Excellent location, good facilities, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast and good value for a winter break

These are 2 minor issues: 1. The balconies have a small step in them towards the edge to assist drainage. As it's all the same tiling it's not obvious. I tripped over it a couple of times (was sober) and on one occasion nearly dropped my phone over the edge. 2. We had an early flight and was initially told there was no breakfast available until 7am. However when checking out at 6am we were told it was available. Not a major issue but would have saved us having to eat at the airport

Breakfast was great with lots of food choices. Although, toasting your bread or buns was very slow. Extra toaster/ toasting stations would have been more efficient and comfortable for all guests as there were long wait times for one toaster.

Waiting for check in at 3 pm. not fun. Earlier check in time would be nice as most travellers arrive early morning due to their red eye flight. Our family of 5 people were tired, sleepy and hungry. Offering a quick breakfast would have been great as we had yet to find out where to go within the hotel in the city. When asked for recommendations and directions regarding restaurants or Medieval Times reception staff not very interested in helping No mention Milicias Beach, the beach near the hotel.

The rooms are very nice, stylish and very clean. On the street side they are a bit noisy, but it was not disturbing for us. The ladies of the room cleaning on the other hand are very nice! The location is basically good, because you are in a few minutes walk in the historic center. However, the street in which the hotel is located is haunted by many drug users. Not only once you could observe a deal and met shady characters. However, one feels safe in the hotel. The hotel bar offers a lot of seating, which conjures up a great ambience! The hotel is generally very well kept and nice and you feel comfortable. They offer a great tennis court, but the rackets to borrow are junk. One still plays with the first stringing. A new stringing and new balls would be great. I think the breakfast is absolutely fantastic and everyone can find something from meat to egg to vegetables, fruits and sweets.

The staff at the bar laughs very little except for the bar manager, who is very friendly and also fast, the others are rather slow and every order seems like a huge amount of work for them. The food at the pool bar is less intoxicating. The Chicken Salad is old, reheated meat and stale bread. The Tunfish Salad, on the other hand, is quite good, as are the pasta dishes. The Mediterranean sandwich, on the other hand, was again made of stale bread and consisted of pesto and a slice of tomato. Unfortunately, we never tested the food in the evening.

Room was big enough and nice. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom. SPA facilities were not that great but good enough and not too many people used them, which was a plus. Very nice staff and a birthday surprise was a little bonus. Location - very close to the centre and the airport.

Breakfast- practically the same food everyday, not good for a longer stay. When some of ingredients were out, they did not bring more even if it was still quite early. Definitely could be much better!

Hotel is all clean and has lots of interesting areas to hang out. What I loved about the hotel were people. All caring so much, all being very attentive and despite the hotel being quite full on some days, many of the staff members remembered us (my wife is on gluten-free diet and during breakfast we didn´t even to request special meal, they knew immediately and with smile). Once I wasn´t feeling well, but I was hungry, so I went to the restaurant and ordered risotto. It was very good, although I could not finish it (I left a lot on the plate). When the staff asked me if everything was all right (in very pleasant, not intruding way), I explained myself and they immediately offered me pot of tea "on the house" to make me feel better. The next day they asked me how I feel (during busy breakfast). This "human touch" in a busy conference hotel I consider as excellent and very rare in the today´s world. Everything else is already described by other visitors - room nice and clean, quite quiet (almost in the city center), breakfast with variety of options, many options were locally produced, all good.

corridor in our room lacked space for shoes. when you enter the room, you walk in directly to the narrow corridor with closets, so shoes were either hidden in the closet, or next to bed. but that's minor thing

I cannot fault this hotel. The price was at the limit of what I would pay normally, but I thought it represented good value, especially as an excellent breakfast buffet was included. We stayed here on the first night of our trip as it is close to the airport and out flight got in at about 8:30 in the evening. We were upgraded to the master suite which was totally unexpected and definitely welcome. We made a reservation to return on our last night, but (sadly) no upgrade possible 🥲 although the standard room was no hardship!

Everything was great! We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel - comfy room and bed, SPA area, and breakfast. We were positively surprised that a decent breakfast was served even at 4 a.m for those who check-out to catch the morning flight.

The downside was paid parking so we simply parked behind the corner on the street (EUR 8 VS. 2 per night). It's not a problem at all but could have been a nice offer during a low-season ;)

It’s located centrally in Ponta Delgada so everything is within walking distance. Lots of amenities including a great wellness area with pool, sauna and steam room which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was wonderful, lots of selection and very tasty. The rooms were super comfortable, spacious and clean. Everyone we encountered there was very helpful and extremely nice! We loved having casual drinks at the bar — great cocktails and very good bartenders!

We liked most the good quality of the bed, size of the room and the view which is overlooking the garden. Breakfast choices were very good. The staff including the ladies cleaning our room were very efficient in their work. They have a big parking area which was not free. It costs 6 euro a day. There are many areas in the hotel where you could sit and work. As our departure was very early, the staff at the reception offerred a wake up call plus the taxi picking us up at 4.50 am.

We stayed there for a week and I did not know how often the ladies cleaning the room changed the beddings. I have to write an note for changing of the bed linens after 3 days.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel with modern, spacious and well equipped rooms incl. a comparatively big balcony. We really like the decorations on the first floor where the bar is located and enjoyed the breakfast, food and drinks while listening to the live piano play. They also have a very nice garden and spa area with sauna, pool, whirlpool. The staffs are all very friendly and hotel is located in the central area.
