The location was perfect, in walking distance from the airport, which can be felt througout the stay as you could frequently see airplanes landing or taking off but due to the soundproof windows this is not as bothersome (it was kind of cool actually). The swimming pool was nice! (we also had one plane fly directly above us as we swam) - there are like 10 flights a day and only during the day, being a city airport, there are no flights during the night - so you don't have to fear that a plane will wake you up mid-night. The swimming pool was rarely occupied (we were staying mid-may) the initial dip was a bit cold but it got better fast enough. The staff was super nice, especially the bartender we met on our arrival. The room was nice and clean, with water and capsule coffee being refreshed daily (a regular and a decaf per person per day), the breakfast buffet had a wide enough selection so we could mix up our breakfast across our stay (and always it was nice). All in all a perfect stay, I can definitely recommend this hotel. 😊 PS: the maracuja Kima is a must try! (available at the bar)

One minor complaint would be the bedsheets, they were not so great (but also not too bad)

I really can't recommend this place enough if you're ever in Ponta Delgada and need a place to stay for the night. We were there for one night only as we were heading off to Faial, but the location is perfect if you're arriving late. The rooms are really comfortable and large, and have everything you could possibly need. We were made to feel really welcome too - the management gave us a lovely little amenity as a treat, which was a really nice touch. The staff were all so friendly, too.

The breakfast was satisfactory, however there is certainly room for improvement. The noise level was a little high due to another party in the restaurant.

Good breakfast, warm croissants, impressive! Dinner buffet quality very good but selection differs (not always choice jn proteines). 5 minutes walking to city and under 10 min to airport (10 Euro). Friendly personnel.

Planes coming right over the hotel but that can t be changed and it s not very early or late. Personnel doesn t seem to be knowledgable about the hotel program and that can be taught. I gave them my cc for extras but they kept asking me to come down to sign. Better make one sign immediately and not half an hour later . They really don t care about picking up the phone.had to walk back to hotel 30 minutes to ask a question. Matresses could be better....

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the room was cleaned daily. The room was spacious and the bed large and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location for walking into the central area and port. There was a good selection available at breakfast which was tasty. There is an underground car park available at EUR4/day but when we visited there was plenty of parking outside, which is chargeable between 08:00 to 19:00.

The room could be rather noisy at times. Leaving the balcony door open for ventilation resulted in increased traffic noise, especially in the morning. The hotel is also close to the airport and therefore the planes pass low and close by. Having said that it was not a major problem for us.

Very nice little hotel on the side of the city, close to the airport and harbour and centre of the city. Restaurants very close to the hotel and within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful all the time. We got coffee refiled and drinking water every day. The room had a small fridge and we could store cold drinks in it. Swimming pool looked nice, but it was just too cold for a swim, this time of the year This is a real gem!

Good size room, bathroom was rather dated / tired. Did use the hotel pool or breakfast so cannot comment. Parking outside the hotel was reasonably priced (as we were out and about most of the time we only have to pay for a couple of hours each day).

Updated bathroom - or at least revamped tile grouting etc. In room info advise that bath robes were available but none found. Didn't mention to reception as had no need for them after our first night stay.

The shower is equipped with a watersave showerhead which has very little pressure. Washing my hair was a bit of an issue when it came to rinsing it.

When I arrived, they'd upgraded me to a twin room with a balcony so I had a view of the sea. I liked the little touches in the room - from the welcome biscuits and local tea to the soaps and shampoo provided in the bathroom. The location was really good too and I was at the main square within 5-10 minutes' walk. The staff were also super friendly and checked me in early. I was a little poorly on my trip and this was exceptional service.

I wish I'd had more time to go down and use the pool but that's on me with my bad timekeeping, not the hotel's fault.

The rooms are VERY comfortable: Good beds, armchairs, spacious, nice balcony overlooking the city, everything was clean and new. The swimming pool is large, Parking on the premises is excellent. (There is also plenty of public parking outside the hotel which is free between 19:00 and 8:00 am.) Staff very friendly and helpful. After check out we could use the pool, the very pleasant lobby, and the bar until we had to leave for the airport. The location of the hotel is very convenient: Five minutes by foot from the historic center of Ponta Delgada, but away from its narrow roads and very easy to reach by car from the airport.

The pool area offers no shade at all and the number of deck chairs is too small.

The hotel was well maintained and clean, the staff extremely friendly and understanding. In particular we had some very personal touches: early check-in (we were exhausted from a very early morning flight), complimentary breakfast, and a birthday cake delivered to the room (they had noticed at check-in that it was my daughter's birthday).

The hotel is not recent (eg, old bathroom) but nevertheless well maintained and very clean.
