Interesting apartment in the Tower itself, styled according to a film made in the town. Quirky and comfortable. There were music lessons in the same building, which added a nice ambiance. The flat itself was quiet.

Our son has an egg allergy, which we mentioned to everybody in the restaurant. However his plate still arrived with a little dish of mayonnaise. In the end it was fine, but it didn't feel like allergies were well understood by everyone involved, so is a little stressful. Our meals were otherwise excellent.

Good location and we where able to park in the street across from the hotel. Booked a meal in the hotel at night which was excellent but the menu wasn’t in English and the waitress didn’t appear to speak English so we had to get our phones out to translate the menu. The hosts where a lovely couple and very friendly unlike their waitress.

The breakfast was only continental and not much choice but was adequate. Would of liked tea and coffee facilities in the room, that said they had a separate guest lounge that you could go in for refreshments which was a nice touch.

Valerie was such a lovely warm and welcoming host, communication was very good and check in was an easy and straightforward process. The house was spacious and could easily accommodate two families. It is very well equipped. Parking was easy. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen of high quality. The bathroom on the middle floor was very nicely presented and huge! We really enjoyed our breakfast in the restaurant, there had been a lot of love and attention put into the Christmas decorations, they were superb and it was really atmospheric and beautiful! The breakfast was very very good, there was a superb selection of local French cheeses, that were delicious!!! We would like to return and also have a dinner in the lovely restaurant.

It was a perfect stay!

Our arrival was well orchestrated, Valerie sent me a text asking roughly our arrival time and at the same time asked if we needed a reservation for Dinner. The accommodation offered to us was first class and of an excellent standard. The surrounding town is quite charming and after a walk, we settled down in the Courtyard and enjoyed a perfectly cooked meal in delightful surroundings. A perfect end to our perfect jaunt across Europe!

Everything was Excellent!!

What a wondefull place in the middle of the small town of Bergues. We were travelling back to Germany from England. We had booked a room and also a table in the restaurant in advance. Street parking was no problem at all. A lovely old house but with modern facilities marvelously decorated by Valerie with much love and good taste. Everything was perfect and of the best quality. Bed, linen, bathroom with modern shower, towels and bathrobes. Also a very good class restaurant with quality food and reasonable prices. The breakfast was also excellent with baguettes, croissants, bread, fresh fruit, joghurt, home made jams etc. and real french coffee. All very good quality. Next time we will surely stay longer!

Everything was perfect

Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and plenty of coffee. We had access to a pleasant tea room with biscuits chocolate and tea. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meal was good

The lack of any choice for the children’s evening meal. We believed it was family friendly and contacted them beforehand about the children’s menu. We were told thee was nuggets and hamburgers. However on the evening there were only nuggets available

A wonderful hotel the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. It was no problem to park the car in the street and parking was free. The hotel room was just perfect with classical French charm, the fixtures and wooden flooring giving it a cosy atmosphere and the bed was also extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good and ample and we were more than satisfied. We look forward to staying again.

We have always received a very warm welcome from the owners. They offer an outstanding dinner and breakfast with very good value and a good choice of dishes. Dinner served in the walled garden was wonderful on our return journey. Bedrooms have a very pleasing and relaxing ambience.

The shower cubicle (circular shape) in our bathroom is little difficult to use for older people with mobility problems.

Everything ! Magic place in the heart of Flandes! 100% recommended, 10min from Dunkirk beach, just perfect. also the village is very cute, full of history and charm. from the crew who were lovely and caring, the room (suite) with big windows and view to the church and the gardens, sooooo beautiful! like been in a castle 😍 to the magnificent Dinner, OMG so delicious, and the wonderful breakfast. we loved everything and we really thanks Chez Nous for their hospitality and to take care of our dogs, who were very welcomed. animal care! definitely 10 point, we will come back! merci beaucoup! I liked it all!

It was beautifully furnished, 100% clean and comfortable. It was very kind of the lady to let us have breakfast the next day at a time we chose.

It would have been good to mention that the apartment address was a short walk from the address on the booking. This was a bit intimidating to start with! But I apologise, the owner had tried to email and whatsapp me but i hadnt received either because of being on a foreign phone network.
