I had a wonderful stay at Azoris Royal Garden – Leisure & Conference Hotel. The facilities were excellent, well-maintained, and made for a very comfortable experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. The food was also great, with good variety and quality. Everything about my stay was smooth and enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-managed place to stay. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

There were a couple of things that could be improved. I was required to wear a cap for the pool, which was fine, but when I requested one at reception, I wasn’t informed that there was a charge. It was a surprise to find out at checkout that each cap cost €3—it would have been much better if this had been communicated upfront. Another small issue was with breakfast. Early in the morning, the scrambled eggs were hot and fresh, but after 8:30 AM, they tended to be a bit cold. A little more attention to keeping the food warm would make a big difference.

Had a fantastic stay with plenty of amenities! The gym, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and even a tennis court were impressive—I wish I had more time to enjoy them all. Breakfast was decent, and they also had bikes available for rent, which was a nice touch. A great spot for a relaxing and activity-filled getaway!

I was still hearing music at 11 PM, so better soundproofing would be appreciated. Also, for a 4-star hotel, I expected the staff to offer assistance with carrying luggage from the room. Still, overall, it was a nice stay with lots of potential.

The hotel is beautiful, set in a quiet location in the town of Ponta Delgada on the gorgeous and idyllic island of São Miguel. The common areas of the hotel are spacious and comfortable and the game room with a billiard table was fun for the evening after getting a drink from the bar. The room had a great view of the outdoor swimming pool. The bed was incredibly comfy and the room was spacious and had plenty of storage. The included Nespresso machine in the room was an excellent bonus. The facilities such as gym, steam room, sauna, pool and jacuzzi were great.

I found the bathroom to be a bit outdated compared to the rest of the room and hotel.

Azoris Royal Garden is one of the most luxurious Hotels in Ponta Delgada. It's conveniently located 10 minutes from the airport and provides a nice, comfortable suite. Most Staff were friendly, spoke English, and were accommodating. Nice rooms with closets and balconies. They offered us two rooms connecting my kid's room to ours, making things much more convenient. Hotels provide Parking spaces if you plan on renting a car for 9 Euros a night. The parking spots are tight, but there are plenty of spaces and even spots for EVs. The best feature was the Pool, a big hit with my kids. It was nicely maintained and clean, and we truly enjoyed swimming and cooling off by the pool during our stay. You can walk to the downtown and local shops and restaurants within 20 minutes. It's a great location!

While the Hotel was close to the airport, the planes crossed right over the Hotel and on busy nights, you could hear the planes throughout the night. It was loud and woke us up for the first two nights until we got used to it later. The showers could have been a bit cleaner. We stayed at 411 and 412, and there was some build-up of black Mold around the corners. We ignored it as this hotel was great and loved our stay. Don't let little things discourage you, as you would love your stay!

The staff is nice, the hotel is big and spacious. On the first floor there are lots of chairs, benches and tables that invite you to just sit and relax. The indoor pool is a nice size, and there is a steam room and a sauna. Dinner at the KOI restaurant is good and reasonably priced if you are dining a la carte. It is easy to walk into the center of town and the airport is only 10 minutes away. That means that you will have aircraft flying close by during the day, but I didn't hear or see any planes late at night.

The sauna is not very hot.

The staff was fantastic. One of the restaurant employees went out of his way to refill our water bottles during our first morning at breakfast. We discovered markets and were able to buy water for the remainder of our stay. Lots of good restaurants are within walking distance, as is the waterfront. The Koi restaurant in the hotel was very good too. We stayed at in a family suite. It had lots of nice amenities: robes, slippers, a Nespresso coffee maker, and cookies delivered every evening. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff was very accommodating.

The most bothersome thing was a loud sound that occasionally came through the vents. We figured out that it was probably from the elevators. We got use to it, and it wasn’t a problem after the first day.

This property was beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. Our family suite had two bedrooms and two full baths and was VERY spacious and beautiful. The pool area was amazing with tons of lounge chairs and lots of umbrellas to escape the sun and a pool bar with pool service including food, which we weren’t expecting. The indoor bar that was open till 1 a.m. with pub food was a great touch as well. Lots of fancy cocktails to enjoy at both of the bars! Gluten free bread options (when available) was a plus for the gluten allergies in my family! The breakfast was amazing with a huge variety of options and many flavors of fresh squeezed juice. Definitely a great hotel for leisure and a nice break during our long vacation packed with visiting family and excursions. There are a few restaurants within close walking distance. There was also a gluten free Portuguese bakery within walking distance that was AMAZING.

The only thing that we were not happy about with this hotel was the restaurant (Koi) which we found when we arrived on a Sunday and were looking for dinner was that the restaurant in the hotel is a 25 Euro per person buffet style traditional Portuguese boil dinner which we were quite sick of after already being in the Azores for a week. It is NOT the actual Asian inspired food that you see on the hotel website as advertised. At the same time, we were told that many of the restaurants in Ponta Delgada are closed on Sundays and Mondays and all of the restaurants that actually are open take reservations and are jam-packed due to the lack of open restaurants. It would be nice if the hotel offered something better on Sundays and Mondays for dinner when restaurant options in the area are scarce.

family room is spacious and very comfortable, breakfast are good, but almost the same stuff everyday. nice swimming pool, tennis court and small but clean gym.

dinners weren't great, in form of buffet but disappointing. better to go out and try one of dozens of restaurant in surroundings. I went for a massage which was also disappointing, relaxing massage was a torture, too much pain too few pleasure 😜 and let's be honest it's not a cheap place so my expectations were set pretty high.

Excellent location,good facilities, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast and good value for a winter break

These are 2 minor issues: 1. The balconies have a small step in them towards the edge to assist drainage. As it's all the same tiling it's not obvious. I tripped over it a couple of times (was sober) and on one occasion nearly dropped my phone over the edge. 2. We had an early flight and was initially told there was no breakfast available until 7am. However when checking out at 6am we were told it was available. Not a major issue but would have saved us having to eat at the airport

Large, comfortable room but a long walk from reception. Nice large indoor pool, with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Indoor, car park right adjacent to the reception area..

Location is in a non-descript location in the West of the main centre. 10-15 minute walk to restaurants etc. Room could have used a simple kettle for making tea. Breakfast was crowded - they need to extend the time at least another 30 minutes.
