able to provide one which was a bit of a let-down. -The pool closed a bit early.

Breakfast was ok, but more cereals would have been nice. The club breakfast was much more restricted than the main restaurant selection. All the staff were fantastic.

In a hotel of this standard, the rooms should have porcelain cups and wine glasses not just paper take away cups. The club food selection savories were very similar each day. The pastries and cakes were lovely however. The gym, though well equipped, is in a dark room with no windows. They say that this is temporary, however, it has been like this for months (years??) The swimming pool is freezing- well not actually, but too cold for lazing around in. Very few used it because of this.

The hotel has an incredible staff - without exception, everyone was pleasant, helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, assisted and valued. However, a special shout-out goes to each of Gustavo and Patrick at the front door, to Kimberly on the front desk, and to Diego in the Club Room, all of whose services were personally appreciated by us. This hotel is the perfect place to relax after a long flight to Chile or to wrap up a vacation there. Absolutely the best!

The service around the pool area is a little slow and disorganized at times, but the food & drink offerings there are still great.

Amazing engaged helpful staff. Obviously big investment in training and it shows. Staff very happy to engage , inform and anticipate what you need. First class.

6 night stay not sure if bedlinen was changed ? And in the Executive lounge infants and children (noisy) should have a separate area or certain hours. Unusually noisy with infants and poorly monitored kids. Guests should not be allowed noisy intrusive facetious calls in the lounge. Rude and disruptive. Lounge staff amazing. Diego in particular.

The breakfast was very good, with all sorts of food to choose. The service was also very good. At breakfast, the view of the swimming pool and garden was very nice, too. The restaurant Senso was also a good dinner experience. The location of the hotel was very convenient and the room facing the mountains was outstanding. The oriental decoration of the hotel lobby was very nice. We stayed during the Chinese New Year, which was duly celebrated.

A good location out of town - a smart and modern area with local shopping and food mall just minutes away on foot. Also that's where the red tourist bus stops. Grab a token from the concierge for extra discount. Lovely grounds and pool of course.

I didn't spot that the booking didn't include breakfast. It can get quite busy with cruise groups. Not sure if the gym/spa were being refurbished; if not then perhaps a little limited.

Really lovely hotel with a beautiful pool area and nice vibe generally. Loved the night yoga they put on over the full moon. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive and had a good memory for guests day to day. Didn't have the breakfast but it looked nice. Good location - although a bit of a walk to a metro station so you need to rely on cabs to get around. Near a very cool and developing part of the city which felt very safe throughout the day and night.

Could have had better access to the metro. Outside facade feels a bit tired (unlike the beautiful interior and gardens).

I can’t really fault this hotel! The room was beautiful, clean, and extremely spacious. The staff were very attentive and super helpful, and the two restaurants were great.

The only disappointment I have is when they tried to organise a private wine tour for me at the last minute, as my original tour was cancelled. Although I am extremely grateful that they assisted me with this, it didn't quite go as planned. It turned out to be very costly, and the driver they sent me didn’t speak any English, therefore, we were unable to communicate.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well-stocked. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. The hotel is beautiful but the staff here just hit it out of the park. We were there with our teen and pre-teen daughters after 5 days in Patagonia on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The staff went above and beyond to make the holiday special for them. There was a beautiful show, amazing specialty treats everywhere! From the pool staff to the concierge everyone went above and beyond. The breakfast was divine as well. We have been to several Mandarin's and this exceeded out expectations. When I asked my younger daughter what her favorite part of our vacation was- she answered "oh for sure the Mandarin in Santiago", we will be back!

The room was amazing with the best view to the mountains, so spacious and nice. The food in both restaurants was great, everybody was friendly and it was a great choice in Santiago

The concierge never arranged my transport from the airport after emailing each other back and forth, so that’s my only negative thing to say, they never apologised for the incident either
